Standard cars in GT6?

What do you mean by this???:boggled:

He says there are more cars in GT5 than in other racing games, even if dupes aren't count in. I don't know wich games he's refering to, though, maybe TDU? It has a pretty poor amount of cars available IMO.

About standards in GT6, I really don't know what to think, I want all cars in a high quality tho I know PD's Staff is still too small to redo most of the standards from GT5 into a 'premium' like quality...(given that release will be somewhere in between 1 to 2 years from now).

On the other hand I don't want to miss a car I loved in 5 if it doesn't make it into GT6, but I guess this is a price to pay for many of us.

if there are going to be standard cars in GT6, ill burn down the PD offices

Please don't bother buying the game instead if that ever happens to be the case; there are people in this world who support PD...even if there might be standard cars in GT6.

Here's the deal

Standard cars - No GT6 for me
No better sounds - No GT6 for me
No improved AI - No GT6 for me
No better car selection - No GT6 for me

and so on... , GT6 has to be PERFECT or I won't buy it, sorry Kaz and PD

Now please, this time, people, PLEASE, do not pre-order the damn thing, Let's give PD a lesson and wait for GT6 to hit the stores and rent it, Do not give away money, if you think it's good enough after renting it, then buy it.

Do you want GT to be the next COD franchise?

GT6 perfect? Methinks you're just warming up to a massive rant regardless, and kindly warning us in advance. :P

GT doesn't have to be "perfect", as long as it stays away from cynical practices and game design (which might actually mean not doing certain things the "community" wants), it shouldn't have to suffer the same fate that CoD has (although it is incredibly successful...)

To answer the OP, I would accept standards ONLY if they are the opponents, I don't care as it is if they are premium/standard opponents, as long as the user's car is premium and our selections are premium only.

It helps with on track/race processing, as noted earlier with the Forza pictures, which I thought was a standard practice with all racing games.

We already have that with Premium cars. There's a super high-resolution (is the the correct term?) used for photomode, and then there's a downscaled version used for races. And, FWIW, there's no interior view in AI cars. Unless you want a super downscaled model as well, which would not make any sense at all given that GT6 should, by default, have even better graphics (making Standard cars really stand out), and, if PD were smart, use less processing power at the same time.

I don't mind having the Premium and the Standard car categories, but to tell you the truth I really don't see the point of why they have to be separated. I feel like it's just there so it is easier to find cars. Wouldn't mind seeing it stay, but wouldn't mind seeing it go.

Uh, because the standard cars are terrible quality in comparison to the premium cars and they can't do as much. They're relics from the PS2 era.

If GT6 is going to be on PS4 as is most likely then standard cars cannot exist, simple as that. One generation old car models was pushing it, there is no way they can get away with two generation old models in their game.

GT6 should therefore have cars all of the same quality and no need for any branding, they'll just be the cars.

This I agree with.

I don't want standard cars.
We need a poll :)

Do we? It just seems to make no sense to keep standards in gt6.

As Simon had posted they would be 2 generations down on a new gen system it makes no sense.

Umm. N.O. to standard cars thanks. I doubt we'll see them again anyway, since Kaz and PD were heavily criticized for it, so no more standard cars. YAY!!!!

We might get alot more cars but they look crap so we should just have premium cars only in gt6 I will still buy it but will be extremely upset with PD

Worst idea was to include Standard cars in the first place, best idea was to separate them into different garage sections so that they can be ignored or don't pollute my pristine Premium selection.

My Premium section is like a well organized, spic-and-span, living room.
My Standard car section is like a messy cupboard in desperate need of being cleared out.

I mean, there are plenty of cars that I couldn't care less about being standard (cars such as Honda Accord or something). But cars like Saleen S7, Bugatti Veyron, Pagani Zonda, Countach, etc really should be premium...

I don't see standard cars making the jump to GT6, and with that I expect a drop in the overall car numbers which I am fine with.

It was truly lazy of PD yes. I for one think tha GT5 took so long because of the time it took to create cars for it (Citroen GT,ISF Concept, X1 and few others) rather than creating 1000 cars like we thought :/

I do not mind standards but the game feels less..err..complete. in GT4 it was nice to have almost ALL cars in the dealerships with equal detail..felt complete that way and wayy better to look at without the gaps in detail like GT5 has.

Gt5 took so long because they had to make a complete new game because of the ps3. GT6 will be made out of GT5.

I doubt it, the cars wont be imported to premiums, they will be jsut deleted from the game. This is what I think is gonna happen.

probably they will add new premiums (some of popular standard cars become premium) because maybe they think its just waste of time if work for old cars

The only cars that were purely designed for GT5 were the X1 and the karts (and the RM and TC alterations of existing cars), the Citroën GT was a collaboration between PD and Citroën (and exists in real life) although the design work was done by Citroën (and perhaps the GT5-only raceversion is too) and the IS-F Concept is a concept by Lexus themselves (which also exists in real life) which PD had no involvement in.
Furthermore I doubt it takes that much more time (or at all) to design a car versus completely modelling an existing one.

The only thing that I would be missing from standards is that some of the coolest cars in the game might be axed... just like what happened when we moved from GT2 to GT3... :scared:

I hope enough of them get through the roster cut... :nervous:
