I'm confused. What exactly am I looking at here

Lowered and aftermarket rims. Chrome finish trim painted black. Aftermarket antenna. No disruptive paint or anything. Nice and clean.

Minus the rear diffuser, me like!

For sure, I'd say 10hp or so is definitely not out of the question with an aftermarket manifold 👍

It wouldn't be aftermarket though.. it's an OEM manifold from a different vehicle.. And I think going from carb like to multi port injection is a plus. And turbo options... And I can pull the cylinders and such from the Z31 300ZX to take my compression ratio to 9.0:1, use 300ZX cams and everything to make it just that much better, get it ported and polished for even more power, see if I can't do something to those hydraulic rocker arms... get headers WAY later on down the road, do something to my exhaust, fix all my engine probs... like the cylinder slap I got going on... use the 3.3L fuel rails and injectors and ECU, and yeah. I'd have myself a nice little truck with more than 300hp with twin turbos... :D

Don't take me wrong, I'd drive the bejeebers out of one. Just as I'd drive the hell out of this:

Both absolutely tasteless, both awesome 👍

It's a cool gasser/nostalgia but the paint job is ugly to me
Yup, it's pretty clean looking! :D

Not too sure what to think about this one. Other than the hood, and the odd looking front splitter, I love it.

I don't know how a tubbed rear end is tasteful but the design shows a lot of work especially the rear brake vents and the side exhaust.

As for the mustang before it...seems boring. Ugly paint job and pro touring wheels and low profile tires so it's whatever to me.

I agree that the wheels aren't the best. They could be better, but the rest of the car makes up for it. I also love how the paint job mimics the original Boss 302 scheme. And it's built from carbon fiber. What's not to love?

Did he actually use the engine, body kit, etc from the RS 4 Avant?
Not sure about the engine but it has the RS4 widebody and bumpers. If you google it you'll find the list of mods. I'd link you but I'm on the mobile version.

The rims on the Mercedes are horrid. The car itself looks pretty good, even though I have a burning hatred that body style and think it was the ugliest thing to come from Mercedes. Just change the rims and it would be okay

Those rims fit the Mercedes perfect, they go with the overall look of the car without being super gaudy.

Anyways, the HRE show Focus shows how nicely these cars can be done up. And this was before there was even a huge aftermarket for the MKIII
