got in to the 1'45's as well, thats it, but was abel to sneak in to 1'44's which was werry surprising and a stunt man lap,

ARGH!:ouch: You guys are KILLING me! LOL!

I realized when running laps and tuning the car that I could potentially be a little bit faster if I went more extreme in a certain area. But I found controlling the car was just too difficult. If you put in a 'perfect' lap great. But if you made a small mistake you lost a lot of time. So I dialed it back a bit and just worked on my lines and consistency and tried to improve both. And eventually I was able to whittle my time down.

I won't be fighting for this record. You can have it. And well deserved. 👍

Finished som 348 online racing with mhm66, again Montreal, did a 1'45'0 somthing, but was not abel to pick up the slip stream on the long gegengerade, Henrick was 1.3s infront, got only a slip stream on the start finish straight...

..i was like :drool::drool::drool: where is the slipstream???? 1.3 cant be that far away!!??
1'43's ???

You are probably right jjaisli, need to be more constant and riskind everything for 0,5 in 50% of cases will lead in to the wall of champions or the penalty zone of champions on the left side as i did in the practice race with Henrick.

I was in to every wall and every grass ther was in montreal,
cant wait for the damade to take effect on the cars performance..

Let's hope our races tomorrow will be less realistic :scared:

But I've learn my lesson wont be picking at you anymore:embarrassed:

Gentlemen Drivers I say hello to you!

Been driving SCC since two weeks and I m really loving it! I don't know if it's too late but it be nice if I could participate in this challenge and better if can do the races tomorrow cause I spend some time at redwood this week. My PB is 1:47.08 (just don't know how I did it!) and I can run constant laps in 1:48.xx. Hope it's not too slow for you guys!

ok so know going too partice more and waiting for a positive answer! :D

See you on track!:sly:

If there's space in the lobby, and I suspect there will be, you're more than welcome to join in kemp333! Outright speed is not so important as clean racing. Seeing the GTP tag in front of your PSN leaves no doubt that you'll do fine. Hope to see you tomorrow. Don't forget to send me a PSN message a few minutes before.

Hi there Kemp, nice to be racig you again man, this time in SCC:tup:

Nice racing tonight by the way, don't be intimidated by Henrick's(mhm66) lap times he is Petter Solberg brother...

;)

Hit a 1.47.333 last night, but generally lapping much slower.

For some reason the game kept freezing on me - I could not access the leaderboards at all - anyone else have this problem?

Into the low 1:47s! Now we're talking. So Grandma' got some Game left in her after all! ;)

I did a few practice laps yesterday in the wet. Until then, I had only run a handful of wet laps so I needed the experience. I was about to shut down but decided to switched back to do a few more dry laps and suddenly found myself struggling to put in laps in the low 1:48s. And the more I pushed, the more I seemed to go off, with no improvement in time. I hadn't made any setup changes and felt totally lost, unsure of why I was suddenly so much slower and unable to improve. :scared:

I think there's some strange issues with this track, between wet and dry conditions. At some corners, your braking points remain virtually unchanged. And on others, you really have to approach it different. But eventually I was able to find my 'zone' and get back into the 1:46s. At one point, I was really on a charge, you know, one of those laps where it's just flowing and you seem to be hitting every apex just perfectly. And coming down the back straight, I was WAY into 'green' numbers--nearly 3/4 of a second and my heart was just pounding. And going into the last chicane, I turned in just a little bit too early and went red. :banghead: It wasn't enough to give me a penalty but it was enough to discount my lap. :indiff: I crossed the finish line and the game now shows my PB as a 1:45.70, although my leaderboard time remains unchanged. I'm guessing I gained a bit from my early turn in but I think I still would have been in the 1:45s had it been a clean lap. So I know it's possible. Potentially. :sly:

Hitting just one corner dead on is tough. Doing it on all of them...yeah. :) As for new_soul's 1:44... I still just can't believe it.

