UB57's 5-Lapper!!!

CONGRATULATIONS & MANY THANX to all the Racers who took part! Hope you had 1/2 as much fun Racing as I did putting this thing together! In the future I think we'll need to require Carbon Fiber Man to run on "SIM" Tyres however if we use this Venue again!

Finishing Order

Carbon Fiber Man / 7'35.537 DS2 / MT
GT3mich / 7'41.100 MOMO / MT
UB57 / 7'42.825 DFP / MT

eggmann / 7'42.850 DFP / MT
phattboy / 7'45.004 DS2 / MT
Famine / 7'47.702 DS2 / MT
Neon Duke / 7'51.555 DS2 / MT
DerAlta / 7'59.705 DS2 / MT
HareTurtle / 8'03.460 DS2 / MT

My Sincere Condolences to two of our Drivers lotus350 & HighonPSI who ran the track in the "Normal" rather than "Reverse" Direction. I know you're disappointed as are the rest of us.

THANX too for including your "M.O.V." Once & for all I'm convinced there's no "Rhyme of Reason" associated with the "AI's" performance. (Just as phamine already knows!)

BTW: Speaking of phamine, the Lucky Bloke found "The Race" I hoped we'd ALL find with the narrowest M.O.V. of ONLY 0.170 SECONDS!

BTW #II: (That's the same as #2 for SOME of you in the U.K.! ) I have a VERY Similar 10-Lapper about ready to go. I "Think" I've come up with a "Novel" solution to the "AI" Contact problem. In 5-6 "tests" it's been "Outstanding" & is yielding the Race I intended this 5-Lapper to be. Let me know if you're interested.

THANX AGAIN! ...UB57 :D

Thanks for the interesting race Bob. However the AI wasn't much of a problem for me, with a decent lineup I could get past the whole field by the first left at the soonest, or at T2 at the latest. Clear sailing from there on out. My fastest free run and in race lap was a 1:28.9 for both, a 1.28.5 or less would be possible if I would spend some time on it. My submitted race had the following laps:

1:35.491
1:29.607
1:29.742
1:30.436
1:30.261

The attatched .zip file has my submitted run, a free run lap, and a dirty 5 lap run that had a lap in the 1:28's and was close to my ultimate goal of 7:32's.

Thanks for picking Seattle II Bob, that probably won't happen again anytime soon:embarrassed: Sign me up for the next race and you guys should have a much easier time keeping up with me (and beating me most likely)

CFM, you da man! 7:35! Unbelievable. Great comp Bob. 👍 I had difficulty getting thru the AI except in my race that I submitted. The replay is worth just watching for the 1st 15 seconds.
Here's my replay.

Congrats to CFM, GT3Mich and our gracious host on the smokin podium times! I'll definitely have to pop some corn and watch those replays. And a "well done" to all who hung in there and came up with a submittable run. I know how rough it was at the back of the pack. I'd pass the 4th and 5th place cars only to have them hammer me a turn or two down the road. I think my best finish was third. I ran a couple of 7:59s and a few 8:01s but not clean. I think I made it to first place once, just at the start/finish line beginning the third lap. I was so stunned by this unprecedented development that I promptly overran the turn-in for the chicane, and splatted on the wall. :ouch:

For the record, I used DS2/MT

@ UB57; Would it be possible to add the MOVs to the results? Just curious.

Congrats to CFM, GT3Mich and UB57. Amazingly fast.

And waugh CFM. Fantastic consistency in you lap times.

And deep respect to all of you, who managed to get a clean race under these circumstances.

Congrats to CFM on a blazing run! 👍

I would have had another shot last night but the football kinda made me feel like going to bed instead, so I did :(

Well done to all those who managed top get this finished

The "M.O.V." Figures were all over the place!!! & didn't seem to match the total times at all. As stated phamine had the closest race w/0.170' margin while GT3mich had the widest w/3.039'. I had two saves within 0.111' of each other but the slower one had a wider "M.O.V." Even CFM's "Blazing Runs" (YES, he had TWO submitted UNDER 7'40!!!:eek: ) were in the 2.5-2.8 range. "Go Figure" All I can make of it is the "Game" just won't let you get too far ahead unless you have LOTS more HP. Will have to try it in a F-1 just to see what happens!  THANX Again...UB57 :D
