*Yes, I'm being boring and carrying everything over from Season 1...
**I'm determined to be the one who claims the title for Honda despite the apparent advantage of the Nissans!

I'm beginning to wonder if picking the Caddy was a wise idea; the template has no layers, just one big car template to paint. With GIMP or Paint.net, all I'm seeing is one layer... Boy oh boy, this is definitely not a car I can paint right away, it's a good thing I have a vast contact list of painters. :boggled:

For once, I'm not the one having that sort of problems, it's fine on my end.

I could probably help out with yours then, if that's of interest?

I also approve of how they all (atleast the GT3 cars) seem to come not just with .X for carviewer, but a total of three different ways of seeing the 3d model in realtime. Why was this not a thing about a year ago?

Just download the numberplates, the font is packed together with it

Are you using GIMP as well or Paint.net, morten? I open the .psd file and that's all I see, one white layer with the wireframe but no other layers.

Even the .x file is not showing tires on my Carviewer, to help my one big issue (but then again my PC just can't render anything in Carviewer without making it super blurry, so)... I can accept the help, but then again I also want to know what's the cause for this "lack of layers" thing.

The layers and everything shows up perfectly well on my Paint.net, but you're right in saying some things are missing on the .x, though most of it is just details. I'm curious as to why it's decided my doors should be permanently black, but eh, if nothing else, I have the Steam version and can do my things with that.

Well, for the sake of reference, this is what I see in my Paint.net;
Caddy issues.png

The livery is there (which is more than what can be said about GIMP), but as you can also see, there's no additional layers. The .x thing is weird, but not as weird as this... :boggled:

The template that I have is perfectly fine when I open it in Photoshop... I didn't use the template from the OP, but it should be the same exact one.

Ya dumdum, it's because it's not actually the .psd. Not quite sure, but it seems to me like it's meant to be used for reflections of a very specific livery.

Then I'm stumped, 'cause I don't know what to do here. The .psd file has no additional layers, the .tga (the file in the screenshot I posted thinking it was the .psd) isn't the one I need to use...

Christ, this demands a recall (yeah I went there). :boggled:

This is why I stopped using paint.net. The .PSD plugin for it is horrible because pdn doesn't support Alpha channels (or any channels for that matter) so it just assumes that it's a layer itself. The single layer thing to me however is strange since I've had to do many liveries in pdn before I got Photoshop. Are you sure it's a .PSD file and not a .DDS?

I can at least be sure that the body file isn't a .dds, the only file of that type for the car template is the grille one. The body has two different files, one .psd and one for Paint.net.

@Niku Driver HC The pic you opened was a tga. :embarrassed:

Hmmmm... if anyone else could upload their template then we could narrow it down to either a template problemo or just on your end... very odd.

Too late for that, the Danish Bear found that mistake of mine out first. :sly:

Yes, perhaps @GTRacer22 can upload the template he used for his car, given that he said it worked just fine, if it is a different one from the OP template that is.

I tried to open the template in both GIMP and paint.net and it was just 1 layer.

I also checked to see if the template from the GTR2 EEC add on ATS would work and those templates don't match.