My game suffers from severe framerate issues, resulting in a slowdown effect at turn 8 ,the right hander of the second S section of this track-Pont de la Concorde-beside that I suffered two freezing/reboot situation racing Manny,Manunza and some other guys the night before...:indiff:

My best lap-1,47,04-was done in time trial,in racing my best was 1,48,08 and most laps I run in 1,49,xx.Henrick was putting consistently low 1,46,xx or high 1,45,xx in some races we did last night:scared:
My best performance of the night was 1,51,xx in the wet less than one second away from mhm66 1,50,xx but for achieving it I compromised most of the other laps with penaltys in Quebec Wall chicane:guilty:

BTW Petter sorry for not joining you but it was already 4.00 am round here when you sent me the race invite...I was hitting the sack :sly:

KEPT freezing on you? Do you mean literally freezing or screen stuttering.

Unfortunately, especially during on-line races, there are certainly places at certain tracks where you did experience a momentary stutter. It's distracting, annoying and potentially dangerous. But it's usually at the same spot, as Arvore mentioned. However, I've also had races (a handful that I can recall) where I experienced strange, random, 'mini-freezes' where the screen would just lock up but only for .5 of a second. I remember in particular it was one of the races at Riviera. I even recorded it and it was obvious.

But it's only happened twice ever that the game, and the PS3, literally locked up on me during a race. Unfortunately, once it happened during one of my events, on the last lap. Needless to say, everybody else was booted from the lobby. The next time I booted up, it was fine. It seemed completely random.

I don't know if the PSN is partially to blame but hopefully, either way, the race today will be incident free.

Here's my final (pre-race) contribution to this event:

1. Some 'practice' video I shot while experimenting with different modes on the camera while I was practicing. This was during a 5 lap QuickRace, both dry and wet, one lap of each. The dry lap was a mid 1:46.xx lap. I prefer racing in TimeTrial for practice because it's clear where you're gaining or losing time. But watching the replays from Quick Race is helpful in reviewing your lines from out of the car and sometimes it's obvious where you're gaining or losing time through a corner.

I'm sorry to say but I'm still unable to join. :(

Sorry to hear that drivatar. :( That's two regulars we're missing now.

hi guys
I had those freezes when entering the leaderboard, and had to reboot ones. But luckly it's a while a go.
Did some pratice just now,and tryed to change the setup.Found some time and did a 1.45.42.On the next lap I was at one point up by 1 sec.but compleatly made a mess at the last chicane and "only" got a 1.44.97.
So i'm just 2/100 after new_soul.:ouch:

That's how serious Jeff is about this track - driving up to Montreal, walking the track, photographing the curbs, surveying the camber ...

As far as the freezing is concerned: nothing abnormal during gameplay, but the game would not quit the event - you know, the tires just kept spinning & spinning & I had to use the XMB to quit the game. Also I could not access the leaderboards - the game would freeze in the initial leaderboard screen. I've never encountered this before, so I'm wondering if anybody else experienced this yesterday?

1.44.97:tup:👍👍

are you still 0.3 faster than me out of the hairpin on the backstraight.. ..with your new set up changes?;)

 👍

I think the lap times between Henrik and new_soul are causing the leaderboards to go into terminal meltdown. :scared: The way it's looking, this event will really be between these two. :sly:

Talking about sportsmanship and fairplay in motorsports...:scared::crazy:

It was an exciting race but I can't understand how both Alonso and Hamilton didn't both receive a drive through penalty for these moves. At least when exciting the pit lane, the rule is absolute and clear cut--if you cross the solid line, you get a penalty. Perhaps it doesn't apply to pit in or perhaps the Stewards saw it differently.

Got some last minute setup changes for more pep in my step going on to the backstraight, and less doom and gloom when turning in ;)

 Just what we all need. See you guys soon! Turning off my wi-fi network now.

My review of the SCC Montreal race...

