So, about that course creator.

Yes, so why Kaz can't say anything about the game. He allways say that he can't talk about stuff. Why?

Honestly, I think it's a personal decision to be quiet about things, rather than pressure from Sony.

Why? Who the hell knows... but he must realise it annoys the 🤬 out of many, many people.

I'm not searching through 20 pages, so I hope this wasn't posted yet.

At this point, with GT7 most likely being released by December 2016, I almost feel like we don't need course creator anymore.

I fully agree that the course maker NEEDS to be out. It's been WAY too long. However, saying that VGT (or, honestly, almost any other part of this game or the next) is taking away from it being developed is a little short sighted.

Sure, they are busy with a lot of things. But, they have the right people working on this, and they (typically) have nothing (or at least incredibly little) to do with any other part of the game.

So, enough already! Just release it! :)

I think he's gotten better with GT6, although recently we haven't heard much of anything out of him in terms of actual information so it's hard to tell.
Well i think he "got better" because maybe in the past it didn't work out as they wanted and

I think Kaz is afraid of telling us anything about development time.

The thing that aches me the most is that PD will not give us any information of any sort. While I understand they'd rather remain silent and secretive about what they are developing, how harmful can it be to show us a single screenshot of, say, CM's main menu?

I mean, there are developers out there who share stuff like this (but I admit - I can only think of independent devs that do this), and in an overwhelming majority of cases fans are super happy to see even these small updates...

Oh well, I'll just politely wait till the damn thing arrives. I hope it's going to be very well polished, especially considering that, as PD say, it's been in testing for about a year now! :D

They can't show you the CM's main menu because they haven't started it yet :)

That's clearly still the case though. It's pretty obvious that the course maker hasn't gone as they wanted, and neither has the VGT program.

What he's gotten better at is not making concrete statements about stuff that is still subject to change. Unfortunately, it turns out that's about all the information he ever gave, so now we get nothing.

I'll be interested to see how he goes leading up to the release of GT7, whether he puts out the same sort of sweeping, overly optimistic statements or whether PD as a whole move onto a new (and hopefully more accurate) way of sharing information about their game.

I'm finding it kind of sad when I realize that if Course Maker were to arrive in July (this year), I'm not sure it would drag me forcibly back into GT6 with staying power.

These days, I occasionally come back for a seasonal or two, but the quest for cars has been been slaked by B-Spec and, like all games, it has now reached a sort of "sameness" which means my enthusiasm is very low.

I'm still hoping that Course Maker can add sufficient spice, and only time will tell....

Course creator with a robust event generator, and I would be more than set. Of course, it would have to be offline, as I'm not expecting 6 to have servers in a year or two.....

He has opened his mouth and inserted his foot so many times he now has toenail fungus on his gums. He needs to shut his jaws, stay at his office & make the drones crank out some code. He is always letting his alligator mouth overload their canary azz coding skills. Don't go running all over the world flapping your gums Kaz, show us some progress. He talks a good fight, but so far all we have is talk. This guy is all smoke & mirrors, & those distorted carnival mirrors at that. He doesn't care, he has already collected your coins.

Fixed it đź‘Ť

And yes, true. There's been some distortion on their latest jazz album, "Moon Over The Canary Castle". Perhaps he should just take a step back from the microphone to keep the levels down a bit.

I really like those Tajaraste rythms though! I think they've got something great going on there. And the timple solos are just amazing

Review score? I give it 4/5.

Yes but the jazz menu music tho.
BTW if he'd stepped back further from the microphone we'd be getting no news at all and thus getting the silence treatment. No good.

...Whoa there man, I get where you coming from, but c'mon man, whew. GTP is a family-friendly site, y'know?

Late reaction but, didn't he talked too much already? They never had to predict with this Coursemaker news and especially they've beta tested already.. it's too much information that makes the waiting harder and harder. They set their goals too high to tell about a project that isn't finished at all (seems like), they are probably fighting with the capabilities of the ps3 hardware and somehwere I think skip important details and options to make this Course Maker interesting. I didn't mind if they had said last year "Sorry guys, the ps3 isn't fast/good enough for what we want to give to you, we bring out GT7 sooner, better and with the Course Maker with all the options we wanted too.

I'd love too see this course maker in gt6, but because it's 2 years of waiting now, I'm afraid the chance of dissapointment would be higher then being greatfull for this long wait. What about iOS and Adroid, they can't deny the larger croud of android users, where they also help Apple instead of Sony Experia users?
Like the addition of colouring our rear wings was a dissapointment too. I'm not a complainer, I'm still happy as GT6 is today. I still play this game, I'm only unhappy the way PD communicates (still the lack of communciation) and the downfall of this GT-series the last 4/5 years.

I know, a bit of spooky chrystal bowl wiseness, but that's my point of view.. Let's hope I'm wrong at any point I've talked about! :)

Supposedly the GT6 servers will still run for some time after GT7 is realeased (like in GT5 to GT6), therefore we have GT6 servers for about... another year and a half at least?

That's what I'm expecting....... But, it being a PS3, and the PS4 using somewhat different servers (maybe), they might stay on for long enough for the Academy to show up. (shrug)

I'd say two years from now, after all the efforts i think PD would want something like this.
I still hope for the event creator to be something more rather than a fan wishful thinking, because there are no signs of said thing in past interviews but only salty remarkings on GT6 potential and how everyone wanted multi class racing or a specific endurance race, or at least to be identified as "endurance" at all.

GT5 servers were shut down in less than 6 months. Why would GT7 be any different?

That would mean 2 years from now.

IF - BIG IF - IF there is a GT release on PS4 next year, it will be for the Christmas season 2016. If it's GT7, then the GT6 servers will be up for 6 months or so, which means 2 years from now. If, however, they do a GT7 prologue, then who knows? GT7 proper could still be 3 years out.

People seem to keep forgetting that is was 6 years from GT4 to GT5. 5 or 6 years from GT6 to GT7 isn't crazy.

Well, if anything is to be believed, Kaz hopes to have GT7 out this year. Maybe......

We shall see. Because there is precious little else to do.

How T10 relese Forza 6 so early? Do they have more money, workers etc?

I'm interested in discussing this -

Kaz[\B]- It's still in progress, but it takes us more work than expected

Famine[\B]- ...there's a good reason for the fact the course maker's schedule is not what people may have been expecting and it's neither because PD has overstretched itself and the tech nor because they're holding out on fans...

Are these explanations somewhat different ? Or is it just me ?

Respectfully submitted and puzzled simultaneously .

They can be different if you want them to be.

However, Yamauchi only refers to "work", and not what kind of work it is. I would certainly suggest that many Joules more have been expended than he originally planned - but his answer says nothing about where they were expended.

I see this being easily true. The program is made, and it works fine on the front end (in the supercomputer.

However, getting it to NOT have problems while running on the PS3 is an entirely different matter.
