SNAIL Holiday Event Discussion

I wanted to do a sign-up form and be fancy about it, but it turns out I need a bit more training to link tables and sheets in the cloudy world. So, keep posting your intent in this thread and I will keep track. In the table below the "Seq" is the sequence of your post in this threat (@nmcp1 was the first post, but I'm taking no 1 spot just because....). I will post an updated table every few days.

Please note that you might be in a different division than now because this event will take place after promotion/relegation at the end of the August Season. So, buy both cars just in case.

ADD me then.

Put me down as a maybe please. I'll be at a fantasy football draft that day, but hopefully I could make it home in time. Does it start the same time we race on Sundays?

The latest sign-up status. Don't worry about the number right now. We will assess closer to the race time if we will make two rooms or if people can join according to the "seq" number.

Here it is:

  • Please note the difference in Cars for Division 1&2 and Division 3&4
  • D1&2 can change and paint the wheels. Car remains white.
  • D3&4 can paint the car and change/paint the wheels. Please paint with bright colors other than white so we have a clear distinction between the two "classes".
  • I will work on the signup process over the weekend
I changed my mind. I think I can do it. I'm just curious about in-game time. When is the race starting and what is time progression? Are you setting it up to roughly simulate 24 hours or anything like that?

I'll mark you down as "Yes". I didn't plan to do time progression, but "ll start the race at late dawn and finish at early dusk. The track is challenging enough for us to bother about visibility. Just don't use shadows as your brake markers ....

I like that. I was practicing with 30 time progression for fun (48 minute day). Definitely a lot harder at night and when the Sun is extremely low. I believe it started to rise at 6:00 and went down at 21:00. So 15 hours of daylight, in 90 minutes. *does math calculations* 10 time progression is perfect. 90 minute race gets 10x so it's like 900 in game minutes, or 15 hours.

I cant find all of the exact room settings and rules for the race.