Qualyflying
On Lap 1 i was in the last position at the start,
everybody started slowly in to formation lap and i decidet to wait for a little while,
was counting cars on the map and was waching out of the window.:dunce:.

I was to late to know that Hailwod was in the last corner alredy, i misscauculated, the gap panicked and started, instead of waiting for everybody to go by. was in to turn1 behind Hailwod and the gap to the car back was ok, started lap2 went red in the last turn + penalty, and abandoned the lap..

Race
Started last,
turn 1 bumped bullies car a little bit, was of power to eliminate the advantage gained,
then started to pass cars got many penalties and of track moments, while battering for position,
I gained 2-3 positions and fell back 2-3 becaus of penalty's then later in the race accelerating out of the hairpin lost power and stearing, did not know was ist das,???
My car was in the grass and standing, my controler turned off and i was presing the PS button but nothing happened,
as many cars went buy and i didnt understand why that thing is not working, :ouch::grumpy: i touth i get soon a DQ when im not abel to start the car, i wuled out the usb and nothing happened, put it bach and it started to blink but didnt conect:ouch: unpluged the usb ans the controler synced and i was moving again

came back on track almoust crashed in to arvore, then it started all again, overtaking and penalties and of track moments and:scared::scared::scared::scared: moments.. my race was awfully bad sorry if ayon anything. My race ended with a disconect close to the end of the race, a lap before LXX disconected in the braking area as wee were side by side to the last turn.

Sprint
Started well in front, got a surprise right at the start:dunce: my controler configuration did change and i forgot to reset it..:ouch: that ment i was mising the shifts and had som problems downshifting with the Right analog stick and braking with the L2 despit that i was abel to fight for position anddefend of Jeff and Hailwood in the 1st part of the race, mid race Hailwood had pased me and Henrick was 7 sec back, i tryed to move past Hailwood in the S turn under the bridge and:scared::scared: must have made his car spin som how:dunce:
sorry..
Then he recovered and MHM66 was right behind him and fast past, got of the power on the back straight to go 3rd for that spin under the bridge, i heard they had a good race:tup:👍
Had som further problems adapting to the new controler configuration, penalties missshifts and missed braking points, and Jeff was abel to pass me, and build a 10 sec gap:ouch:

that was a unbelievabley dissapointing performance from me and som unfortunate tec problems...

:ouch::ouch:

when is the next race this i have forgoren:grumpy:

werry interesting from my point of viewe,,, if i had a video camera:drool:

Event No 2 : April 25th, 2010 - 20:00 GMT - Montreal Circuit Gilles Villeneuve (Redwood Park) - RACE RECAP

I want to thank everybody who participated in the second round of the Ferrari 348 Challenge Series from Montreal. We had a few new people join us today and a few of the regulars drop out for various reasons. I want to express my appreciation for the (generally) nice clean racing and good sportsmanship. As usual, I had a lot of fun putting this event together and having only one track per weekend is a lot less hectic and dramatic from an organization stand point.

QUALIFYING: 2 laps - conditions 50% dry/wet chosen at random

I flipped a coin and dry qualifying it was. Unlike last time, I was able to set a nice clean lap in qualifying that put me up near the front of the pack. I would like to ask that next time, we should really try and pick up the pace a bit during the first lap of qualifying. The 2-3 cars at the end of the pack suffer if people are driving around in a relaxed manner. The idea is to build up a gap but this should not really be a parade lap.:

1) - Mhailwood - Steve Soper - 1:46.44
2) - mhm66 - Enzo - 1:46.46
3) - jjaisli - Forza G25 - 1:46.62
4) - L449KUX - TheRacingElite - 1:49.27
5) - SimcoeAce - Mad Dogs - 1:49.76
6) - MannyMoenJack1 - Jackrabit Racing - 1:49.82
7) - kemp1010 - MX - 1:49.96
8) - frawe - Frawe - 1:51.14
9) - arvore - team tgv - 1:51.26
10) - GTP_Bullie - Lusitania Racing - 1:54.51
11) - FINGERSANDTHUMBS - Creative - 1:55.66
12) - new_soul - UKOG - 1:55.99

