When you want a really nice challenge, then try the chapparal 2j 70. The car is a pure joy to drive, until the sun goes down. The car has no lights, so try to do 7 or 8 laps in the dark and in most cases, with a lot of rain.
I've just done this race for the first time in full. The other attempts abandoned when it went dark and started raining - I decided there were better ways to earn credits!

I know GT can speed up tyre wear and fuel consumption, but I didn't know it could speed up track time! Lap 6 it went dark and started to rain and I wasn't looking forward to another 40 to 45 minutes of racing in the dark / wet.

Amazingly, on lap 15, it suddenly went light again! It had stopped raining on lap 13. I was really happy about that.

It's the first time I've seen this speeding up of time (except on the main menu page) and it really took me by surprise. Very odd!

It is sped up just like the 24 minutes of Le Mans mission. And actually the time is sped up in all races that speeds up tyre wear / fuel consumption. Making clouds move at godly speeds and making it wet/dry up within 1-2 minutes.
Let alone that the Spa Race is trying to simulate an evening to morning race in 1 hour with the lights.

Thanks, I'd not noticed it before this race!

I have just finished watching the la man’s 24 hours race gran trisomo 7 is going to have to be changed now all the endurance cars are totally different now all the old body styles have gone

The Ferrari GT3 car is 2 generations old, the Corvette GT3 is 2 generations old. There is no LMP2 and never have been. There is an Audi LMP1 car from 2011 and a Peugeot HDI from 2010, both cars existed in the almost 10 year old game of GT5.
Highly doubt that is the priority.

I use a detuned 962 (I think Casperello made that tune, but I'm not completely sure)
Today I did a 3 stop strategy changing the tyres and full tank

I did this with the Chaparral and I found if you turn on the driving line in the aids it can help you a bit in the dark until it gets lighter...

want to win this fair and square with a gr.3 car like the hyundai is it possible?
Of course it is!! I’ve won it multiple times with a stock Gr.3 car. Purely by accident mind you 😂 I thought I had the supercharger on my Vette the 3 or 4 times I won it, then noticed it was bone stock!

Strategy is simply FM6 and go as long as possible on RH tyres, then change to inters for the rain

Edit: I’m on medium difficulty

I gotta be honest lad, I still don't know what a trisomo is so please do elaborate

Had my first attempt at this last night, went balls deep on hard difficulty. Didnt end well.

Learnt alot for my second attempt later though.

I have done it plenty of times on stock Gr3 cars. It is my to go race for grinding.

Start on hards. If it were a dry race, you can do it on 2 pit stops, one each 20 minutes, if you go with fuel map 3 from the beginning. It normally ends up being a wet race, and if it rains, it is almost always around the 20 minute mark, so there is your first pit stop. Choose tyres accordingly (sometimes it rains so little you can pit for hards at this point).

As for the rest of the race, it depends on the rain, but normally one more pit stop should be enough: you either wait until the track line is dry and pit for hards, or pit for W/I depending on the rain. Sometimes it will be 2 more pitstops though.

Has anyone noticed if they changed the clean race bonus on this race in the last update? I didn't get the bonus in the last two races when before it seemed almost impossible to lose it. Like I could crash into another car and pile-drive us both into a tire barrier and still get the bonus. Now I had two races where I just went wide in a corner or two and the bonus is lost.

easy win for supra GT500, this will rotate nicely with the lemans 30min for a credit grind, I didn’t get CRB though and was particularly careful not to touch any Ai cars or cut so must be super sensitive due to size of the payout, if I can’t guarantee the CRB it’s less useful but still a fun race
For future reference, I found that the the only way not to get the CRB, is passing during a caution. This seems to go for Sardegna, Le Mans, and Tokyo as well. I like the Watkins Glen race too, but I've yet to get the CRB in that, even though I've raced what I was sure was a clean race, no contact and no slow down penalties.

I don't venture on to this course often, but I definitely went off-track a few times yesterday and got the CRB. No collisions or yellow flag violations.

That said, I inadvertently smacked the dog wrinkles off an AI opponent at Sarthe today and kept the CRB.

All I can figure is that the Grand Slam courses are much more forgiving than any of the 'short' courses.

As far as I am aware you only loose the CRB on this race for two reasons - overtaking under yellows or crossing the pit lane line. So I guess you have done one of these and got penalised

Alright, that's my answer. I was coming up onto a lapped car and the yellow popped up the moment I was already passing them. Happened in both races. Really crappy timing. I think they should give a little leeway because it was literally when my front wheels were passing their rears that the yellow showed up.
