And it worked MUCH MUCH better on PSP. Like the video I posted somewhere (just search for GTPSP cockpit), the feeling is completely different e.g. When you are in a Yellowbird you can see the iconic Porsche hood and fenders, making you feel really in the car, different than the silhouette only.

This is how GT5 looks with the cam inside a standard car (in an old glitch then removed). Is orrible!

I think that there is hope and big chance that there will be no standard car.

Check the video on 18:18 where Kaz is choosing a car. There is not standard cars or premium cars option. The Nissans also don't have the P or the S icon.

That doesn't mean much, it was a small demo with a few cars so of course there would be no standard cars. There weren't any in GT5: Prologue either.

This is only a demo though, none of the GT5 demos had standards in and I don't think they had the S P thing, but i could be wrong...

Standards of GT6?

Thanks for sharing those pictures! This pretty much confirms that Standards are in GT6.

Not that I ever thought otherwise. 1200 Premiums was never possible in three years.

I'm looking forward to using the tablet features too.

That could also be a mock-up just to show off the app.

I doubt they will talk about standards any time soon.

They'll want to tell us all about the good stuff first.

I'd at least hope that the quality of the standards are upgraded if they are present in GT6.

Doesn't really matter to me but I'm hoping too. I'm interested in driving all them standards again with the new physics model.

There's also a "Category" selection in that garage screen. That could be where the Premium/Standard sorting is.
Probably. Although I'd rather prefer having all the cars in the same place. Absolutely hate(d) switching back and forth between the two categories. The favorite feature made it bearable though. Just mark them with a clear ''S'' and ''P'' and if necessary, add a S/P filter as well.

That's probably how they solved it.

It's the very same car, in different colors within the Recently Used category. It is also more than likely a Premium model since it's the GT Academy Nissan Leaf, hence the lack of S/P mark(?).

That Category thing can be also a category between, car sorts (road, sports, race, track etc)

GTPorsche, I am full aware about the standard cars, and I doubt they have finished 1200 cars all premium..

I just hope Jordan will post his Q&A today. He said there's MOSTLY good news about the standard/premium issue.

Is it just me or does that 400R look better than the model in GT5?

From that distance and resolution it's impossible to tell although If I had to guess I'd say it's identical to what we have.

The "mostly" part worries me more than it soothes me.

I didn't use standard cars in GT5 and I won't in GT6 either. This pretty much eliminates the PS4 version of the game as well, because in no way will there be PS2 models in a PS4 game, or will there? Haha, with PD you never know.

If standard cars will indeed be in GT6 (which seems to be most likely) they've managed to give us not one, but TWO incomplete games on the PS3. And as if that wasn't embarrassing enough, they are gonna release the second game at the very end of PS3's life. Congratulations Kaz and PD.

Why are they so god damn focused on car count instead of quality and consistency? Trying to know how PD thinks is almost more difficult than knowing how to please a woman.

I have no problem with the vast majority of standards remaining standards. I'd rather resources be spent on creating new cars, tracks, gameplay enhancements etc. as opposed to turning multiple old models of Skylines, S2000's, RX-7's etc. into premiums. A few iconic cars like the original Lamborghini Countach, original 240Z etc. would be nice to have with premium status, but the vast majority should stay as standards as they are little used cars to begin with and it's a waste of money and resources to update them.

Time is money and resources are limited. There is much more to work on for GT6 than turning older cars that are little used into rolling masterpieces.

Agreed, I never knew about that but that's actually true.

Also thanks to my testings in GT5, I know the standards aren't going to be bothersome to me.

I agree, but some of us would rather not have them in the game at all and keep the experience more consistent.

It's stupid to keep slightly different sub/year models of a premium car as standard just so it can show up in the used car lot though. The used car lot shouldn't just be for standards, and all duplicates of a premium should also be updated to premium... really, how much time can it take. That 400R for example, it has different wheels (GT6 needs way more wheel choices anyway), a slightly different body kit, and a few simple decals. It shouldn't still be standard only!