RACE 1 (Feature Race): - 20 Laps - Dry

Taking advantage of my 3rd place grid position, I made a reasonable start. MHailwood seemed to get off a bit slowly and moved to block mhm66 toward the inside. I had to brake hard and L449KUX was able to come up my left side going into turn 1. But I had the inside line for the next right hand corner and made it stick. For the next few corners, things were a little dicey as MHailwood and mhm66 fought tooth and nail. Both of them were able to pull away slightly and I was able to pull away from Kux behind me in turn, although he ran me uncomfortably close for most of the first lap. At the end of lap one, hm & Hailwood outbraked each other going into turn one but I wasn't quite close enough to take advantage of it, and there was no room for me to get around them once they got back on the road. Their battle continued and at the end of lap 2, they looked to be side by side going into the final chicane and Hailwood ended up the loser with a penalty. Collisions off after penalty is a great feature and I was able to go sailing through him and draft mhm down the main straight.

At the start of lap 3, I was right behind mhm, Hailwood was several seconds back and new_soul was likely fighting through the field. I remember thinking to myself, "This is going better than I thought!" From that point on, my ultimate pace was quite good, but unfortunately, my race was marred with many mistakes, ranging from small to...not so small and I picked up at least 2 penalties along the way. Hailwood got by two laps later (lap 5) when I hit the curb at turn 3 and tried to power through it, nearly losing control. For the next 15 laps, I was never seriously challenged for position, although, if somebody had been running me closely, they likely would have taken advantage of any one of my numerous errors. For the rest of the race, the 4th place car was anywhere from 3-15 seconds behind me and the leaders were simply out of reach and maintaining a pace I couldn't quite match, let alone cut into. Still, finishing in 3rd place is a result I was quite pleased with.

This was helped, no doubt, by new_soul's unfortunate departure. We'll just call it a mechanical DNF. L449KUX and kemp1010 also suffered a disconnect from the lobby. A lousy way to finish the race. But we'll consider them all mechanical failures and leave it at that. In the end, mhm managed to stay ahead of MHailwood and take fastest lap in the process. Well done Henrik. With new_soul's unfortunate problems, this will garner you a nice lead.

Feature Race Results:

1) - mhm66 - Enzo - 1:45.42 - 26
2) - Mhailwood - Steve Soper - 1:46.03 - 20

* I most likely won't publish the rest of the video unless I'm asked as there were no further position changes relative to my car and for the most part I ran alone.

RACE 2 (Sprint Race): 15 Laps - Wet

The start of the 15 lap, wet sprint race, began remarkably similar to the video I posted earlier in this thread. Although we later found out, and I apologize profusely for this, that FINGERSANDTHUMBS was out having a smoke when the race started an his car was left 'unmanned' at the grid. I had done a quick scan up and down lobby and was sure that I saw all green lights. I'm very sorry about that and it looks like the result was carnage for at least 3 drivers.

None-the-less, I was able to stay out of trouble. I had a small bump with Hailwood going into turn one but he seemed no worse for ware and returned the favor going into the following right hander. Somehow I managed to get around several people in this first sequence with only minimal contact. Going up the straight approaching the underpass, I had a nice battle with Bullie. I had to push a bit wide in order to take my line going into the corner but I think I left him enough room. Just under the bridge, I suddenly saw (too late) a car trying to squeeze up my right side, just as I shut the door and committed to the corner (mhm66?). Coming into the hairpin, I dared a quick look at the stats and saw I was up to 5th place. 👍 A few seconds later, Arvore's departure from the lobby quickly moved me up to 4th. :guilty:👎

Going into the hairpin on Lap 3, new_soul and Kemp both overshot slightly. I was able to get in front of Kemp and draft new_soul down the straight and pass him before the chicane. At the start of Lap 4, I was fighting for second place. And going into the 1st corner, I saw Hailwood in 1st, had over shot the braking zone. Unfortunately, the way he came back onto the track and the fact that new_soul had the inside line, meant I had to try and take Hailwood on the outside, which simply wasn't going to happen. New_soul slipped through and I was on Hailwood's tail in 3rd. At the end of the lap, I got a penalty going through the last chicance, which effectively ended my battle with Hailwood.

