My opinion on the subject: I know this is 2012 and all that, but as someone said before, some of us have played GT4 for over 4 years without any DLC. I don't get how someone could be "sick" with the fact there's no new DLC cars...

[/QUOTE]

In my opinion the main concern is that GT5 has only got about 150 Premiums cars (which represent the power of PS3 we all want to see), rest of the cars are simply taken from the previous game. Forza 4 has about 600 premium cars and is still getting some new cars. It is irritating that if I want to see the interior, for example, of Bugatti Veryon, Jaguar XJ220 or Fiat Coupe I have to check Forza's gameplays on Youtube. Standard of playing is progressing with every generation of consoles, so why I have to play with 2/3 content from previous generation (PS2) on PS3. Apart from that I like GT5 very much.

As fas as DLC is concerned, in my opionion it would be nice if some content (new cars) could be given to the players for free on a regular basis (for example every quarter after game's release) in order to prolong the playability time. Even if this content was done at the release of the game, but it should be free of charge. I know it's unrealistic....

DLC is nice, but only nice when not over done. There's the good and evil about it. GT5 not having DLC monthly isn't the reason the game continues to return to my system.

But think of it this way, the same people who paid $20 for a bunch of Porsches in FM4.. and calling it "This is how DLC should be done" is a terrible idea. That kind of expansion should've been free to that community. I can't justify paying $20 for a bunch of ports that were in the last game two years ago. The same cars you paid $60 for on release of FM3.

Hell no you aren't! LOL

I was looking forward for this moment to happen, I hate Porsches, too.

And even more so their drivers, that is one pack of arrogant people. But I love to see their 🤬 faces when they can't pass my sleeper.

LOL probably a Boxster with a slushbox, even 1.8L Hondas can pull on them.

That I agree with. I've been one of the "first" in this forum to criticize the standard/premium "feature" PD chose for GT5. But what the OP is asking for is more cars. I think we have enough cars. What is debatable though is the quality of them. For a start, I'm happy that all of them (I believe) have cockpits we can sit in. That, for me, is a really nice step from GT4 cars, regardless if it was difficult or not to add them in GT5.

I haven't played GT5 for a while (when I hit 40/40 and since spec 2 got old) and I have still never bought any dlc of any kind, I don't see a point if theres no events to race the dlc items in I'm not a fan of online racing because everytime I give it a go my fun gets ruined by rammers and dirty drivers even if I move off the racing line and let them through (they still use my car as brakes). At least raise the level cap or do something about adding more proper A spec championships then I might consider some dlc purchasing.

What are you talking about here? Every Porsche driver is arrogant? Do you want a bigger brush? I don't think you swept that generalization quite enough.

I generalize when it comes to Porsche, Brand policy, Dealers and owners, yes, and I admit proudly.

One of my best friends got a Porsche, even he became arrogant ever since he owns the POS.

TokoTurismo
I'm not talking about EVERY Forza fans, only to those that brag. Relax. :sly:

One man's friendly advice about other options and broadening your horizons is another mans bragging, clearly ;)

Leave Toko alone already, its true there are those who rather come here to brag instead of enjoying their game. how we know? by them exposing themselfes as such. Why they do it? Haven't got clue

Thank you for backing me up Flaco13. 👍 And you're also right as well, cuz its true.

On the whole I think that it's better that we have those cars (standard) instead of not having them at all. I also agree with the statement that a-spec is too short and it doesn't pose a challenge to me (sorry Vettel challange is not my cup of caffee, it's unrealistic). What I would like to get for a compensation is an event creator. For example I would like to race against cars which kicked asses in 80/90 (F40, COUNTACH 88, RUF YELLOW BIRD and many more) but I can't do this in arcade (even in online because the title of online room is only about ten digit/letters long - lots of player don't take notice of it, I can't select cars from my own garage, and I have to kick out players who join the room with skylines and etc., it's very irritating).

So if a-spec is not satisfatory to many players please PD give me the chance to create my own event!!!!

Maybe some of us are fans of the genre, not fans of just one franchise...

Maybe some of us aren't bragging but would like to see PD follow suit on what they staed or at least an update of some sort if dlc4 will come or not

Kaz said we would be getting dlc roughly every 2 months. So where is just the 4th dlc?? As is we were supposed to be on dlc5 or dlc6 but instead no news nor update on even dlc4...

At least t10 Speaks to their fans in their week in review and for fm3 told everyone when the final dlc would be, since they said we would get monthly dlc for a year and were short just 1 month. There are so many cars (and tracks) that PD could include as dlc, new and old. So I still say bring it on PD!!

