After checking the infinite wisdom of my Walkman, I can confirm the following:

Green Monster is by "THE BAD" and was in the Gran Turismo 4 Original Game Soundtrack
More than loving is by Ted Namba and was in the Gran Tuirsmo Soundtrack along with Freedom to win and Like the wind. Moon over the Castle is fairly obvious.

Hmmm...interesting that Green Monster would be used later on.

Oh hello. Xenn, you're awesome, just gotta say that right away. Glad to see this thread still alive.

As for a question a while back about opening tracks in some sort of modelling program... Ummm... I'm like, way busy with other things, but now I'm super tempted to have a reallllllll close look at them now.

I've just watched the video, and I have to say it's great. How early is the demo you used? It has the menu sounds and physics from GT1 so I'm thinking that some of these things maybe in GT1.....

Thanks man. I started looking into this stuff thanks to this topic you made. It would be awesome if you can open the tracks in a modelling program :)

Unfortunately, I don't think there's any way of telling how early this demo was. The date the files were made have a non sensical date on them (Like, 2023).

It looks more like what I'd have to do is 'reconstruct' the tracks. It'd be a huge project.

IIRC, Gran Turismo 1 was released in the Summer of 98, right? So maybe the early stuff could be like late in 98 (December-ish)?

It's possible it could be during that time. Or maybe a few months after that.

Definitely another amazing find by Xenn.
I don't know about you, but it looks to me that in the video, Midfield looks a lot more vibrant and essentially happy; is this just me? :P

[I've been following this post for a week or so now, glad I finally joined.] xP

I agree, it definitely looks more better. They should have kept it like that, the final Midfield looks rather dull in comparison, in my opinion.

hello :D new-be here, correct me if im wrong but isnt the pic hackr posted on page 2 with the nsx standing on that 1 "plam strip lane", isnt it accually the 2 lanes in front of the nsx?💡:confused:that seems to make more sence doesnt it?

As far as i'm aware, it's just random parts of Laguna Seca.

All tracks do this when you break out of them, you'll see random parts of the track fly past.

The section in question.

All that was added was a road at the other side of it, hence why I said it's random parts.

the space needle is white unlike in the final, which is greyish and more detailed

and what track does this mini looks like its in , to me it looks like its in a mix of grindelwald & rome?

Yep, that's a really early Seattle in the first picture.

The second picture is Rome, but I believe it looks different here.

While looking through the game, I came across this:

game
PLATINUM PRIZE!

Really? And gold prize wasn't hard enough?

I also came across this:

The trophy at the end seems to possibly be said platinum trophy.

I believe there is no sign of the end trophy anywhere in the game.

Just when you thought it couldn't get any harder.