For the next few laps, mhm was on a charge and slowly quickly reeling me in. On lap 6, he was able to draft me down the back straight and pulled off an impressive late braking move before the chicane. I had to push him a little otherwise I would have gotten a penalty. But we both got through the chicane without incident.

On lap 9, new_soul picked up a penalty and I was able to draft him going into the hairpin. He in turn drafted me down the back straight and was able to pass me coming back onto the front straight. There was some contact here and I got nudged into the wall when he went by but I was slow coming out of the chicane after trying to brake late and prevent him from passing so I had a bad line going in. We had some nice back and forth and on lap 11 and I was able to pass him when he made a mistake at the hairpin. I knew at this point that something was wrong because not only was I managing to stay in front of new_soul but I was slowly pulling away form him as well. And the laps I was running while doing it were not among my fastest (This was obviously his controller problems) which we'll put down as as being a 'sick car'. From that point, I cruised home in 3rd, slowing down to a crawl through the final chicane so as not to take ANY chances. Two races, two podiums. I won't complain about that. Although luck, clearly had a factor in it. And my driving to get there was quick at times, but not all together consistent and either way, far from 'pretty'.

Sprint Race Results:

1) - Mhailwood - Steve Soper - 1:49.52 - 13
2) - mhm66 - Enzo - 1:49.69 - 10

Well done mhm, continuing an impressive showing with 1 win, 1 second and 1 fastest lap! Congratulations also to MHailwood, showing his alien like speed, coming into the 2nd round with virtually no practice in this car, purchasing it in the lobby a few minutes before the race and running a few laps to slap a setup together. You're making us all look very, VERY bad! Manny, showing good speed once again and leading the best of the rest, off of the podium Unfortunate and bad luck to new_soul, kemp, L449KUX and Arvore, all of whom were booted from the lobby in either the first or 2nd round. Also, just a quick 👍 to Kemp who in his first event with us put in a very respectable showing, having owned this game <2 weeks. Bravo!

Hi all
Great races last night. Thanks to Jeff again for an outstanding event.
Sadly there was nothing on my video when I checked,so I wont be posting
film 👎
For the first time I had a good qual witch gave me 2th place, just 2/100 after
mhailwood.👍
I must say that the first 4-5 laps of this race was absolutly great. At the start we were side by side trough turn 1 and 2,but he had the inside so off he went.I was close behind when we got to the hairpin, and i got a good speed on to the back straight.I was slightly in front but had to back off for the chicane.Got a draft down the start/finish and we were side by side for turn 1.We both overshoot the breaking and got a little off track. We both quickly got back, just in front of jeff.I past mhailwood on the inside at turn 2.He was right behind me when we got to the hairpin, and I took the outside as I know after many pratice sessions with new_soul that pad users take a were different trough there.Surly enough he past me on the inside, but I had more speed at the straight and took the position back.He got a draft and again we were side by side for the chicane. He had the inside and breaked a little to late and got a penalty. Then I was in front and jeff got by him also.I managed to stay in front of jeff but he was close the hole lap.At the last chicane I was looking back at him and saw that he desided to put some paint on the wall of champions. That costed him some time and after lap 4 I had about 2 sec lead.I was surprised to see mhailwood in 2th place so early on lap 5,but after watching jeff's video that cleared that up.The rest of the race I was slightly building a gap to mhailwood, but when it got to about 7 sec I must have been to relaxed, because he started to chip away my lead.He was just 2-3 sec behind at lap 18 (I think)when he got a penalty in the last chicane, and I knew I was home free.👍
Great race.

