STORAGETRUNKS GT3 SERIES - SLS AMG - 90 Minute Race Series- Monday Nights 19:00 UK- FREE SPOTSFinished

I'm out for the Suzuka race unfortunately, on a nightshift at work!

Will still practice as and when I can though and hopefully get a few practice races in.

Also @BenMillard yeah it is probably my connection (partly - psn servers too!) that can be partly to blame however it is what it is, I'm not too fussed about it. Yes it's annoying when / if I get dc'd but truth be told I enjoy the racing regardless of how long. If it starts affecting others races though, I need to know and then I'll call it a day 👍

It is always nice to finish a race though. I feel good enough to give G4 a good run for their money most days! If I can sort my consistency I feel I'm in with a shout for podiums too which is really nice

or ok, no tht way: ask BenMillard #738 if good or bad
besides, oft i dont understand too. not about of meaning, but about "why?", timing, ... i dont like that how i do turn myself to paranoid noob. better, how any of situations pushing me to. example: ive just posted test result, then saw strange quote, why was ok #738 then? this were ment just like a reaction, dunno if bad or good, simply network conn. probably not well extra top result, obviously

Wow, that was a tricky one! If only my clothes dried out of the washing machine as fast as Suzuka dried towards the end!

I crashed in avoidance of early braking at Casio Triangle on lap 1. Should have anticipated the cars ahead defending but thought there might be space to the side. I'd rather ruin my own race than hit another racer so at least the 'avoiding' part worked.

Ruined my race again by changing tyres 1 lap later than the optimum and picking IM when the track was rapidly getting wetter. Had to pit after one very squirmy lap to get HW.

Fairly pleased with my recovery drive from that point on. From dead last to mid pack. A few more crashes and varying concentration levels. I ended up within sight of @GTP_Jonjig and @TheGrinReaper towards the end due to changing to RH at just the right lap and easing the pace back up.

Did my best lap towards the end, 2m01.1 with a fair bit of fuel still left as I'd brimmed it earlier on.

congratulations to other participants, but exclude me. to be honest, i just need to admit that, i am slowly gonna start to feel sick of myself at all. sorry of that but its truth, can't help myself. as i see, how some things going on during last weeks... well, what does rest then? could be fun though, if i'd be "able" to go over some odd troubles. however, sometimes, life turns to Russian roulette, where i can only pray for a empty barrel.... unfortunately.
also i know, i must look like a crying childish person, yep, exactly. it currently fits to me. i dont mind, or i mind a bit. just can't change it by my own. cheers anyway, i am not the only one poorest human around the world, i am not alone, who are mud covered.

about Suzuka:
i came in just for fun, no flattering myself too much. just equally to my skill level - medium. but i didn't wanted this, real disaster. pretty uncomfortable way i've got surprised myself. heavily underestimated new situation, where weather is set on. after a start, still almost okay, never mind. chasing richroo ahead of me then. then starts rain i see, whipers on, just for good effect. track still totally dry as i know -usually. then 1st surprisingly unwanted slip of rear wheels, partially due 'poor' graphic of ps3. no obvious visual warning about water on a tarmac, just small % in a corner, who do checking it all time? ok, i adjust pace and heading to pit. dunno why, but i keep their offer: intermediate and/but/ none of fuelling, had enough yet. maybe sooner, than ive done another lap, i realized that was my huge mistake. like i am an rookie, which dont know that, if already start rain and 100%, it will take a long period, maybe till to finish! total magoo! what a dilema then, another pit stop?! no way, lets see whats possible with this one.... okay, another huge amount of laps until my blindfolded eyes see, that was bad pick. loses a lot. so i entering pit sooner than i did count before, because of slow lap, and ive took heavy wet (just i said to myself, i bet it will dry in next lap, i know that) my guardian Angel was actually home, so i race almost proper pace, satisfying enough for some time. then "rocket dryer" Sahara's wind arrive to Japan island. but i know well, never mind it's 0% while one lap done, i kept my heavy wet. anyway, out of ideal pace it keep still water and slippery enough, and my tyres 10front 10rear, still enough of fuel. maybe it will work, finish line relatively too soon, for do 3rd pit stop or??? and as can some of you agree, i've turn to moving obstacle. only hurry up to go from pace line, since i see anybody behind me approaching. so i finished, like a "proud hero" don quiotte de la panza on a heavy wet tyres 3front 5rear with an average time around 2m 10-13s per lap. blessing a tactical f.....ight!!!

