@Xenn I saw your codes on your gameshark thread, great find! I'll be giving those cars a try.

Okay, this is something I wanted to learn for a while; the cheat codes for replacing the Mustang in the final GT2's arcade mode. This screenshot from "The cutting room floor" proves that it's possible to replace the Mustang like in the demos to drive different cars. I thought it would be kinda cool to learn this.
What the?! Why?I heard that will only cause the game to crash after the starting grid screen, though.
That means possible new hidden cars?As it turns out. I thought the codes I posted on the cheat device topic was the whole car list for the early demo.
Turns out i'm wrong.
There's a few more entries that I noticed. I'm going to see what these are. These are not loaded into RAM during the demos arcade menu.
Isn't that a Plymouth 'Cuda? Also should note, the picture with the orange Muscle car (don't really know if it's a Challenger) is probably from an E3 demo, since there's no HUD at all, or even a name display.
Not really a find, but more of a small thing I spotted on the case itself.
They used Demo pictures for the back of the CD case.
The first one shows a Corolla rally car driving on Pikes Peak downhill, with the obvious GRAN TURISMO 2 name on the corner, and the lap counter shows that this picture was taken on time trial in one of the Demos.
Right bellow, there's a picture with a TT driving on a track. Lap counter shows 1/1.
Especially the one with the Elise, it's more than obvious that one of the Shadow bugged tracks (Red Rock Valley Speedway more likely) was used.
Apricot Hill wasn't in GT1, GT2 is actually the first game it shows up in.But then that wouldn't make much sense considering Apricot Hill was in GT1.
Must've accidentally mistaken it for Autumn Ring then. My mistake.Apricot Hill wasn't in GT1, GT2 is actually the first game it shows up in.
Though yeah, it doesn't make sense on the fact of the name. I'm pretty sure Palm/Plam Strip was meant to be a drag strip for the drag racing mode that was scraped.
Well we do know it wouldn't be named Indianapolis or anything like that since it wasn't an exact copy. So it makes sense that it could be named as such, probably have two courses like North American Raceway and Oval.North American Raceway sounds like a speedway to me.
Now I've made assumptions about it being Indi, but I gave it a second though and I though:
What if NAR is in fact a beta name for Red Rock Valley Speedway?
If it isn't, then I'm sure it was some sort of road course. Probably a road course of Indi? Maybe Indi was going to be named North American Speedway?
