Someone been using "the greyhound method"? I can't crack 1'20s - although I can still lead the AI to the end.
 
I got a 1'17.8 in an aborted race. Best of 1'18.2xx in a yet to be submitted race. But I've never beaten the AI. My AI rules!
 
Bob, this is taking forever to reload to get the car line up that you requested :grumpy: I've doing this for 30 minutes with no joy :grumpy:
I either get the Tom's with the Denso or no Denso at all.
 
Yes, trying to get the correct line up is really annoying. All that matters I think is that there is a Denso in there since they are the fastest.
 
Rules Adjustment!!!​

:confused: Just PMed GT3mich & I'll make an Announcement here as well. ANY COMBO which yields a Best "AI" time of between 20'32 & 20'47 is O.K. (This is the "Span" reported so far.)

I just have to post some combos for the rules that I've "tested" against, in an effort to find out "About" where they're running. I sure wish there was an easy way to ascertain ALL the "AI" combos available???

I'd have guessed it was a PAL/NTSC deal IF GT3mich wasn't having trouble as well. I ran 2 more tests today & got the "Specified" line-up the first time. Had to "re-set" once for the second race! :odd::confused: Let me know if anyone else is having problems! ...UB57 :D

EDIT: Just ran it again & MUST pass this on! IF you're still running MY set-up...change "Camber" to 1.8/1.6! This is "ala" a recommendation from GoKents (THANX!👍 ) during the Godzilla Race. Ran twice within a second of my best & then "Found" over 3 SECONDS just layin' around out there! :eek::eek:

OOps, forgot to add that I had my first two "Non Draft-Aided" sub 1'18s! A 1'17.856 On Lap #4 & a 1'17.763 on Lap #8. :D

Sorry Bob, no time to run this one :( much as I'd've loved too, spent most of last week in Seattle, 2 days this week in Monterey, and I've still got my parents staying with me until Aug 31st when they fly back to Blighty. Sounds like a fun combo. Hope you'll keep me up there as an automatic entrant for Vol III. 👍
 
I'll submit a time soon. It's hard to get 15 clean laps that are fast ... Hey, but that's the point of this isn't it? All fun. :)

I hit my first saveable race last night, info PM'd to da Boss :) MOV was 17.635 seconds over the Denso Supra. Then this morning I ran a race just to see what I could do. Told me I have another 12 seconds to take off! :crazy: :lol:

Here are my settings, not much differant than UB's (suspension wise):

ME! I've had on at least 5 different occasions to reset the field 30 times before the "original" lineup showed up, only to slam into the bumper of one on turn 1, reset, and reset 30 more times. Once in awhile that combo would show up withing 5 resets, but not very often.

I don't know any quick way to figure out which combos will produce a "lead time" within the times you posted, but I would guess that if they include either the Denso, Mugen, or Arta, then they should work, since those two NXS's sometimes beat the Denso in my races. I've never tried with the Castrol Tom's though...
 
:D Go ahead & run whichever combo the "AI" throws at you eggmann! 👍 I've got a hunch the "Span" listed above is about the limit, although every time I've run it (About 10-12 times alteady) the wiining times have been within 3-4 seconds of each other!!! :eek:
I used to think that the more you ran a particular race the more "Difficult" the "AI" became to defeat but I now believe the combos are all random, just another "vagary" of the Game!?!?:confused: Try to get a time in before tomorrow noon as I'm sure Der Alta's Instant Race will occupy most of us for at least an hour!!! ...UB57 :D

Had a bit too much contact with the AI for submission. Off to run dinner to the wife and then give it another shot.

Just made my second :eek: submission today.

First one only cut of 3 seconds, and didn't take me away from the last place. :(

Had to try it once more. This time I took another 12 seconds. Hope that's enough. :D

Thanks for a great race, UB. I was a little scared of the walls after Tokyo, but this one turned out to be a lot of fun. 👍 👍

Yep, gonna do another Instant Race tomorrow (Sunday). Hope to see you there.

I'm PM'ing a time in to UB57. The MOnsters are going ape, and it's almost time to shut them down. I'm exhausted, and the missus told me to pick up Movie tickets to the 12:30am showing of Hero (tonight).

TOmorrow is going to be a long day.

My current fast lap is 1'19.399. This car is just incredibly touchy at turn in, and seems to wash the instant you get the wheel too far turned in. Been having a bit of trouble with that. If this is considered a rapier, I'll bet it's not full tang, but more likely bolted in with a rubber bushing.

Not gonna be able to submit anything for this one. I've completed it about 20 times, but each run had either one extra wall-touch, or 2 in between pits and no others throughout the race. I've been driving it nonstop for the past 5 hours, but now I have to get ready for my reunion, and I'll be at the State Fair all day tomorrow. Best first laps were 1:27.1, and best race laps were 1:17.2. Good luck to everyone.
 
:D Sorry to hear that eggmann!!! :indiff: "Sterling" times however, my bet would have been you'd would have had a Podium Finish! ...UB57 :D

Ugh... Just posted a 1'18.830 fast lap. Was clean and on a record pace for me. A handful of 1'19.0XX's and I was quite happy.

Then it just sorta fell apart after the second pit stop. Couldn't keep it off the walls, missing braking points, lighting up the tires sending the car sideways.

Finished 15 seconds slower than my best so far.

With the Instant race tomorrow, I'm done for this round.

ive been racing this, but i have yet to come away with a clean race. 15 laps is a long time to keep my concentration..haha. lately i havent even been trying to go balls out for a fast time, im just trying to get somthing CLEAN so i can submit, but who knows if that'll happen. im not killin myself over this race cuz if i try too hard i'll just get too frustrated w/ it. i'll see what i can come up w/ tonight, but otherwise im done. It still has been a fun race tho, when i first started i didnt see any possibility of beating the AI, and now i have no problems gettin away from them, so its great to see how far ive come w/ it, but i still dont know if ill be able to get somthing CLEAN
