What the heck?! Someone else apparently has been using the cheat codes for the GT2 2nd demo aswell:
http://www.theautochannel.com/mania/video-games/Gran_Turismo_2.html

He has screenshots everywhere!

and there's a screenshot of the Altezza on SSR11.

Doesn't seem like it. Apparently some of the things we know about were discovered long ago....

What really has me stunned is that SSR11 shot. Are you sure it is GT2 and not GT1?

Well yeah, the Toyota Altezza wasn't in GT1. So, it can't be a GT1 screenshot.

Oh, I wouldn't know because I have hardly played GT1 nor do I tend to pay much attention to the Altezza.

I would like to know what demo he used when he made that screenshot. It puzzles me.

That's a mystery that I'm still trying to solve. I bet it's the same early beta that the 240Z and R34 Skyline on SSR11 I posted on here a while back were on. I'm still trying to find old websites that have early pics of GT2.

This photo is also from the site, its probably Rome in sunset. This course was showed earlier in pizza hut demo right?

That would be awesome, but even now it's impossible.:(
When extracting tracks without playing the game would be real-i will post it here;)
A simple texture extraction would be nice. ;)

My primary reason for mentioning this is I would like to map out all that abandoned modeling (or hidden drag strip as some people call it) on Laguna Seca and see what it really is. We can see some of it in the game itself, but as we all know, it is extremely glitchy!

That rally screenshot looks quite odd...

A lister storm can't race on rally tracks I believe. So I get the impression these were recently made.

Also an update on current researching.

If we can find the E3 demo eventually, that'll be the disc worth searching through. So for now, I think there's nothing else to uncover regarding hidden content.

Strange, I have been watching this thread and have been failing to get any new updates. Odd.

Meanwhile, Ferrari GT is really getting into some interesting stuff there! Who knows what it'll lead to?

Yeah, those screenshots are just from a GT2 demo that someone figured out how to make cheats long before any of us did. There honestly isn't anything to discuss there.

Indianapolis Motor Speedway was in fact, supposed to be added in GT2, as evidenced in this video:

Note: skip to 3:54

Interesting. Its the same sort of thing as Super Speedway: Layout is identical to a real world oval (Indy), just has a different setting.

FYI Super Speedway is the same layout as Motegi's oval, just with different background.

I don't know if this is well-known or not... but has anyone noticed that the background of the Elise Trophy (one of the Lotus one-make race) shows the soft-top Elise?

I noticed a few interesting things when I watched carefully the PAL Intro of the game!

1-Wolkswagen Polo: a well-know removed car is listed here

2-Plam Strip: Removed track, supposedly a drag strip for the 3 drag cars in the game (R33, 180SX & Intrepid RM)

Another Plam Strip evidence:

And another...

3-Eiger Path: Another removed track or Grindewald named differently

4-Blue Viper GTS: The Viper originally had the colour scheme from GT1

5-Black Ford Focus Rally Car: This colour scheme was removed in the final version... Only the White/Blue one remain

6-Mercedes-Benz CLK Race Car: here is the famous deleted CLK RC

Another CLK evidence in this intro!

7-Also, I don't remember a red Lancer Evolution in GT2

And... Sorry for double post!

You really should go back through the early pages of this thread, because the VW Polo thing in the intro was already mentioned, as well as "Eiger Path" & "Plam Strip". The same for the Viper. I'm sorry, but you're just bringing up things that we already discovered.

The Focus Rally Car isn't really black, that clip is just gameplay footage of it edited. I mean, look at the background colors, it's clearly been desaturated or something. It's just the same old Blue Focus Rally Car.

As for the Red Evo, that's a Lancer Evolution 5 GSR and it is in GT2 and in the GT games after GT2.
