only a few people can use the app. How does this make you feel?

  • It makes me feel cheated. PD should make the app available for everyone.

  • I have an iPad, it works for me, so meh. I don't care about the whiners.

  • I guess I feel sad about it, I really wanted to try it.

  • Looks like I'm getting a tablet..

  • All this time I was hyped for this feature. Now I'm unsure anout my future and Gran Turismo.

  • ??? What do you mean not all of us can use the app?

  • I'll just emu it when it works. I really don't care that much.

  • Meh!

  • If it comes to other devices, I'll be really glad. I want to use my smartphone and/or PC.

It is all beside the point isn't it ? All you should need to use a feature that was supposed to be included in GT6 originally is : 1 x PS3 and 1 x GT6 game ? They do like to burn their fans and make enemies eh ?

Exactly my feelings, PD is trolling with us that have paid for a complete game and almost 2 years later we need a external device to play a feature that should be in tha game in first place, like I've said before, for me GT as ended.

Says "*This app is available exclusively for tablet devices. It does not work on smart phones."

And it doesn't wok on my HTC One M8
Doesn't seem to be available for any Android device at the moment. No harm trying out APK when it is available to download on phone to see what happens.

When someone finds a compatible tablet, can you tell me? I'm 90% sure I have a working emulator environment but I can't find a compatible device.

I'd like to know which tablets are compatible with the app as well, the cheapest iPad mini 2 is around $270. If there is a way to do this on a pc, I would rather spend the money on a new pc/ laptop. Right now my iPhone 5 is my computer, my pc is outdated and can not be updated.

Wow.. What a blind comment. Not all computers have GPS. And why would you bring your computer on a roadtrip just to make a track anyway? :banghead:
And is making a track from GPS data a feature of the app?

So like many here, I've not got the right gear - the sony phone doesn't cut it, and the old samsung tablet doesn't either.
But, what might is the rather splendid Android emulator(DuOS) I've just installed (and in fact am in now) on my laptop.

Being Australia, not sure if it's this setup or just "not my country's turn yet" (tm), but if I follow the link in the news article I get a not available in your country, and can't find the app by searching normally...

I'm working through this, but if this works it's a major win, as there are apps and websites out there that create GPX data from Google maps that are easy to use in Windows/Laptops, and then, with a deft flick I'll be map making on my fake'let.

I'll keep you posted...

So, at end of this ordeal, it has been a long wait for nothing. Actually, a long wait for LESS than nothing since GT5 had the course maker at launch without the need for extra hardware.

Gt6 is a shining example of terrible game direction, user disrespect, and a complete lack of understanding for the term brand loyalty.

Shameful.

Shameful indeed. I wasn't even glad when I heard the news CM was coming yesterday, and possibly only for tablets. I didn't even smile. I was disappointed, and I keep sighing. I'm seriously considering getting myself a cheap china tablet though.

When I go to the browser, I have this same message. But when I go to Play Store inside the Bluestacks, I have the message "This app is not available in your country". Maybe it is a matter of time to be able to run it in Bluestacks and/or smartphones. At least, I hope...

I don't think you can state that as a fact just yet....

Well, if I can get the app working in this emulator, I'm going to be stung $15Au, which I can happily live with.

All Emulators are giving the same message....

To be honest, it makes me feel ridiculous, because my tablet's version isn't compatible with the application. In GT5, we can create tracks via PS3, but why not on GT6, too? I want to be able to create rally tracks via PS3. I think that the people should be able to create tracks via PS3 like GT5 does. :(

Having played through a couple of the sample tracks, I'm not sure I'll bother dropping the money for a tablet to pay with this. And I really do not want to have to buy an Apple product.

You can get a tablet for less than £40. It is also possible to run android apps on a PC within Chrome.

It's not the end of the world.
Would tell me how that works, please? Also, anybody found a way to run this on a Surface or Surface RT yet?

So the wife and myself brought ourselves (family,( like literally Sunday)) a new Samsung Tablet an 8 inch 16 gig brand spanking new and

"This app is incompatible with all of your devices" - No carrier Samsung SM-T350

I was thinking, (& forgive me if someone already posted this and i missed it.) Could PD somehow make the App able to download to the ps3 directly from the psn store? Because my Sony headset has a lil app I downloaded that I could change a few things on. I know it could take weeks, or even possibly months. But it would be better than not being able to use the Track Editor at all. :/

Get an Android device if you are looking to save money. Just make sure it is a compatible device first. Should be able to find one for $100 or less that has as much or more processing power than an ipad. I'm not trying to start an apple vs android debate, apple has it's perks. But bang for your buck is definitely in android's favor
