Unfortunately I haven't had a lot of time to test but here's what I've found so far, all online.

The karts handle much better. More responsive, more forgiving. The little bugs in tracks like the bump at Dunlop at Tsukuba, the downhill left hander second corner at Autumn Ring Mini, the last switchback at Eiger are either fixed or highly predictable. The left hander at AR Mini is now an awesome corner, whereas before in the kart it wanted to suck the front end in to the left and kick the rear out. It's a great corner now, along with the last switchback at Eiger. I did a 38 flat at AR Mini online, something I could not do before.

First car I tested was my RGT online 450pp SS tires at Deep Forest Reverse. My third lap was 1:21.2 my fastest ever lap t that PP/tire combo and one full second faster than my previous fastest lap in that car, and it was extensively tested. Turn in was better, a bit sharper, more overall grip and the car just felt smoother and more predictable. You could push it hard and if you went to far, the front end would push slightly but you wouldn't lose control. Some curbs were more usable, others were still twitchy as it should be.

Took my Cappuccino Cup out at the last track we ran on, Madrid Mini. We ran 6 races there, avg probably 12 guys, 15 laps and tons of practice and no one cracked 57.9. I did a 57.5 third lap and low 57's are definitely possible. Again the car was more planted, more predictable, smoother, with a bit more turn in and overall grip with the exact same. pre-Spec 2 set up.

I think you can throw out a lot of your previous lap time standards as well. In my FT86 Sports Concept at 500pp/RS tires I got down to 1:14 at Deep Forest and 1:30.1 at GPD, about a second faster than my previous best there.

I think that's the issue. I use even ride height and play with the spring rate/ dampers/ arb. They changed something there pretty good. I also think the has been tweaked as there is something off about that too. It's so frustrating.

Exactly. Plus the steering is way more sluggish. Sucks quite a lot.

I had a few races online and what I'm observing is up to the limit the car handles more or less the same, but now all cars seem less forgiving. My M5 bites back WAY more often now - also did anyone notice that nurb is more "bumpy"? offline didnt notice too much, but cars do feel tighter - both online and off, easier to get a feel for what's going on. Step in the right direction, but now I think i have to "soften" all my tunes

I don't think the steering is sluggish I think it was unrealistic before and now it's closer to real life. The kind of turn in you were getting on street cars even on sport soft tires, was the same as you might get in a $1Million + race car. It was too sharp and unrealistic. Now it seems to be smoother and more planted but less sharp. I was already tuning in that direction to begin with so for me at least, the transition to the newer physics is relatively easy and my lap times are falling in just about every car.

My favorite feature of Spec 2.0, has to be the recoverable oversteer, that I didn't have before at all. And Going off curb is more manageable with feathering inputs than before. Online shuffle racing at 400-500 pp is great fun too. Something has to be done about the rammers hitting you from behind that instantly boosts you forward off the track. Also, I find it unfair how when a car in front of me is slipping and sliding, barely hanging on to his dear line for life, is yet still somehow going fast enough, that when I accelerate cleanly from way behind, I still don't pass him safely enough, without either getting rammed from his deliberate knock to hold his line, or he just has too much forward momentum in regards to his swaying.

That happened far too many times to count.

I haven't tried too many cars, but so far I tried my mini tune which I have been told was good and I always loved it, but after this spec 2 it under steered and over steered a lot more. It was also much more bumpy and had a lot of side roll. I had to adjust pretty much everything to get it back to where it was before, but it's much better now. I think they made the suspension much more sensitive as dampers and roll bars didn't matter too much on the exact settings, but a small change now makes a big difference.
