YEP!!! That is Simba... Did a frame off build up 3 years ago! Locked and loaded...LOVE IT!

Good to see some posts here!!! 👍 It was so quiet today I thought maybe EVERYONE but me went on Vacation w/GT3mich!!! :lol: Leaderboard will be updated shortly...UB57 :D

Oh Yeh, forgot to add: I was forced to run a few more races, (something I "Try" not to do once the comp begins) 'cause I found that BOTH my race saves were "Dirty." Had a couple 100% Clean but well off my best & decided I was taking it too easy on our "Ride." Took 'er out for another attempt & "Manhandled" it the whole 10-Laps with the tyres screeching in EVERY Turn. Don't know how all of your set-ups work, but mine apparently rewards "Hard Driving"!!! Got to within 0.14x seconds of my best "Dirty" time so I can "Finally" add a "Wheel Time" to the Leaderboard. 👍

Simba looks awesome Phattman (can't call anyone older than me boy, there are too few of 'em ;))!! I had a '73 for a short time that had a Buick 350 V8 stuffed in it! :embarrassed: Only took it out on "2 tracks" as there isn't anything else around these parts, lol. Great phun anyways! If you have more pics, email 'em my way, I'd love to see them! 👍

South Dakota has some of the gnarliest wheelin' anywhere in the US where I live. Two tracks to BIG stuff and everything in between!

My wife's FJ40 (yah I know but ya gotta realize, I bought her a welder for Christmas two years ago too :lol: ) is named "tigger" and painted up accordingly. So, I figured, if I gotta wheel around in a cartoon character, ya better be able to back that up so... I stuffed a ZZ3 350 with a few extra mods in it in the thing. Two wheel drive, low range using only third and fourth gears 0-60 in under 5 seconds :lol: Dang near lift the front tires off the ground :lol:

I'll dig up some more pics and shoot 'em off to you. Got a killer set of me on my top in Simba! Zigged when I should have Zagged.

Heh, my name fell from the top pretty quick...I knew it wouldn't hold up as it was an inconsistant run, and it was only the first race that I won. I'll try again maybe but I'm not really in the mood, I've got 7 days off from work and want to do some other things right now, like go outside and get the Miata warmed up:D

BTW: Since GT3mich couldn't make this round he apparently sent the other "Michigan Madman" slowpoke to fill in!!! :irked: Gonna be a tough road to the Podium this race!!! :cheers:

Thanks UB. I've reached my target time with this last submission. :D

Now I really have to focus on the weekly. Haven't seen any improvement there for days. But I'll properly return to this Tuesday evening and give it one last shot.

well, to be honest, i need some help with the tuning, i am just not going anywhere with my setting. any help would be greatly apreciated.
 
Well, well, well. Back from vacation and still some time to run this race. After driving 850 miles in one day to get home, I hope I remember how to drive GT3 :lol: Time for some sleep phirst. :boggled:

@angelx: Let me know if phattboy's Set-up doesn't help as I've come up with a completely different one. A "Little" quicker but much "Spookier" & allows for NO mental lapses at all. Had all Laps except 1,5 & 6 in the low 47s then after passing the R-390 on Lap #9, I lost concentration on the final turn before the front straight & he nudged me off the track & into the wall, spoiling "probably" my best clean time so far! :banghead: Keep at it!!!👍 ...UB57 :D

BTW: I raised the butt end up a little on my last time submit. Still wasn't as fast as UB and Slowpoke so you might ought to want to take UB up on his offer. I suspect those two know something us lowlifes don't. :odd:

I'm pretty much out of time now so... at least I won in the game :lol:

Must be something to driving with a steering wheel. Seems those are the speedy boys. ;)

This was a GREAT race UB!!! Really tested me in both figuring out both a setup and how to get around the track with it. I know there is much more time to be garnered in there but, as usual, just don't have the time to go garnering. :lol: I must have run twenty or so times only to end up with restarts (for lack of driver ability :dunce: ) upon passing that stupid R390 the second time. That cat just didn't want to go down.

The other thing that caused me a few restarts was contact before T1. Sheesh! I would pass the GT40 cause he would swing waaaayyy wide or smack into the wall and I would swing under or by and off the wall he would come all of a sudden and "WHACK"! :irked: Every now and then the GT40 or the Jag would just get a "Wild Hair" too :lol: Go CRAZY!!! Seemed like the 787B was always that way... Zoom-Zoom-Zoom-Whack! :lol:

I still haven't tried this one yet. Hopefully a couple hours tonight will be enough to run a decent race. If anyone's feeling generous, please PM me some settings. :)
 
@ eggmann and whoever else is interested:

Here is what I was running on my last time submit although obviously you might ought to want to get settings from the boys above me (specially since you have a wheel)... I couldn't seem to put together 10 consistent laps against the competition, although I was able to get regular "hot laps" in the 1'46.xxx with a fastest one at 146.49x with these settings.

Ride Height 65/60

Bound F/R 4/5
Rebound F/R 4/5
(NOTE: I also had some luck with these a little softer as well.)


Camber 1.5/1.5 (I also had some luck with 2.0/2.0)

No Toe

Stabs 2/2 and I think I even ran at 1/1

Brakes 24/22

Auto Set at 30 (29 was faster through T1 and at a couple other spots on the track but I had better luck overall with the 30)

Full DF

No ASM

TCS at 5

If you want the hotlap to chase around a little, I could email it to whomever when I get home tonight.

In the spirit of fair play, I'll add my 2 cents here re: settings. Just copied/paste-ed your post Phattman, then edited my changes. I have gotten well down into the 45's in Free Run, and some 45.5's in Race mode (NTSC replay available). Sure is a slippery beotch tho! :)

Ride Height 115/55 (reduces the rear end coming around)

Bound F/R 6/6
Rebound F/R 6/5
Camber 2.5/1.0
Toe Angle 0.0/0.0
Stabs 6/4 (I think it holds onto the rumble strips better at this setting)
Brakes 18/17 (perfect for my brake points)

Auto Set at 31 (30 was faster through T1 and at a couple other spots on the track but I had better luck overall with the 31)

DF100/115
ASM 0
TCS at 4

Takes a fair bit of throttle control coming around the corners, and don't be afraid to stretch the rev meter out to 7000, but no further.
