Actually, the races are on Saturday mornings. Not Sunday.
I can't read some days. Still available this weekend, I might have work interfere sometimes though. Thanks for the catch. ;)

Edit: Yup, says Saturday, plain as day now, swore it said Sunday the first time. Also, its 1am local time so that could be the problem.

Hey, I was wondering if you guys would be ok if I joined in for the practice? I'm not much of a good racer but I did enjoy my time in both of these tunes back when @CyKosis1973 started the BTCC Racing series. Also, I joined the club and still have a few of my favorite @Ridox2JZGTE tunes hidden in my garage somewhere. :)

Edit: Fixed tag.

Welcome aboard :) and have fun racing :P

@danbojte, Should we allow the Scirocco to use the Loose setup ? This will greatly help with rotation and eagerness to turn in :) The scirocco had lower rear toe out as base, and may not be on par with the civic in terms of agility. The loose setup helps to keep things in balance.
Obviously, I will defer to @danbojte, but just to throw my two cents into this conversation -- I ran about 10 laps with each car setup the way Page 1 says to set them up (NOT using the loose setup on the VW) and my lap times were very, very close. I was a teeny bit faster with the Honda, but I used the VW first. I wouldn't be surprised if I were faster with the Honda solely because I was now warmed up to the track with that PP level. I'm talking less than a second difference per lap. Next time I run practice laps I will use the Honda first and see if I end up running better with the VW since I will be using it last.

I must admit that I ran these 10 lap stints in Arcade Mode, so I didn't have to take into account tire wear, which is obviously very important in our Saturday race...My next session will be in the official practice room so I can run with fuel & tire wear turned on.

@DaBomm4 -- So, 8AM EST is 1AM where you live? Ahh...I didn't realize. I see that you have Wisconsin listed as your home state, so I assumed you were only a time zone, or two at the most, behind me...My mistake! :embarrassed: :sly: :D

Oh, I meant to add:

@danbojte, when you post the Specifications for the car(s) that we're to use for the weekend race series, could you possibly also post Ridox's recommended brake balance for ABS=0. I know we can use any settings we want for brake balance, but it would at least give someone like me, who is pulling their hair out with ABS=0, a head start in figuring out what works best for my driving style. I believe Ridox usually post his recommended brake balance settings on his tune sheets in the Garage.

I forgot to mention, @DaBomm4, that's the only other rule that we've all agreed to follow. No ABS will be allowed. danbojte is obviously a sadist and he likes to see me smash into walls!! :P :sly: But seriously, I don't know if you drive without ABS already. I don't... It's tricky getting used to it. Others may disagree, but if you're as inexperienced with running ABS=0 as I was when we started the racing club, I would recommend to always err on the side of running a little bit lower break bias in the front and just remember to brake a little earlier than you're used to. There's nothing worse than having to get on the brakes fairly hard and having your car respond like it's on Lake Michigan in the middle of January!  :banghead:

Silverstone is one of the most famous racing circuits in the world, and the BTCC utilises the short National Circuit layout to maximise the action for the Northamptonshire fans, all of whom can enjoy grandstand seating at some of the world’s most famous corners included in their entry ticket price.

Long straights and tight corners make for several overtaking opportunities on every lap, so action is guaranteed throughout the race. Silverstone played host to one of the most memorable touring car battles of recent years in 2013, as Jason Plato and Andrew Jordan went bumper to bumper for the lead in an incredibly close and hard-fought battle.

That's great buddy 👍, you come in and join an it's the first race that I'm going to miss :grumpy:, I hope we'll get together for another one at some time later, have fun and small advice: you can set the BB to your liking, @Ridox2JZGTE has them set a bit aggressive, you may want to tone those brakes down a notch or two.

Thanks for all the support guys, and I have done some abs driving before so I have a small understanding of brake balance adjustment for ABS 0 use, @Ridox2JZGTE has helped me a lot with my curiosity on the subject. Also, I did a crazy thing a few months ago, I took a stock RUF BTR on GT5 to some tracks with ABS 0 and I feel I gained some useful knowledge there. From there I released an ABS 0 tune for the RUF BTR in GT6. :)

Also, I'm in Minnesota right now, so my time zone is still the same, and the schedule says 7am like @danbojte deducted earlier. :)

This will be a good pace from the current FITT M Challenge, looking forward to it, I guess its time to dust off these cars a little. :D

Could you elaborate the strategy, please. :P :sly:
Well..
Plan a) keep right leg ankle straight most of race and be sure at nose cuts finish line first.
Plan b) variable.. :)

Only checked what limits (lap range where car is going on good race pace) I have to play on fuel and tires, actual race plan depends how first stint goes, even lenght of first stint is open till race shows where to pit in. But knowing what kind of choices I can use is most important.
