Share your thoughts on Zahara!!

Most challenging track in the game. (Nordschleife included)

It has some evil parts and lots of high speed cambered corners where its very hard to go on the limit.
The scenery looks beautiful in general, and the lag issues are very small and not annoying.

Why is everyone calling it 'Zahara' when it's clearly called Sierra?
Meh... You can call it Zahara too, its the village name. Similar to Cote d'Azur, the real name is Monaco.

Whilst some people absolutely hate the "arcade-y feel" of the Sierra Rally, I think it's a most needed breath of fresh air for Gran Turismo. It felt like a lot of fun, instead of just droning on in a car. Hell, and I was using a DS3!

Personally, I think Gran Turismo should add some more arcade-like elements in future updates to make the game more palatable to general audiences.

My thoughts: firstly, there is not track editor (can I say "I was right" ? :) ), but the track is quite fun. Although, arcadish feeling is there and so it won't be played a lot by me. Real world race tracks - that's where the fun is made

Very impressive location, a lot of different turns, I liked the arcade-like challenge as well. As cons, I think it squeezes too much
the poor ps3, and I didn't like the Google-maps-like textures, that are impressive seen from far, but seems too much "flat" when you get closer.

So, after almost a week of driving Sierra, I have a few more thoughts on in. Still really like it, just starting to notice a few more things.

Running the track forwards is MUCH easier than running it in reverse!!! Reverse has way more blind corners, more high speed corners, and just feels faster in general.

At any given PP, Forward seems much more suited to high power cars, while reverse seems to favour agile, nimble cars.

It's a real shame PD didn't include a reverse configuration :(

I like the track, it's really fun to drive on and the scenery is very good for pictures! The time rally challenges were good as well, there's some REALLY nice cars to be won!

I absolutely hate it! In my opinion, it's not challenging enough, the track is too wide it doesn't feel technical enough for me to enjoy it. It might be a long track but it's too easy to complete a lap on it, the only "challenge" was to go around the slow cars fast enough so that they wouldn't hit you and make you lose your bonus.

The landscape makes me think of games like NFS and Forza Horizon, and it looks like some kind of amateur events. I don't like street racing like those games.

I prefer official tracks, or at least something that would look a bit more like a pro track, certified for racing and stuff.

I would've prefered to get tracks like Imola, Sao Paulo, Yas Marina, Singapore, Sepang, Montreal, Watkins Glen, Road America, Mosport, Donington, Oschersleben, Zandvoort, Jerez, Zolder, etc...

So had a little while now to drive the track and I love it.
The bends are superb in lifting off the throttle and just burying it again without the need for brakes.
the jumps are a test of line up right or face the big 360spin when you land good fun.

I have seen a few people say the graphics/lake is not good for pictures, I have driven it loads now and hand on heart didn't even notice a lake as I was to busy driving fast and concentrating on the track. You could put a bunch of naked santa's in the background for me and I wouldn't notice. If it was on the track I would.

Love the work PD this track is awesome.

Well Zahara is definitely an excellent track. It's got everything a track should have: Long straights, harpins, twisty sections, and ohh don't forgot the beautiful views! I was just driving a Mercedes SLS GT3 today and I thought to myself, Why don't they have GT3 races here? It was so composed through the corners and did not disappoint on the straightaways.
Also, I know everyone drives on RS tires most of the time, but don't here! I drove my Mitsubishi VIII FQ400 tune on CS tires and kept thinking that I was using racing tires. Any car, any tire, any drivetrain. This track is beast in every way.
I've even taken into account that I might set up an GT3 endurance race here. :D

It's great fun but I think it was a little too ambitious for the poor PS3. It really seems to struggle with this track (pop-in) and the cars loading in (stuttering). I'm going to try running the track in TT mode without the cars or other arcade trappings to see if it runs any smoother.

Unchecking 1080p and 1080i in the PS3 XMB to downgrade to 720p as others have suggested helped a lot with frame tearing and other graphics issues with GT6. Overall image quality suffers but the performance improvement makes it worth it in my opinion.

Hmmm I might give that a shot, thanks HoneyBadger!

Strangely enough I 'm not having much trouble at all with the general performance of the new track. I'm pretty framerate-sensitive usually - Bathurst drives me nuts for instance - but Sierra is mostly quite smooth other than one or two instances of stuttering while loading cars per lap.

I find the track fairly enjoyable ftmp. I don't think it's even close to as difficult or technically challenging as the Ring. It's got maybe 2 or 3 corners that are tricky but other than those its quite fast and easy. It's a nice track for taking cars out for a cruise.

My first expérience with this track today. I am blown away  It's beautiful, gorgeous and lovely to drive. Great great photo mode location. Kudos to this track 👍

My thoughts are that it should be called Sierra, because any time I see "zahara" I immediately think "Force India" (totally beyond my control).

Other than that, great track, and an even better event (in the first 2, by the 4th it was ramped up to typical PD/GT frustration levels for no damned good reason, as usual).

I'd like to see some seasonal TT's from some of the sections once in awhile. Inb4 tonights seasonal update using Tsukuba, Matterhorn, Brands Hatch and Willow Springs again.
