My thoughts exactly. I'll be passing. I've been close to shelving the game for months now (it's grown quite stale) and this DLC pack, with only 1 new track (kart doesn't count), isn't going to keep me playing. Sad, really. Hopefully PD release more tracks soon (as in November at the latest) otherwise I may just trade this in.
 
I would have also liked some original tracks but I can't really complain, I would have never seen Spa coming, I was blown away.
 
sweet - cant wait for Spa 👍 dont care about kart track, helmets... and car pack hmm dont need any more nissans gtr tbh. hopefully next dlc will have more real world tracks

Yay...1 new track. Seriously, this is what I was afraid of. The GT enthusiasts are going to foolishly spend their money on 1 track and claim we should. PD will think they've pleased their fans, and then we're stuck with crap DLC for future updates. I think I'd rather just cut ties with this game now and wait for HOPEFULLY more DLC in the future, and then wait further for it to be discounted.

no one is making you by the DLC, if you don't like it, don't buy it.

Yep, all tyre walls and kerbs are red/yellow and that gravel trap is history!

This is me only last week in my MX5 turbo:


But, I don't care. I'm gonna paint the MX5 Touring Car mariner blue and go rip it up! :)
 
i wonder if they will do any seasonal events with course? i will get the Spa as DLC (not the rest), so this time not concerned, but if next mappack is not real tracks, i will defo pass on it but that means i could also get screwed if these are incl. in seasonal events.

w/ Sony history with our customer details they can't expect people just to hand out credit card details. i for one will get a PSN card since i am not willing to share that info with them

I wouldn't be at all surprised if the next round of seasonal events, following the DLC becoming available, is heavily geared towards the new material 👍
 
But it'll be interesting to see how they'll do that because not everybody will have the DLC tracks.

I'm not one of them, but nearly everybody asked for Spa since DLC was said to be probable.

This means you will have no problem at all trying to find a race at Spa.

that is good and bad. i for one will get Spa, but those that didnt will get shafted, unless ofc they can still do the seasonal but that's it (no online multi races etc..). at least that would be fair/nicer imo

sidenote. i may need to start doing some backups if i start getting DLC. can i just plug in any USB external hard drive and copy data, or does it need to be specially formatted for PS3?
 
No new a-spec events no buy, simple. Relasing a new track without any new desperately needed a-spec content is a joke. i hope PD are not that stupid.

Do you have a pic of your MX5 from the front anywhere? Great footage, btw. 👍

With the stripes on your hood it could look a lot like the MX5 Race Car in the DLC:

Spa is great but don't forget that kart track in the same pack, that looks pretty incredible with all the neon lights, perfect for some weird photomode experiments.

Thanks mate! :) I think I am going to paint it mariner blue as well, if I'll have it as a colour available since then.

Also, your MX5 doesn't look as cute as my MX5 ingame. It looks pretty aggressive. :dopey:

The seasonal events come around quick enough for it not to be a big issue. It will be an incentive for those who haven't already downloaded the DLC to do so.
