TCV5 HURRY THE HELL UP thread

Another question (will they ever end?).

It says "Improvement over Stock" for the TCV5 final category. I'm taking this to mean we drive the same car while it's stock except for driving aids, right?

In other words, let's say I'm taking Jonn's Integra. I drive it with his settings. Then, I drive the same model Integra, completely stock (including stock power) on S2 tires since the car comes with S2s from the Honda dealer. The only thing I'm changing is turning off Driving Aids, correct? (please say yes...)

Dangit! :ouch: Don't expect me to be done everything by the 4th, then. Not if you want a thorough analysis of each vehicle, that is.

Thanks. Yea, I was gonna ask you next, Jonn.

a112, ABud (and anyone else I'm forgetting) how about you guys? You teamed up with a garage or just acting independently? And Balang, is 'Balang Project' your garage?

Correct

I believe the answer would be yes.

Good. And in the case of the Amuse S2000/Lighter twins, I'm doing the "stock" portion with S3 tires (since they come with S3s), Driving Aids OFF, and since the car has a Sport suspension while stock, I'm installing this but leaving everything on default?

Just trying to get everything clear. This is alot of work, ya know...

Wait, I guided you wrong somewhere. In my opinion, you should try the cars (every stock car) with S3 tires, since those are the only tires available to use in the competition.

About the S2000, you are absolutely right.

I was under the impression the improvement score would be versus default settings but this works better/best because there are a few occasions where a default Racing suspension is noticeably worse to drive than full stock.

Well, I had a PM chat with mafs a few days ago. The BATTLE MONSTER portion rules are thus:

1. Drive the BATTLE MONSTER on S3 tires.

2. All stock. If there's somethign which can be manipulated (suspension or whatever the car comes with) make sure these parts are set to default.

3. Driving aids OFF.

....so let's get this straight. When we drive the car we've tested "completely stock", we're to put S3 tires on? Not S2? It won't matter to me that much, I'm still not finished writing everything up....but I wanna be 100% sure.

My only doubt lies in the tires. It's not something that big, however. You should ask mafs about this, just to avoid confusions.

Making excellent progress on my heavyweight so far. Initially I was going to enter another M3, but then I thought I'd enter something a bit fun just to make it different from my current trio of lightweight hyper revvers.

Enter the '88 Supra, equipped with a stage 3 turbo. :P

Is it too late to get in on this? I already have a Lightweight entry ready to go, with either a Middleweight, Heavyweight or a Supercar entry currently in testing (Trying to decide which car i should tune).

No, not too late. You have until July 1st I think.

Right on Parnellie! I'm a pivateer entrant, though the *Unofficial* name of the family tuning company is "Bellomo Motorsports SPA".

EDIT: Lightweight entry up and running!

All cool man, all cool...Listen, I only threw that set-up together a little while ago and i don't really have much experience tuning up cars like this. If you or anybody else finds any faults with it, PM me so we ("We" being me and my dad) can help make it better!

And on to my all conquering super circuit ready Silvia S15!!!!!!! Bwahaha!

Do i get minus points for not taking any pics? Cos if i do imma put up the pics tonight!

Looks like it's a battle of Opel's. That was my entry for lightweight too but I've pushed the boundary a LOT more (284hp instead).

I'm independent, use FBM as Forza Barbieri Motorsport for my garage name. 👍

Sonnofa...For some reason, when i was tuning the Opel i thought the HP limit was only 275! :irked::banghead:

Anyways, look for more entries from me soon, as i'm currently working on a Supercar Entry at the moment...:mischievous:

Do you want me to judge it with more power? Hurry up and answer....I'm trying to get everything done in order, and I'm not sure if I'll want to backtrack later.

Yes please! Add a Sports Intercooler to the existing tune (As it was initially tested!) and the power output should be at 283, with the WPR still within the legal limits.

EDIT: Updated settings in the TCv5 Thread!

Yup. That's exactly what I did. Nice car. Easy to drive. I got a pretty good lap time with it, too. Don't forget to CHANGE THE PARTS LIST ASAP in your TCV5 OPel Speedster post. ;)

I just sent a PM to mazdaman about his entry into the middleweight class. He's got his RX8 set with over 500 horsepower. I told him to tune it back to 375 or we won't judge. :ouch:

Thank you Parnelli, I was about to do the same thing then read your post in here. 👍

Good news and bad news from me.

Good news = GME has relocated....sort-of. The family has moved but I'm still here, I vacate this house tomorrow and stay in Sydney for 2 more weeks.

Bad news = My wife has taken the TCv5 tunes with her!! She knew about it and must've thought I needed to take it with me, but now I'm stuck in Sydney and she's 1500km's away with the setup's.

So I may be out of the competition as I don't have the specs of any of the cars on me. That's only MAY....she might know them and can tell me over the phone, then you're all back in trouble. :mischievous: Also, my judging will be later than the others as a consequence of the relocating. But I WILL judge all categories. 👍
