only a few people can use the app. How does this make you feel?

  • It makes me feel cheated. PD should make the app available for everyone.

  • I have an iPad, it works for me, so meh. I don't care about the whiners.

  • I guess I feel sad about it, I really wanted to try it.

  • Looks like I'm getting a tablet..

  • All this time I was hyped for this feature. Now I'm unsure anout my future and Gran Turismo.

  • ??? What do you mean not all of us can use the app?

  • I'll just emu it when it works. I really don't care that much.

  • Meh!

  • If it comes to other devices, I'll be really glad. I want to use my smartphone and/or PC.

If you have an iPad (not a mini) or an 8 inch tablet you can't get the app, its going from being pissed off and annoyed at the stupid noncommon sense to trolling twitter towards Kaz and the PD's Twitter

You can get a tablet for less than £40. It is also possible to run android apps on a PC within Chrome.

It's not the end of the world.
Who cares? Why do i need to spend 40 GBP first to use an editor? This is just ridiculous.

What is the PS3 for? You have a big tv, a nice gaming console, but you have to make the tracks on a small tablet? makes absolutely sense.

What a fail!

All iOS and Android devices and all computers with flash should be able to use this feature. I mean hello, GT5 had remote races from a browser, so why not make the CM browserbased too? Can't be that much more complicated.

Doing with a tablet is much complicated than doing with a computer, so, why not installing this feature which allows us to create tracks through Computer too? :(

Idk why this decision was made this way, I have a Samsung s6, and I do believe it's specs are more than the app need some to run, 8 core cpu, and a great gpu too, not to mention a 1440p screen.

I could see why needing a tablet for an essential part of the game would be rage-inducing, but lets be honest here, we're talking about a feature that will probably occupy a small amount of the total playtime of GT6. Sure, some people will use it more, some less, but it's not like you have to have it to play the game.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to be able to use it, but I'm not going off the deep end because I can't create a custom track. As others have mentioned, some previous games have course makers, so I'd probably just make one on there is I wanted to make something bad enough.

That being said, I do hope that some sort of web-based creator comes within the next month. I find it hard to believe that any marketing team would allow an app to only run a specific number of tablets, in a limited number of locations.

I'll probably wait for news on a version that can be run on PC or something. If nothing comes, I ain't gonna shoot myself in the foot. Life goes on, deal with it.

Welcome to world of hype trains: setting yourself up for disappointment with a single mention of the word "soon."

Something else, though no specific to tablets, that is not being mentioned...
Once you make a map, according to the official release, it needs to be uploaded to your PSN account then downloaded onto your PS3 for play, through the GT6 community stuff. The key thing here though, is uploaded to your PSN account. Correct me if I am wrong, but only people with PSN Plus accounts have cloud storage right? So, in order to get your track, not only do you need a tablet, but a PSN plus account as well?

B.K

Ha, name a £40 tablet that works with this app and i'll get one !

Works for me. The touch-screen interface is a natural way of editing for me, and a phone is too small in the screen department.

The app supports up to 10km of track, and that means a lot of detail can be included requiring a decent sized screen.

If it was restricted to PCs, then I'd be unhappy since I don't have one.

PC would make it available to millions of more people though. You're a huge exception with not owning a normal computer. Heck, most people I know who own tablets have one of the Samsung Galaxies which don't seem to work, so this is just really, really close to a worst case scenario.

Honestly, does it really matter if it's a tablet only thing?
Sure, a track creator/editor is cool and all, but is it really worth getting this worked up over?

Anyone who wants it on PC just get Bluestacks and you get get it from the Android version.

problem is the android version isn't working right now, but when it does everyone can do it from their PC.
I thought so too yesterday, but neither BlueStacks nor Andy OS are supported by this app.
The Android version seems to work, but only on very few selected tablets.

It was one of the key features when GT6 was announced, so yes?

They are, you just have to search it manually through google.

But the app is down, it just says it's not available in your country(To any country).

I'd like to know which tablets are compatible with the app as well, the cheapest iPad mini 2 is around $270. If there is a way to do this on a pc, I would rather spend the money on a new pc/ laptop. Right now my iPhone 5 is my computer, my pc is outdated and can not be updated.
I'd say that the ipad mini wouldn't be compatible due to the screen size

As my samsung tablet is almost on par with the ipad mini if not "better" it the samsung has more ram and same processor be it 0.01 different so I am i assume it would be screensize issue, as some phones these days hands down outdo some if not most tablets.

No, after a compatibility check it strictly states it's not compatible with the device (when you look it up via browser).

I think the issue isn't the product itself, its mostly the presentation of it, I like most people have stopped playing GT6 and was waiting for something like this as the abilty to create tracks not in the game based of real life tracks was a great thing, but alas its again been misintroduced and made.

This is incredibly frustrating. Nexus 7 and Note 10.1 (2014) not compatible!

Nah. I bet my ten bucks that it won't work in Bluestacks when it is "working".

Yes, it is worth it imo. This featured has been highly anticipated since it was mentioned by Kaz back in 2012/2013

Poor presentation or not, it's quite ridiculous how many people are getting angry over such a minor feature