The sprint race started wery caotic with cars going left and right on the grid just after the race started.Got trough turn 1 and 2 ok with no major hits or bumps. But then I was catching jeff and bullie who were side by side at the back straight.I breaked early but I got a car drafting me,and when I noticed him,I just took my foot of the break so he would'nt hit me.That gave me just to much speed to go safly trough the chicane, and i spun and was hit.I got back in 11th place with 8 sec to 10th place. From there on I started to close the gap at the rest of the pack.On lap 5-6 I was in 4th but I had 8 sec to jeff.Luckly for me the first 3 stayed together and ther fight gave me the chance to catch them.I past jeff, and then new_soul and mhailwood spun.I past mhailwood when he tryed to recover, and on the straight new_soul slowed down to wait for mhailwood and I was in the lead.Mhailwood cought me again 2 laps later and I was not able to match his speed. At the 13th lap I started to close the gap again, but I was driving on the edge and both lap 14 and 15 was red,and over the finish line I was only about 0,6 sec behind.
Great race and mhailwood was strong as usual.congratulations.
I'm sorry that new_soul had such a tough night, with disconnections and configuration problems as he would have finished much better than he did.We had some great races praticing for this event.
But as it turns out,due to other commitments I wont be able to race the next event.
Again thanks to all for some great races.I think that 12 people is a nice turn-up considdering that some regulers were missing.👍👍👍

The review of my races at yesterday's round at Montreal can be resumed in one word: horrible!

On the endurance race I couldn't eve find my pace, accumulated a number of stupid mistakes, lap after lap. Only for a short period in the middle of the race I managed to do some 3/4 laps at my (low) level, where I even did cut the gap to Frawe down from 16s to 9s, but then I blew it! On the last quarter of the race I did loose even more time while being lapped by both mh66 and new_soul (about 10s) and only held my position because FingersandThumbs was way behind me. I ended the race at an astonishing 42s behind Frank!

On the sprint race the film was more or less the same, although on the first half I managed to keep a better and consistent pace with Frank (he was behind me due to some problems in getting his own pace I imagine). Once he passed me he started gaining time lap after lap. I had an interesting race finale with FingersandThumbs putting pressure on me and while entering lap 15 he was just 2s behind. At middle of the lap the distance increased to 5s (I imagine he went off track somewhere), otherwise he would be able shortening that and discuss the position right to the finish line I'm sure.

I finish my report saying that I won't make it to next round, since I'm going to be away that weekend. As I've said right from the beginning of the series, looking to the calendar I would be able to make either for the last round at Mugello (I'll be on holidays), so the (ever-hated) VIR round would be my last participation on the present Challenge Series. I'm already looking forward to the next one (F355 Challenge?).

Thanks for your review guys. 👍

It was nice to hear the play-by-play of the MHailwood battle from your perspective Henrik, although it's too bad your camera wasn't working. I had a front row seat for some of it, but my own incompetence didn't allow me to watch it for long. :ouch: And thanks for clarifying the 2nd chicane incident of the Sprint Race. Watching the video a second time, it didn't look like you would have made the chicane at that speed anyway.

I'm sorry to hear you had such a lousy race Sergio. That's the way it goes I guess, some good (👍) and some bad (👎). :) And I'm also sorry to hear neither of you will make it for the next round in two weeks. Since we already had a race this year on Valentine's Day, having another race on Mother's Day would have landed me in hot water with the misses. :) But I guess the day doesn't make a difference. And it will be new_soul's chance at redemption.

I look forward to hearing more about the battles going on through the rest of the field.

