It's a replica. Or atleast how close i could get it with the layercount. Im not brittish, but what the heck. I wouldn't only want to make Swedish cars :D

Wow... nice replica indeed. I've been poking around here and there for Sagaris liveries for the better part of a year and have been really disappointed at what I found. It's about time someone did something creative on the car in real life!

This thread is making me want to hook up the 360 and paint up a few more cars. But tonight I have laundry, Friday a NIN video concert... time is such a premium these days, meh!

If we do have a livery editor, I pray it isn't as archaic as the FM3 one. I've never bothered with more than a SPONSOR decal because making anything else was impossible unless you had time and skills.

That's the whole point. If all the decals and sponsor names were pre-made or even just simple to do, everyone would make great designs and there'd be no room for skill or effort.

They still won't be able to include 1/10h of the decals needed to make the car above. I just want more shapes, more letters, more everything. Just not almost nothing like forza.
So what you're saying is make the feature accessible to some and unusable to the masses?

Livery Editor would be a great feature, yes ricers will abuse it to no end, but there are gonna be some really great race replicas and other really awesome paint schemes.
People will be able to create their favorite paint scheme, because PD won't be able to include them all, there are just so many.

I just hope there will be a share feature of some sorts, because i have the artistic talent of a brick so i have to rely on other peoples creativity. Maybe a photoshop import /export feature ? You'd click on the "export" button and it would create a template that you could work on in PS and then import it to the game.

That would be great. Anyone who has Nascar 09 as I do can say that is the best thing thats ever happened. I may even go as far as to say(no offense to the Forza painters as you guys have pure talent) Paint Booth is just as good, maybe even better then livery editor. Not only have I made replicas and painted my own paint schemes, but I've even had the creative freedom to make whole new car templates for everyone else to download and paint on.

With so much of Forza's lifting from Gran Turismo - and even our suggestions on this board! - I think some take with the give is inevitable. A huge aspect of Forza's community focus is providing a capable shop system which allows people to sell or share freely, decals, designs, even whole liveries, which several of us have done in the pursuit of coming up with some GT Planet liveries. I expect something similar if Kaz blesses us with a livery shop.

I hope GT5 does include a livery editor, so I can carry over my awesome Veyron paint;

Coolest kid on the block.

I'd also like to carry on doing my replica cars;

Though I think the Pikachu livery is silly, I cannot help but to admire the work someone has put into it. It's unique, and that's all that matters.

Ah, even just making up your own livery is a lot of fun. That's about all i do these days. I would LOVE to transfer them over using the crisper decals and whatnot in GT5.

A few examples:

Subie i painted for a competition

That's the only thing I don't like about the decals in Forza, they're really low resolution in-game and in photos! That and the lack of an eraser option.

Yes, those are two excellent cars. 👍 And proof that you don't need a thousand layers to make a livery scheme look good.

Of course, with all the lettering and custom fonts on that Subie, it was still probably quite a bit... :sly:

Thanks.

But i (like many other painters in Forza) was hoping for more than 1000 layers. The Subie was nearly maxxed out on all sides (1000 on top/left-right side; 500 front/rear; 100 on spoiler), and i really wanted to add more detail. Shoot the hood on the Ferrari was almost 300 in itself. Loads of fine-detail went into the flag. I even tried to make all the stars to scale. I'm VERY VERY picky when it comes to attention to detail. Thus the reason why i took the time to make sure i had EVERY star in it's (almost) exact location with it's relative size to the rest. Spent a decent 2-2.5 hours on the hood alone.

And if i could convey all this on GT5, god i'd be in hevan! I don't think i'd have a use for my xbox anymore.

That's exactly a kind of passion GT series could really profit from! ...and if the on-line component is as good as they're saying it will be...well, I don't know who would buy Forza titles anymore...;)
p.s. I have nothing against Forza, my statement is purely factual.:) (And I would too really love to see a livery editor, and would spend considerate amount of time there!:D)

Increasingly hoping it will be included seeing all the possibilities Forza seems to offer and although i will love creating all sorts of different liveries both subtle and more conventional, i'd also like to be more experimental like the official BMW Art Car series whereby BMW asks different modern artist to treat their racing cars as canvas on which they're given free reign and although some are an aquired taste ( to be polite ) the next one by Frank Stella is possibly my favourite.

Interesting question you ask, thread creator.

Well, of course there's a possibility that a livery editor will appear in Gran Turismo 5. Then again, there's a possibility that one will not be present. Ah, only time will tell. Perhaps in 73 days? Whatever that means.

I wouldn't wont exactly that on my car, but to each his own eh?;)
Also I'd love to see you wearing that car when we get out...online, in a race of course!:D ...and then, pass you on my way to victory!

Oh you barbarian ;), wouldn't create something which was similar ( otherwise it wouldn't be creating but replicating ) but of all those BMW Art Car's this is the one that stuck with me the most ( this might not be the best angle though ).
When i race you online i'll be sure my car will be either black or yellow.:sly:

You just let me know in advance, so we can match our apparel. Wait what?:dopey:
p.s. Please, anything but this!

Warhol sucks and the only way for me to match that look, would be to eat a whole lot of veggies and then throw up all over the poor car!:P
...and now excuse me, I'm going out, for real(being saturday and all)!:D

Looks similar and terrible, the difference is the car above is a legend, the car below it's a....erhm...car?

Looks like someone called a 2 year old to do the job, and demanded he to use his fingers to do that atrocity with the bimmer. :grumpy:

The M1 is a legend because effing Andy Warhol painted it and it raced at Le Mans painted like that.

Philistine.

While Mr Warhol's "livery" looks a bit slapdash and gaudy, I'd like to take that basic scheme and do something with it, rather like the Senna F430 in Ferrari Challenge.

no luck after a half hour search. I checked the thread i used it in for a paint competition but i guess i removed the pics from flickr (back in the days i didn't have a pro account). and i got rid of all my forza 2 stuff from my HDD, so i guess i'll have to make it again on fm3. Wasn't a very long or hard paint, only took a total of about 6 hours or so.