Its indeed frustrating. Isn't there a blog that's daticated to only GT? Imo Kaz's twitter is pointless so isn't there anything we can find and read about GT5 and DLC? After the GT Academy mini game PD better make us something BIG time, because that was way to long to not even release a single DLC while it was up. :indiff:

Why is PD making themselves so difficult...

He didn't say how long. Remember DLC2 to DLC3 was actually a month apart, and he said "Maybe" every two months.

I think it isn't PD making themselves difficult, it'd be more of the community wanting too much. When one thing is delivered you expect more the next.

Like most here have said in the past, don't expect much. If something comes around it's that much better. Take it as a surprise.

Okay. But I hope we see one soon so I won't expect it to much, and just try to ignore it. ^_^

"maybe every 2 months"....

It has been 5 months and counting, still no word.. It would be nice if we heard something, even a 'no more dlc' announcement but nothing.

An overworked, understaffed company. That's what I believe we are witnessing....again.

And then there's Kaz. And he's got his own agenda.

Oh, and there's also that thing called communication thing that many developers have taken advantage of in this social world.

That's the problem with them. They're a small company yes. But what's more frustrating is they won't even consider communicating with their fans at all. Are they serious? :grumpy:

Why yes they are. Shame really, it seems they still live in the stone ages. And that's coming from a fan of Gran Turismo.

I am a former Xbox360 owner and loved Forza 2 I sold it about three years ago to buy a PS3 just for GT5, I am not sorry I did, I think GT5's physics are second to none. I have spent more time on GT5 than any other game in my 20 odd year history of playing video games. I am however sorry I let go of my 360 and Forza, I often sit in front of my screen bored at the lack of any decent single player challenge GT5 can offer me.

I cannot believe the glaring omission PD made with no Race Creator in GT5. I don't want to play in arcade mode, I simply want to race the car I have spent hours setting up and modding in GT mode against other similar AI cars, It is not rocket science, just put me up against other cars of similar weight and power. I can easily overlook every little bug and fault that GT5 has if I am busy enjoying the sublime physics model that Kaz has created, I can even ignore the AI that offers a challenge but is basic to say the least. I can ignore all of this if there was a way to create my own races within this glorious simulator.

I am sad to say that GT5 may be my last Gran Turismo as Next Gen I may switch back to Xbox and Forza simply because I feel they listen more to their fans, Kaz seems to have wandered off into the land of Nissan obsession. GT5 was never properly finished but it is an amazing piece of art. Forza for me seems to have taken the more conventional route of offering newer car models within their updates and I find myself looking and thinking how dated GT looks, PD can't live on the GT name forever I think Turn 10 are kicking at their heels and looking like they could be the daddy of the next gen.

You basicly summarize my reasons for dropping GT and switching to Xbox and FM4, it was a small gamble but i haven't regretted a moment of it, as all those irritating points PD neglects, and make a good and exciting racing game, are present in FM4.

And even if GT6 would be on the money "in a couple of years", i've had it with PD for treating their customers feedback as ****. I'm reluctant to give them another chance now, and invest again in their product.

I think Forza has finally beat the GT franchise.

I mean, GT is my favorite game franchise, but that might change if I get an Xbox 360 and Forza 4 pretty soon. It looks like such a good game and if I had a 360 I would not resist buying it.

GT and their developers at Polyphony Digital seem to be going nowhere. If you want Porsche, they will give you another Nissan. If you want Interlagos, they will give you a karting track. Ask Turn 10 what you want in a racing game. Most likely, they will fulfill your request.

GT6 better be an improvement over GT5. If PD is stuck in 1998 and turns GT into the Madden of racing games (other than NASCAR games), then so be it. I will just buy the next Forza as well as the Xbox it will be on.

We do need more DLC, though, but I prefer tracks over cars.

I still think every 2 months was a mis translation...I mean I dont think its just a coincidence that we got dlc for those 2 or 3 months following that anouncement.Instead they probably meant "maybe over the next 2 months".I thought that back when it was first announced really.Because every 2 months seemed weird.

This is what I am fed up with. It's 2012 why are we still getting lost in translation? Either say the right thing or don't say anything at all. All it does it get people arguing over who was able to decipher his language. Basically we rely on just a handful of people on GTPlanet to translate what he is talking about. :indiff:

What needs to be done, is for the History channel to air a episode of Brad Meltzer's Decoded featuring Kaz' talk.

I think he spoke to soon and said what the fans wanted to hear.

aha I dont think the date has much to do with mis translations expecially with japanese .It just happens, I understand what your saying though.
"Either say the right thing or dont say anything at all"
Could be a reason PD dont communicate with their fans much because of translation issues.
