Spa is a pleasant surprise, it's a wonder it hasn't been heard about.

It's a great idea from Spa's perspective, they need cash, so this will help to publicize the circuit so more people will travel like we do "the ring" to drive it on their "public days".

This is exactly what I thought when I saw they'd finally be on Gt. They needed the money and thought..."hey we could blow up big like Nurb did a few years ago with GT4" or something like that.

In August, every single curb and tire wall was painted red-yellow.

Also, in this turn, the gravel trap on the left was replaced by asphalt:

I was there in the beginning of august and it was still like this

The circuit was painted red and yellow because Shell sponsored the F1 race this season, in a last minute deal so it may have only been a temporary change of colour.

Also PD were known to have visited the track months, if not years ago to possibly include it in GT5 so their research was based on how the circuit looked then, not this year possibly.

Wether the kerbs are the wrong colour or the gravel trap is wrong is a minor issue, we have Spa in GT!!!

Since Shell took over they painted it Red and Yellow like the other poster said. It even had that color scheme when F1 was there and that was end of August, so yes it was after you were there. I realize another post has just said this somewhat...so darn.

1 track after a year with no new content to use it in? LMAo, what terrible DLC... 2.0 is great but this DLC is a joke. Where is the a-spec content, still no Gt5 for me.

Spa is the only think I wanted for DLC and Kaz has given it to us, so big thumbs up. Finally the game has the finest race track in the world. (no offense to Nordschleife, its more like the finest time trial track in the world).

I don't race online hardly at all, so if there's no single player events to race Spa, then I'll have to think twice about whether i'll bother purchasing it, £5 (or however much it'll be over here) is quite a lot to just hotlap round the track on my own

It's day time, just lighting effects for the intro. I thought the same thing. Hopefully in due time we'll get a full 24 hour version. I can't see that being an easy task to create. They've probably been working on SPA for a while most likely but then had to finish the game finally. Let alone they had to shut down the offices for the earthquake and relocate their offices as well.

I can't imagine what the size would be of a 24 hour track file. All in all it's a day time, late afternoon, evening, sunset, night, early morning, sunrise, morning, and late morning sequence of tracks. It's not just one track that changes lighting, judging by how it clicks over.

My theory is that it's a day OR night track. Plus, why the floodlights?

That screen shot looks ilke day time / early evening time to me.

The 'floodlights' look like a bloom / sun reflection and the video was heavy in post production effects. Plus the cars have no headlight beams lighting up the track ahead, so to me, there is no night Spa unfortunately =(

If there was 24hr version, PD would have teased more about it!

And I won´t be Nostradamus if I say that there are going to be a lot of tracks in the future to download. I expect a "legacy track pack" for 4.99.

I payed more than that to for Spa on iRacing, which pretty much just gets used for hotlapping in my case, so personally I would pay the money for just hotlapping!

I doubt it but that would be good if they could. I hope for a classic track pack as a later DLC and am a little dissapointed but if it had to be only one real world track, Spa is the one

Those aren't floodlights, it's the metal top of the stand reflecting the sun.

The darkness around the edges is the video filter used for the stylized intro movie.

I absolutely love to have Spa coming but if we're being honest, the track was a work in progress long before GT5 release. It was mentionned by Jordan as a possible track for the 370Z Time Trial Demo so, it should have been here since Day One.
Still awesome anyway^^