so call Guinness, i was worst of worse that evening. all did some very unlucky choices, then asap fix them, only i tried deffend them and kept them so long, electricity shortcut! also irrelevant that, richroo were behind me, because he was cooking his tea or anything else, flirting with these gals in pit, which hold an umbrellas until start and make them two, three new japan/UK citizens while i did seriously torturing myself at one of the most TECHNICAL circuit of the world!!
awwww
..............e maria.

edit: while i did wrote all of this my b****s, read them again and trying to fix all errors for best accuracy of expressing myself within a strange language, it partially lift my mood up. so i hope that, u'll find it, if not educative, then at least bit funny :D
i cant fall asleep anyway, i got an "ringing bells" in my ears and a mess in my head. thank you very much, you - my D.N.A.
also i got idea, suggestion about my brand new nick name: sure you know some giant movie creatures "incredible hulk" or when race in japan, there has "Godzilla" or "Gappa"... so what about then if my nick: Peewee 'incredible-GAPEnator' PetrH ??!

I had a very exciting time.

Well done to Aug, amazing speed throughout, as we expect i guess.

The SlS seems quite manageable for me in even 100% wet even with Tc off.

At the start i managed to get away ahead of the G4 guys, and guessed that as i was the slowest of that group they would be hounding me quickly, but i think there must have been a few mistakes as they were gradually dropping away behind.
Grin, and Richie were close but by driving just under my max i was able to not make any mistakes, and it seemed that as they started closing in on me then they would make an error and drop back again. I passed John Hep and was in the lead.

Around 25 minutes it started to rain softly and gradually increase, so it was going through 30% quite quickly.
I decided to pit on the next lap, but the track was up to 45% half way round and suddenly i had no grip on RH, so lost quite a chunk of time on that lap.

I am not sure but i think Richie pitted a lap earlier, and that was probably the correct timing for tyres, however i went in and went straight to full wets and added 30 litres fuel, track at 65% by this time.

On full wets driving offline my car was pretty good, but required max concentration.

Richie changed to wrong tyres as a lap later he was crawling along and i passed him to go into the lead again.

Grin was closing up at some points and dropping away at others, and i could see Aug and Jon gradually coming toward me, but i guessed steady laps at 2.19 2.18 would work if i didnt mess up.

And i didnt, and so if i remember Aug caught and passed me around 20 minutes to go, the rain was just stopping and the track drying out fast.

With 15min to go i pitted for RH and came out in 3rd behind Grin who had stopped a lap or 2 earlier.

On Rh now and it felt like being on RS after the wet, i managed low 2 01s for quite a few laps and gradually closed Grin down, and he seemed very slow on the final lap and made a mistake at turn 1 and i passed him and finished second.

The weather made it very exciting for me, and really worked in my favor as i went to the correct tyres at the right times luckily.
In many race sim tests we did it either didn't rain or started raining at around 65 minutes, but although having changeability on x13 means the track dries out very quickly, it also means that the climate goes through cycles faster and generally ensures that if it does rain, it does not stay there for the entire race.

i truly liked the race yesterday !
heavy rain was just great , i'm happy of my wet pace with one hand , my best was a 2.14.5** at 100%.
managed to run 3 or 4 laps no higher than 2.14.7 but again and again when i reached people i started to do some stupid mistakes , avoided lots of spins by slowing down to 40km/h.
congrats to those who stayed on track !
