This race is going to be very exciting. Just trying to run laps without spinning out is a hair raising challenge for me and I can only imagine how it will be with a track full of cars trying to find the best line without getting stuck in the kitty litter. And having to deal with lapped or spun out traffic on track is going to be tough.
Sounds like I'm in for a fun time!
Any early indication of what lap times will be? When I was able to stay on track I managed to run one high .57 lap. I'm going to assume the fast guys will be running .54 laps.

No STC race this week but JT is doing some DTM stuff.
Next weeks STC race will be on Thursday at the usual time. I'm not sure if I have the day off but I am going to request it today. If I'm not available I'll ask a backup to host the race for me.
I'm off to work, pics and updated results will be up tonight when I get off of work.
Also, Scorpion JUST DO IT!
GT5 is meant to be played with a steering wheel. It is just so much more involving.

I really didn't like that track until I put in some time with the DTM M3. I REALLY like that track now. I have one stumbling block and that's the chicane. I had a blast with the testing and can't wait for Thursday!

I lose all my time in the second sector. The chicane is hell. Like Mike said its almost a controlled slide through it.

most of the second sector is a controlled slide for me but the car has front down force which makes it fun.

There is no penalty for cutting the chicane or doing whatever you need to do to get through it.

Bo with ncr and JT close on his heels
Mike and cB having an epic battle
JT slams the wall due to um distractions at home apparently
The phantom bump
Unfortunately, not so phantom for Bo. His car reacts as if hit and slams into the wall. NCR jumps into the lead.
Brett and I wrasslin' all over the track. This was a great race with battles all over the track.
Another shot of the intense battling going on at Madrid
cB capitalizes on a mistake to take the lead in his battle with Mike
So close yet so far
I'm getting into Brett pretty hard on this turn!

cB just smoking up his tires trying to keep up with NCR
Envy in the lead after pit stops by the leaders. If only he could have executed his no pit strategy, who knows what would have happened.
Alas, he had to pit
Mike finally getting the upper hand on cB
Mike catches up to NCR but NCR hogs up the track enough to pull of his first ever STC win! Great Job!
Great race guys, thanks to everybody that made it and apologies to those who couldn't be there. Hope to see a full track next week at Suzuka!

No, if we had mics on you would have heard me laughing my ass off. I already know that you're not trying to ram me from the track and some bumping is to be expected, especially on this course. I had a blast and I hope I didn't get into you to hard.
And I'm glad you liked the pics. I had them uploaded on my picasa album since Monday night but it was hard finding time to post them all in this thread.

Great pics DJ! I know I could have made the distance without a pit stop but in testing my times dropped into the 36's by the end of 25 laps. I couldn't have held off NCR with those times. I really don't like FF and racing by myself......and this race involved them both. I hope to do better with MR. I'm going to fight the urge to use the Lotus.
