I got a '05 Ford GT I've been messing around with, I think I'll use that.

My backup car is a SRT-10 Viper if thats eligible.

Well, if you think your own car stands a chance against the Zonda's and Viper's, go ahead. Though I suggest using a powerful (as in 400+bhp) car, like the BMW M5. My choice is an SLR for now, though I might choose the Zonda if I fail that.

That's funny man. I not really lol. just some fun as we both got garage's. Just to play around with this car, I'm going with a M3 GTR. and for a back up Z06 corvette.

I started to play around with a Ford GT, but I don't know. It's either understeer or violent oversteer. Not sure if I have the time to figure that thing out before the deadline.

For this competition, I'm going to need to find something else.

You can't just CALL a car. If someone else wants to tune against you with the same car, I say more power to them. 👍 And after reading the past two pages, this one sounds more along the lines of a tuner challenge comp than just a spot race challenge so I think it's more than fair.

All things considered though, I might chuck my Fatboy Phase 1 Supra tune on and have a crack at it and let ya's know (tune in earlier part of thread). It won't be the quickest but atleast you guys will get a target to reach for.

Well, I was intending there to be a different car for each person, to see how they stack up, but hey, if you really want to work against each other, go ahead...👍 And guys, I can get 7'16 with a stock SLR, and will go for 6'40 when I start to tune it, so that's a target. Hopefully you guys are effective tuners...

well i can get a 7'47 with an unmodified tvr cerbera.

Thats right, im sticking up for us brits! Breaking out the speed six.

I wont go crazy on mods, not looking for a record breaking time.

I think I'm going to keep it in the Blue Oval family and use a Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R as a primary. Its the car that I used to set my personal lap record at this track.

EDIT: got the Cobra R driving nicely and producing some decent times, probably not good enough to win though. My backup car is a '03 Callaway C12.

I'm surprised nobody thought of the Speed 12. I'd use it myself, but it has too much mileage to drive properly! I wish I knew my personal record though, it's somewhere around 5'15 with the FGT, but i've seen under 5 minutes...check out Youtube's ones . Good luck for tomorrow boys and girls 👍.

I do . I'm thinking of all those high-powered sports/concept cars, like the VW W12, Mercedes SLR, Cadillac Cien, etc...on the Nurburgring! Probably best to mention your choice of car though. You can tune as much as you like. Drivetrain cannot be 4WD (no ZZII haha), and you must use S3's. Won't be able to try a car myself 'till Friday night. How does that sound?

Ok boys and girls, i just ran 6'53.255 with my SLR, but it's a very bad lap. 6'45 is easily possible, but i'm still working on it... I will only give up if i'm not satisfied with the car...

I got the Cobra R down to 6:55.304 last night with an ok lap. A little more tweaking and I think under 6:50 is possible, maybe 6:45's.