EDIT: I guess as you've noticed, I finally bought myself a new video camera. For the price I paid, I'm very impressed and the quality is a big improvement. I just edited my results post with two more videos. If anybody is interested I can post the rest but there wasn't much else to see other than me 'hot lapping'. Or, at least trying to. :)

EDIT2: As last race, I'm now posting the settings I used for this car and track combo:
Dampeners: hard/hard
Springs: hard/soft
anti-sway bars: hard/hard
ride height: -10/+30
camber: -3.50/-3.00
toe: -.01/+.01

I had experimented with a few degrees of positive toe at the front and I thought (potentially) it was faster and it might allow me to squeak into the 1:45s. But it was a 'risky' setup that I didn't feel very comfortable with so I ended up with this--a bit of a compromise that allowed me to be much more consistent. My fastest leaderboard time (1:46.38) as well as my Personal Best (which is a red lap :ouch:--a 1:45.70) were both set with this setup. Considering my rather inconsistent performance, it's probably a good thing I chose the safe route. I also felt a bit uncomfortable with the extremely low front ride height of -10. (This was probably responsible for my mishap around lap 3-4 5 in video 1 through the first Chicane) but there is a large increase in aerodynamic benefit of having the lower ride height, to the tune of 3-5 kmh down the straight. And with the long straights at Montreal, increased front height would have made me vulnerable.

Some good racing yesterday.

The first race my battles were primarily with L499KUX and new_soul with Simcoeace always just a couple seconds behind. I did have one embarrassing mistake going into the final chicane before the start/finish line where I think I just touched KUX’s right-rear bumper in the braking zone because I forgot about the drafting effects, so I bailed out on the turn and took the penalty. Sorry about that KUX. No harm done though, except it took me over a lap to catch back up.

During the race I couldn’t figure out what was going on with new_soul. He would pass me and KUX then have a problem and we’d pass him, and this would happen every few laps. I thought he was toying with us! Of course I realize now he was having technical difficulties. Overall, the first race was OK with only three red laps, but I never really settled into a good rhythm in either race, and frequently had an odd game freeze-up on the third chicane that put me off track once or twice. I was happy to get 4th considering the quality of the competition.

The Sprint race was dominated in the early part of the race by my battles with kemp. Everytime I would get past him however, I’d follow it up with a stupid mistake and he’d go right past me and I had to do it all over again. Eventually though I made it stick and hung on to take 5th place. Overall good results for the event, but I never really felt like I fully understood this difficult track. Thanks again Jeff for a fun and exciting event.

My setup was close to yours Jeff with just a bit more toe.
Dampers: Hard / Soft
Front: -3.99 / +0.04
Rear: -2.80 / +0.04
Springs: Soft / Soft
Roll Bars: Hard / Hard
Ride Height: - 0.027 / +0.030

hi guys,
thought i would sign up today after an amazing race last night. its good to have raced with such a clean bunch of guys, thanks also to jjaisli for inviting me along.

my take of the night,
qualifiying, i started off towards the back of the grid and having not done a qualifying session before i soon got the gist and set off nice and slowly. approaching the last chicane i put my foot down and began my flying lap. all went well and qualified in 4th to my amazement :)

race 1
got off to a good start and after turn 1 i managed to pull away and keep pace with the front runners for a while, after a few laps i started to drop back and found myself in a battle with manny, swapping positions for 2 - 3 laps mannys experience was simply to much for me as i found myself carrying to much speed into the chicane under the bridge and hit the wall which dropped me back a second or two behind him. soon enough new soul was on my tail and gaining fast, eventually passing me, then i gave good chase matching new soul turn for turn for a fair few laps. coming up the back straight into the last chicane we were side by side with me on the outside line entering the corner i was disconected and sadly that ended my race. mechanical failiure seems a good term to describe being disconected as i was literally driving out of my skin lol

race 2
with the reverse grids taking effect i started towards the back of the grid, i got a good start down into turn 1 where i ran slightly wide and got nudged onto the grass by a back marker, i composed myself and rejoined the circut. the rest is kind of a blur in my memory as i battled up through the field picking off the other racers one by one untill the chequered flag dropped and i found myself finishing in 6th position. at this point i was extatic!! great race from my point of view.

really looking forward to the next race with you guys and thanks again :)
