I've just been trying a few cars at Seattle - I like the idea of Holden SS vs Monaro or the new Shelby (can't remember its exact name).

I've just been trying a few cars at Seattle - I like the idea of Holden SS vs Monaro or the new Shelby (can't remember its exact name).

"series 1" is the name you're probably thinking of.

i love seattle personally, and would dig a race there. as long as its not the reverse direction... track is significantly less fun that way.
a good classic suggestion for seattle would be the Ford GT street car.
or if we wanted to be super classic (by that i mean GT2 license test), we do the gt40.

I've found that when using arcade cars, they're a little better to drive around without increasing the available horsepower... Instead of tuning them up 20% with horsepower, just do the 10% weight decrease, or maybe only a 10% hp increase...? Anyone know what I'm talking about? Maybe I'm just imagining it...

Well, with certain cars for sure I'm not imagining it,(usually on sports tires), like the ones that are already too wild even without any weight decrease or power increase, ala Ruf Yellow Bird and others.

I'd really like to see another multi-lap race, like the 10 laps at Suzuka a couple of weeks ago and the 2 lap Motegi....maybe something in between though? 10 was a little long and 2 is way to short IMO. I like seattle as some people have been hinting to, also autumn ring (the long one). Even though I hate it, Tsukuba seems like something people want.

If we really wanted to get people frustrated, a multi lap RALLY race would be ridiculous  . (can't believe I just said that...please ignore)

Multilap races are fun, as long as they are not too long. I think a number between 3 laps and 5 laps is the optimum amount 👍

Also, I like them better with no tire wear and possibly on a track where you can get rid of all the AI for good before the first turn, but that's asking too much :D ;)

Anyway - anything is good as long as it doesn't involve dirt or snow or ice or a combination of these last two...

5 Laps around Chamniox (sp), in the Escudo Pikes Peak.

Now, that would see who really is committed!

What about taking the F1 around Seattle?!

i think maybe next week we could try toyota minolta cv race car around opera paris with no tcs or asm and fully quick tuned :)

seriously how about peagot 205 rally car at midfeield reverse

I think this is a great choice for next week

The Car: Castrol Tom's Supra (No turbo upgrades)

The Track: Midfield I (gt mode)

Super Soft Tires.

Some of you might have seen this before :sly:

well, i´ll post a different suggestion: about the leaderboard.

its been down lately, and i think it could be simplified.

3 divisions, a CART world series point system (don´t know if champ car still uses that).

but i´m willing to even work on this, if CFM and the drivers like the idea... 20 points for the win, 16, 14, 12, so on, just like CART. it would be another way to MAKE PEOPLE WANT TO SUBMIT A TIME EVEN WHEN THEY ARE NOT AT THEIR BEST, just to give continuity to a "championship".

i really think its a good idea, and i even have a scheme to work with drivers been promoted... which could validated this standings...

something simple, easy... just a thing that i think its missing... i like the current leaderboard, and hope flat out doesn´t take this as an offense, but sometimes i think it is a little confusing...

anyway, if anyone is interesting, i can give an example, just by getting last 10 week´s results, to give an idea of how it will work... i´ll post this one soon...

any thoughts? CFM, flat out or anyone?

There could be a downside to that, some people cant race certain weeks, for example exams, work or holidays? I like the suggestion though make people submit their times!! :)
For example as for me i got 2 tests coming up this week and the next, what will i be doing???
Playing GT of course :P

ok, lets explain better: its not to force anyone to something, but to reward those who are always submitting... we can also have a ratio, so we can compare our performance based on how many races we´ve been...

'Some' might have seen it but certainly not many. That was the first race posted by Kent as the WRS steward 1.5 year ago.
Could be nice to compare the original times (GT3 WRS week 53) with the times we can achieve now (er, 'we' means 'some of us' and doesn't necessarily include 'me' :sly: )

Can we change that to Arcade Mode? :D
Please?

And also to whatever racing Supra's are available?
That would keep more options open...

everyweek i said to myself: "i have to spend less time reading forums and racing" but everyweek the combo is more challenging to me... the way i´m "forced" :) to play more, this week we will be running in seattle or george paris...

in a jaguar XJ220 LM or something close to that...

A XJ220 LM on George V is slightly insane.....

How about, the 190E Touring Car (arguably the best car in the game, well my favorite, and that's all that matters), around Apricot Hill (Without a doubt, the best track in the game).
In Arcade mode; no mods; Racing Mediums; Time Trial.

I'd like the Castrol Supra @ Midfield one. The Castrol Supra has been in GT from the start as has Midfield Raceway. The Supra is one of the most iconic cars from the GT series. We gotta have it!!

Has everyone purchased their Interceptor yet?

I have a funny feeling you're all going to need one real soon here...;)

I'm gonna keep posting nice things about it until we get to race it.

Of course w/my luck Kent/CFM will pick a really nasty track/setup restrictions for it

UMP

seattle
route 5
seoul
autumn ring mini

i can´t remember exactly, but looks like we didn´t do midfield...

but seattle... that would be a love-hate for sure depending on the car... oh, those bumps...

how about that jaguar 220 LM?
or
a good rally car on tarmac? lets say any impreza?
or
something british, like lister storm 👍

just to throw some ideas... to keep the thread busy 👍

You win it in the 24 hrs Nurb.ring endurance race :)

As for tips for the WRS. Why not do a race with one of the oldtimers :sly:

OMG! I can't believe you don't have one yet! You gotta get it!

F1 in the WRS would be a blast...maybe at Tokyo Route 246?

I've advanced about 10% in GT mode since the start of the WRS :P
