I finally got gold with this by turning off all the aids, which, due to my impatient feet, is the only way I can get the car to rotate the way I need. I'm going to experiment with some more techniques tonight, but damn...this one was rough.

For an average driver like me, it does as I improved by half a second right after I started using it.

You're one of the top drivers on this forum. If you call yourself average, I should probably have my license taken away.

This TT is hilarious! It sounds and drives like an electric RC car on steroids:lol:

Haha.

I didn't know the car was electric and I thought my game was broken as there was no engine sound and just eerily quiet.

Erh... Honey, would you please stop the vacuum cleaner?
What, you're not hoovering? Oops, sorry that's the ugly car I'm driving that makes this noise... :D

Well, after a few attempts I golded that TT, but with no pleasure at all. I was 1666th, but I guess this is no longer the case now...
Let's have a look to the other events.

Struggling to get this beast turned on the first few hairpins:banghead: Managed a 1.01.926 without using the handbrake as I find that awkward. Couldn't handle it without SRF.

Any tips would be welcome, I'm nearly there but don't know how people are getting in to the 57's and I have watched the fastest reply several times.

Why does everyone determine wether they cable can't get gold the first time they run the seasonal? It's open for 2 weeks for a reason!

Anyways, this is hard as hell. This car makes a lot of smoke but it sure doesn't spin enough to get this thing to rotate. I was excited when I first saw the TT cus I thought we were getting a rally trial, bummed that it's not. Has anyone else found themselves using the patches of dirt outside the entry of turns 1 and 3 to try and slip the car into the turn?

Thanks for the kind words and vote of confidence but when you look at the big picture, yea, I'm just average. I'm just a little fish among whales in this vast ocean we call GT. :)

Sweet TT. Had a quick go at this last night after a 2 month GT hiatus. It is a challenge especially when all aids including ABS is off. Car handles like a 4WD does in GT games when TCS and SRF are off so corner exit is where you'll find the most time. All I need to do now is set a lap that's not jnvalidated before I cross the line

Nice touch by PD to make the gold time in this a lot more difficult to get.

I drove my butt off and could only get 1:02.385 (no SRF or e-brake). Does PD expect all of us to use that cheap driving aid?

I maxed out my driving skills a while ago and I've noticed that it takes me more and more time to reach gold as set by PD with SRF turned off. I'm confident that I'm not getting worse at driving. PD is getting worse at setting gold times fairly. Given how much they seem to support SRF, treating it like it is a necessity, I get the strong feeling that they set times for SRF and do not consider what the times should be for real drivers. It took me 10 minutes to gold the Peugeot TT with the second highest PP car available in stock form; it took me 10 minutes to gold the FT-1 TT; but it took me 5 hours to get gold in this Tajima TT with SRF turned off: a 1:00.955. The amount of time and effort required for gold with SRF turned off feels like it is getting worse and worse. It's like they want everyone to use SRF whenever the option is available. It feels to me like they are not realizing that SRF times should be super easy and non-SRF times should be the ones they focus on calibrating properly. Calibrating according to SRF times is inept on the part of PD...but there might be a reason why this is so...

For fun, because trying to find a half a second was not, I counted all the Japanese players who had golded this event earlier this morning: there were nearly 1000 at the time and of those only 2.06% had done so with SRF turned off. Since the Japanese will have a greater influence on the Japanese developers I will let you interpret what these numbers mean.

The best way to make this thing turn, is to play with weight transfer. Try finding the points where acceleration-deceleration combined with turning and braking ,rotates the car. Once you get the feel of it, you can control this car pretty effectively. The other way is to play around with the hand brake, which i haven't done yet.

@GTP_CargoRatt you're well above average my friend, you know that. What makes this happen is your commitment and effort, your passion and sharing these with the community. That's what Grand is, and this is certainly not average.

I support the use of SRF and all but the time requirements to meet are beginning to be unrealistically impossible to achieve suddenly.

Well, all I can say about this TT is, it's a loads of fun but harder than I thought.:odd: I need more than a second, with those red hot 4 tyres I hope they won't burst.lol

Ran a 1:00.9 after a few attempts with no aids. Without ABS the car starts to slide really nicely if trail-brake really deep into the corner. I drifted those first few hairpins practically.

Could find .4/5 with a better lap, but I've had enough.

I gave up and turned the SRF on. I don't like cars with CVT (or no transmission in this case).
Typically if I like the way the car drives I would spend hours to try to gold without aids.
This was not the case.

Got a 59:4 ( or something) in a place of 465th, although that has probably risen since I did it. Happy out though :)

i don't know if a lot of you remember , but this one takes me back to the GT HD concept... that was like 7 years ago, eiger was the only track in that game, and also the first gt on ps3 to feature online rankings. from what i remember the graphics actually don't look all that different from gt6.

Congratulations to those who've golded this without srf. This is a tough one without doubt. I'm still nearly a second off and can't see where I'm going to make up the time. I seem to be very much in the minority in that I actually enjoy electric cars. I love the huge torque and the fact that I can hear every little chirp from the tyres. I've tried with abs on and off, and I think off is quicker, if you can keep it all tidy, which I can't.

I sat at this event for a solid hour and couldn't make Gold. My DS3 isn't working with me, or something I'm doing is wrong. I studied the best lap ghost and replay so many times but I just can't get below 1:02.

A lot of people here have suggested to use the handbrake; perhaps at my second go for this event, I'll try using it. For now, my head feels like there's an anvil sitting on it... :ouch:

If anyone golds this with SRF off, would you be kind enough to post your replay? I (and I'm sure others) would be very grateful! My best is a 1.190...

I finally got gold with a 1.00.985 after 8 laps. Needed to use TCS 2, ABS 1 and SRF on to get that though. Best I could do without SRF was 1.03 to get silver. This one was quite tough.

I'm still .8xx off of gold with abs1 and the handbrake. I'm really not enjoying this at all. This seasonal forces one to toss out all they've learned about being smooth and cutting good lines for what might as well have be a handbrake required drift event. I may have to turn SRF on to get that lousy paint chip as much as it pains me to do so.
