Since nothing happened with this 200hp FF challenge I'm making a new challenge.

OPEN TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE!!

Challenge: FF Top Speed Challenge.
Entry Deadline: 12.00 midnight 1st September. And I mean 12.00am in your zone of the world which means the Aussies and Kiwi's will be the first to hit the deadline and American Pacific Time will be the last.

I am looking for someone from any of the tuning groups and also people who do the 300mph challenge to try and attain the FF holy grail which is to have a 400km/h FF driven ROAD CAR. I have come close myself, getting into the 390's a few times with a couple of cars, but the 400 has eluded me, so I open it all to you to try and be the first to do this!! Show me your FF Top Speed tuning skills boys. :D

Now I want photo proof in this challenge people and if you want to add video that's your choice. :) Same rules apply as the 300mph thread, no wheelies (pretty hard in FF :P), no driving backwards and no wallriding. :irked:
If you race/test using mph, that's cool. After your run, go to options, and change the speed unit from mph to kph and then take your photo. You will want 248.56mph to get a 400km/h speed though.

Let's get to it people. 👍 Highest speed wins!!

I'll do it, of course :). I've come pretty close without trying :D. Just out of interest, what is the most powerful stock FF???

Edit: Don't worry, i've found out.

Don't worry about stock mcsqueegy man. The highest stock powered FF isn't the highest after working the car. ;) Co-incidentally, the 5 highest FF powered cars WITH NITROUS are:

Dodge SRT-4
Alfa Romeo 156 V6 2.5
Honda Integra Type R (DC5)
Alfa GTV 3.0 V6 (Coupe & Spider) &
Alfa 147 GTA

To tell you the truth, my car is none of those. 1st run with this car so far was 392.04km/h.....still 4km/h off my PB with it and 8km/h off the grail of 400km/h.

SRT-4 can do 260mph. been there, done that. now, I wonder if Mitsu FTO could run up there.. probably can since it has the power and torque there where it's needed.

try it yourself. if you look around in the 300mph thread, you can probably spot it there. it got up to 275 or something if memory serves.

Alfa GT is up there too...

I said WITH NITROUS noob. :P Alfa GT doesn't have NOS option making it as useless as the 500hp Eclipse. ;)

Leo, where and when dude, show me.........there's too much to filter through with the 300mph thread. :)

I'm at 396.71km/h as of right now with the SRT4 after giving up with the Focus RS (got that to the 392km/h mark, but can get faster). The FTO wouldn't make it I don't think, I reckon a better shot would be with the Integra Type R using a Stage 3 turbo for that extra 10hp, and I've got that puppy into the 390km/h range aswell with the Stage 5 turbo.

*added bit* Got to love search. Just checked the 300mph thread with all your posts Leo. YOU DID NOT DO IT!! NO ONE HAS!! Claims of 249-250mph were thrown with the DC5 Race Car but that's as good as that got, and claims of 247mph in the SRT4 which is 398km/h at most. ;)

So the search continues, I want to see a 400km/h FF POWERED ROAD CAR!! PROVE TO ME IT'S POSSIBLE!! :D

I never mentioned how high speed I reached with it. I decided not to after seeing Toronado and other 300mph madmen taking over :D anyhow, I shall give it a try.

But they never got back on their results, I read the following few pages of stuff, you all went back to the Group C monsters.

I've got the gearing set right for the upper gears (5th/6th), my main problem now lies in making sure I get a quick enough acceleration on the first 1000m to get a decent run-up speed before I hit the juice....which sucks and is annoying the crap out of me. :irked: I know if I get that extra 2-3km/h before I get to the bottle then I should get the 400km/h mark.

Just went and tried another 5 runs then, the worst being 396.52, and the best being 396.69. :ouch:

*added bit* It's now about 80 minutes later, and I've now got it up to 397.63km/h (247.08mph). Getting there slowly but surely. ;)

*added bit #2* 15 minutes since added bit #1, and the speed is now 398.04km/h (247.34mph). Less than 2km/h to go now!! :embarrassed:

*added bit #3* I fell asleep just after the second added bit....so 5hrs since then. Best speed up until that point was 398.08km/h (247.36mph). Have to readjust 4th/5th to get that extra k or two I need.

*added bit* #4!!* Had to do an oil change as I hit 200km on the odometer. Back on the track w/ different 5th/6th combo. Top speed on first run back.....now 398.45km/h (247.59mph). Less than 1mph to go for the 400km/h conversion!! :D

Come on guys, don't tell me I need to do this single handedly!! :irked:

Well until you do that you can watch my progress as I get ever closer squeegyman. :P

New speed = 398.49km/h (247.62mph). Only 1.51km/h (0.94mph) to go. :D So close to seeing 399km/h on the dial!!

*added bit #1* Make that now 398.85km/h (247.84mph). 1.15km/h (0.72mph) to go. ;) Seeing 399 is a relief, I thought I'd never get to that point, hit 398.49 another 4 times after that initial run, and .45, .43 & .48!! Hitting that launch point for NOS is the problem.

*added bit #2* I keep getting closer and closer and closer. Top Speed = 399.34km/h (248.15mph)!!! I think I've worked out how to keep the NOS on for longer due to the ratios of the gearbox, so I'm using what advantage I think I've gained right now while I'm still on this!!

*added bit #3* Now it's another 75 minutes, but didn't do much in that time. Top speed improvement to 399.45km/h (248.21mph). Only .55km/h or .34mph to go.

*added bit #4* Make that 399.48km/h (248.23mph). Oil change helped I think. :P

*added bit #5* 400 ON THE DIAL BOYS!! :D:D:D Top speed of 399.58km/h (248.29mph!!). Only .42km/h/.27mph to go for the official 400km/h.

The Integra DC5 could do it... i've been very close a while ago. In the SRT-4 I hit about 7km off. Not bad for 15 minutes tuning eh? I'll be back with the Integra later...

Edit: Found speed on the PC, was pretty close :mischievous:

DC5 Race Car has been claimed to be able to do it. DC5 Road Car is close too. Best I had was around the 392km/h mark including the 200kg of ballast aswell as only having 444hp (stage 5 turbo), but that same tune could get an 11.8 on the 1/4 mile aswell without touching a thing!!

I've improved more and more. 399.67km/h!! That's 248.35mph!! .33km/h or .21mph off the 400km/h club. And when I first started tuning I was at the 395km/h mark in about 2 runs.

Anyway, so close yet so far. Another 0.005 off the 6th gear should net me the final bit of a km/h. After I hit the 400km/h mark I will upload the photo and then give you all the specs so you too can hit the magical 400 mark!! :D

P.S. And I do have to say, I love seeing 400 on the dial!! :D:D:D:D:D:D

You won't be the only one...okay, if I get 400 in the Integra, i'll post up the settings too... when I get time :(. I'm not used to fine tuning cars like this, so i'll be a while yet. :indiff:

Sounds pretty cool, well done to mafia_boy so far. Im gonna get into this, try my luck at top speed tuning for a change. I got a question though, do we have to use the Top Speed even under power and speed or can we do multiple laps of the test course until we can get it up?
