I am refering to the blue Viper from the demo. I personally doubt GT1 tracks and cars can be ported to GT2 as well, but it's worth a try.
Err, he was referring to the GT2 demo. Which is very similar to the final GT2 in car textures and such. That's just the palette scheme though. Also, GT1 and GT2 has differences in storing car textures (tires, etc).
Posted by Mattj155, more early GT2 beta footage.
That happened to me too, wish I knew why in case I was doing it wrong.Track porting didn't really work. Tried porting Monte Carlo by replacing L_20. Game didn't even boot. Going to retry porting it by replacing Grindelwald.
It didn't work either. Moving on to cars.
Polyphony Digital was going to have SSR11 available in GT2, but the track ended up scrapped. There's no official answer why, but I figure that they were going to retouch the track for GT2, but didn't have enough time to do so.Offtopic but why that blue-purple ish R34 around the SSR11 reminds me of the GT2000 intro?
Don't forget, the car or track you are porting must be smaller than what you are replacing.
Indi's files are smaller than Grindelwald'sThat happened to me too, wish I knew why in case I was doing it wrong.

Aw, bummerBackground swapping and track porting are not possible. Moving on to cars.
Anyone got the file names for these cars?
It's neither of those; it's actually "ga4tn".It's not possible at least for GT2 Demos and GT2. I'm unsure about track porting between GT1 and GT2.
I want someone to confirm: Is gas4n and/or gas4r the Audi S4 estate?
Maybe, however I have tried porting tracks from the final game itself to another track in the final game and it still did it. Like I said, I feel like we are doing something wrong here and I think Xenn may know what it is. Lets see what he can find out.I classify track porting from GT2 demos to GT2 impossible without the game hanging on track loading screen.
I was looking around in Euro Demo 53's GT2 folder, and I saw a GT2.EXE file. I tried running it, but all it gave me was a command console for two second. Anyone know what's it's purpose?
Sounds more like a checksum being the culprit here.
If there is a checksum in place, any kind of modification will result in a crash. But it may not even be this though, so i'm not certain on this.
That's a PS-EXE. The PlayStation reads these .exe files to load the game, or certain aspects of a game.
I always hated how Autumn Ring Mini was sort of "excluded" from the other tracks.I do not know if this is explained in the thread, Autoumn Ring Mini. So here is a picture of the Course. It cannot be played under "Go Race". So it could be because it's glitchy.
