Guys!:D
I've got extra-breaking-awesome news!!!!:sly:

:cheers:I have finally found a way to rip any 3D models from Gran Turismo 1/Gran Turismo 2!!!!!!!

it was only question of time...

but not everyting is awesome-PS1 does NOT have Z buffer for 3d models (like PS2) so can anyone help me to find a resolution?:)

as a prrof, here's the video of Gran Turismo 2 with wireframe:tup:

i can actually capture scenes and take out ready textures, everything we need now is to fix Z buffer,so please, some help:sly:👍

here are examples of texture from ripped scene

Great Job extracting the textures! 👍

Well, I'm exploring some of the tracks in GT2 again. Trying to see if there's any hidden data in any of the tracks.

emmmmh...nothing changes with Z buffer...what was the point of doing this?

Oh, I misread, my bad.

As for the lack of Z-Buffer, i'm not sure what you can do. Might have to find something that'll work with no Z-buffer, but I assume nothing exists right now.

This is what i'm talking about.
The captured scene is flat on the Z side,it has only X and Y.:odd:
I don't know what to do.Resize doesn't helps.:grumpy:
Oh,and if you'll look at the side, you can recognize toyota supra from the video:)

Fun fact-Gran Turismo official site is still sure, that GT2 has Drag Racing mode.
Even on the russian page.
by the way, this pages were edited not so long ago...:odd:

And please, tell me,is this corvette c3,which i remastered is real?
Can you find me some pics or translate the sponsor?
I thought of making a HI-RES version and gift it to Kazunori:)

I would love to take a look at SSR11 down the line. This is a wild discovery you/we got here, and I wonder if it's only the beginning..

Well, can anyone tell me how to use cheats to drive ssr11 in gt2?:)
i can create a video and take another try to rip the 3d scene:tup:

Im not aware of GT2 having any traces of SSR11 at all. If i have it right, you can literally extract/view tracks without playing the game itself?

That would be awesome, but even now it's impossible.:(
When extracting tracks without playing the game would be real-i will post it here;)

Unfortunately, SSR11 isn't hidden in the final GT2; people would've noticed by now if it was since it's been extracted with tracks included.

I'm not ever sure it's even in the early demos of GT2 since it was scrapped in such an early stage.

This improvement is awesome. I mean, if such a way to export models actually exists, I think we are not that far from, for example, making a new "open GT2" running on pc. I mean, why not to convert Gt2 models from the game (also from the tracks), re-create a physics system and try to re-program it to run on pc? It would be quite a serious job, but I think it could be worth. That could easily run on every computer, support some simple online play, and also adding cars, liveries, engine swaps, custom LM models, and tracks with a comparable number of polygons into the game.
If someone would try to make such a project I'd follow, and I mean I'd actually contribute with the porting of the cars and thinking about the physical model.

This is a fantastic idea, one that I would definitely support and contribute to in some way or another

Hello there... I hate promising something or say about something without 100% proof, but I'm on it... I just do basic elements of it... Actually i pretty sure that a lot of people do what i trying to do, but why not try? Anyway if someone is really interested like me in this type of project then i can speed up about this... Actually i work about graphic than models and main code now. I really hope i CAN bring first playpable Alpha to live ASAP... Damn why all Big things are so hard to learn and use...
Crap... My English ****
