only a few people can use the app. How does this make you feel?

  • It makes me feel cheated. PD should make the app available for everyone.

  • I have an iPad, it works for me, so meh. I don't care about the whiners.

  • I guess I feel sad about it, I really wanted to try it.

  • Looks like I'm getting a tablet..

  • All this time I was hyped for this feature. Now I'm unsure anout my future and Gran Turismo.

  • ??? What do you mean not all of us can use the app?

  • I'll just emu it when it works. I really don't care that much.

  • Meh!

  • If it comes to other devices, I'll be really glad. I want to use my smartphone and/or PC.

I can do that too since I have android, I also like to see and try out what other people make since I'm not very good at creating good tracks.

I'm guessing the tablet capability is all about item placement and screen size.
On today's smartphones all the UI would be cramped.

That's absolutely worthless. Utter garbage.
Bit of an overreaction to being able to share a track on a game, no?
You want to make your own track, not race somebody else's.
In your opinion.
Other people's stuff is always garbage compared to your own
In your opinion.
even if it isn't; you know you always have the most fun on your tracks.

I think you need to relax a bit.

There's little reason as to why it should be exclusive to tablet. I expect it to also be available on PS3.

Doing a little compairison here, but when Battlefield 4 was released, they had this commander mode, which pretty much just allowed you to interact with players that were currently playing the game on a console/PC, whilst you were on a tablet. DICE advertised the crud out of the app, but the same basic mode was offered on the platform of the actual game as well, almost like another game mode.

I can't imagine that course maker would be for tablets and tablets only. One would think they would have some sort of feature added to the game itself. Just take a look at the main menu on GT6. They could easily fit another mode icon, say where the GT Acadamy mode was located.

I pray that I'm right with this, or else, PD really has become horrible with marketing.

You can get a tablet for less than £40. It is also possible to run android apps on a PC within Chrome.

It's not the end of the world.
Wow.. What a blind comment. Not all computers have GPS. And why would you bring your computer on a roadtrip just to make a track anyway? :banghead:

Read my post above. Everyone who really wants to and has a PC made in the last 3-5 years should be able to use it, even if it's tablet exclusive. Android emulation isn't too difficult to set up.

Android - but what about iOS?

Good for you @acascianelli:banghead:

Fffffffuuuu why don't they support iPhone 6 Plus at the very least. :banghead:

Would it work if we have like the new Samsung galaxy 6, or the new Samsung Note. I mean it is a advanced phone. But I'm in the same boat. No tablet, but we can rely on the community feature which is always cool. Can't wait to take photos on it

The thing is, one of the big draws of console gaming over pc gaming is its plug and play nature. Stuff just works, no fluffing around with drivers and settings and compatibility.

If this feature requires someone to dive into emulating Android on another system just to use it, that's a big step back. That shouldn't be necessary, especially not for what was a flagship feature, at least to start with.

You guys realize that you can download apps that are for tablets on an iPhone and vice versa.
Really? How? It says here it is only available on iPad. Not iPhone.

Just go to your local store check out a tablet(for me it would be Best Buy....they got free WiFi), download the APP,sign in PSN, create track, tell guy at "best buy" I'm just checking it out, save track, and then say "I'll be back tomorrow!" (lol)

I've left a few tablets on the GTplant website for people to see!

Why would you need iOS emulation for the course maker app, if it works with Android?

While I agree with you, if it's really not running from inside the game, I guess there's a reason for that.
Maybe the PS3's RAM just isn't enough. Also, installing a virtual Android device on your PC is easy.
Andy OS for example comes with everything needed, you install it, launch it and log in with your Google account, done (okay, you might need to enable an option in the BIOS, but that's done in 2 minutes).

This will also make it possible to work with a mouse and on your PC monitor, which even beats having to fiddle with a gamepad.

Eeehh...I have an Ipad, and a smartphone, and you can just run android apps in chrome. My guess is that trying to run the course maker in game was causing it to crash, so I'll take this over nothing any day.
