Hey,
I'm pretty sure this is my first comment on gt planet and it's in this post for two main reasons.
Firstly i'm a huge fan of drifting, powersliding, donuts, burned tires, by now i'm pretty sure ...ahmm You get the ideea.
Secondly i've used stock cars and mostly overpowered stock cars to drift but with this settings I can easily get 20000on tsukuba and insanly high scores on eager northwand. Huge difference. Well, this its my way of saying thankyou.

Omg thanks a lot. Says you joined in 2009 and I get your first comment, it's an honor. It's like a munk breaking the vow of silence lol. I'm glad you like the tunes I try to make them as good as possible so everyone can have a good time drifting no matter what there skill level.

Buick GNX 1987

Well I have always liked this car since it is easily the most gangster car in the whole game. I have never drove it however. I attempted to power it up and make it into a race demon, but I didn't want to add a spoiler because I like that classic look. It was very difficult to tune for racing as the thing would start to slide a lot and instead of wasting my time I took all the sliding as a sign to make it into a drifter! I am so happy I did because it is a monster. Very good drifters can reach 30,000 at Tsukuba without too much problem. My personal record with it was 29,000 with the worst score being 27,000 so if you can drift expect high scores. It's fairly easy to drift, but although I didn't I expect you could spin out if your not careful due to the high rear camber. You can not look any cooler online driving this thing and tho it looks great already with some new rims, crazy paint and a spoiler this car could really stand out.

Wait you got that good in the buick? That's awesome. I haven't tried the events out yet but hopefully I do well too since I did pretty bad in the last ones.

Tried out your Buick tune and I've got my PB on Suzuka east with it. Very nice car to drift with and managed to score a 15935 which beat my last score by roughly 1000 after only a few goes with it.

Would it be possible for you to do a drift tune for the Holden commodore SS? This is the car I use for all the drift seasonals as I have one parked in my driveway lol. Searched for tunes but can't find any fully maxed tunes for it.

Thanks

hey!! love your tune for the AE86!!, could you possibly post the tune up for the rx-7 you used in your intro vid if possible?? :D

Nice job I really like the Buick and did great scores with it too. Have you tried my GTO tune for that car since they are pretty much the same thing? Get back to me how it goes.

Thanks. lol I get asked about a rx-7 tune so much. Maybe one day I'll post a tune for it, but only once I get one so amazing that it can compete with the best drift cars out there since it is special to me being my first drifter.

I'll have a look for the GTO tune and give it a crack. Had a browse through earlier but I'm on my iPhone so didn't get too far, Would also help going from page 1 instead of backwards like I did lol

Just tried the viper tune, I finally broke into the 20,000 points on tsukuba.plus I finally got gold in the seasonal drifts. Just started drifting about a week ago, so a big thanks to ya!

haha ya it's like first tune ever so backwards is definitely gonna take you a while. I think it runs sports tires, but the tune may still work with comfort since it has so much power I am not sure.

lol damn I thought the Buick was some super monster able to take on the speed 12. Your settings seem pretty good since you did so well, but do you want me to publish them in here for all and post you as the tuner or just test them myself? Either way I would like to try.

Nice man, just wait till the end of the month when you become even better and 20,000 becomes the easiest thing ever to achieve.

It should work with comforts as the SS has a little less power than the GTO and it may be a little heavier too.

I'll be a start anyway, tuning baffles me lol. I'll get on tomorrow when the missus goes back to work so I'll have all day to try and improve and get used to manual shifting lol

PM sent :D do what i want to do with it, if you want to publish them u should do that but if you want to keep them secret and only enjoy it for yourself you should do that. i dont care what you do with them, its your choice :D i only want to help people :D

Ya it definitely will work, but I found sports tire tunes and comfort tire tunes are pretty different. See how it goes and get back. lol ya if you can't shift with manual for drifting you are screwed.

Ok cool man, I'll check it out maaaaaaybe later tonight, but prob tomorrow night. If I really like it and it is similar to what I would do than I'll publish it here.

Hey can you post a drift tune for the honda NSX Type R or Type S please?

Maybe. I don't like those cars for drifting. I had one once and it just pissed me off every time. I guess so did the S2000 and that turned out to be great once I tried tuning it so i'll check it out again and see how it goes.

Ok no problem also what car would you recommend for drifting (for a beginner)

awwww no chance at all for the rx-7? :( can't find a tune on here, just tried your fiat 500 tune, loooool it's near impossible to drift in that ****** car!!

The nsx-r was my best drift score before your Buick tune lol. I scored 15000 with it on Suzuka east using auto. I'll give manual a go and see if it'll work for me lol

Read my first page it recommends some and gives some tips. I remember the M3 was easy to drift and just enough power.

I didn't say not at all. Just not yet. Lol ya **** that fiat I hate that car so much. Some dude kept on and on about making one so I did it and it's awful. I can drift with it but it takes so much effort I just don't see the point.

Lol nsx is what I heard was good to drift with when I started by a bunch of people, but the tunes that were offered didn't make sense from what I know now. I'm sure I can make a sweet tune for one since the power for it is good, but idk if I'll bother since my bad experience. We will see.

Well mine wasn't tuned, just bolted everything on and off I went lol. Out of all the cars I've tried (and I've tried a few lol) it seemed to be a good balanced drifter with good power and pretty decent control for an average drifter like me.

The Speed 12 on the other hand, an absolute prick of a car for non professionals even after your tune. I can't get the thing round corners, tried every technique to turn it and all it wants to do is go straight lol. Using the handbrake it'll turn but as soon as I'm on the gas it straightens back up :banghead I've watched the leaders replays and they make it look effortless lol

Ok bit of an update. Using my commodore on the standard settings but now with MT. Took a little getting used to but I think I got the hang of it lol.

Suzuka east drift seasonal previous best was 15,935 (around 6100 place overall)

New PB 20,246 = 2002 overall

Now I'll give your GTO tune a go

Edit:

Ended up with a 21,678 using a mix of your tune and mine. I used all your settings but I left the gearing how it was, it seemed to work for me. I used CH up front and CM on the rears.

With your suspension setting the rear end felt livelier but still very controllable and I'm definitely getting better control on the drift, just need to string all the sectors together a bit better.

I tried your gearing but it made it a little too hard to control. I think the gearing is a little too close in the higher gears. With my settings i can initiate in 6th gear round the first corner and hold onto it where as yours I had to initiate in 5th then up to 6th but couldn't hold it.

It's getting addictive though lol

Ya the speed 12 is insane you must be a master to get it right. A friend gave me a speed 12 with settings that I actually like better on it as it is easier to control and still high scores. idk of I can post it tho since its all his stuff.

maybe a tune for the acura nsx 91 rm version?? :D

Nope lol

Ya like I said I set that car for sports tires so it needs more power etc to get it to drift meaning LSD and transmission would be different if I made it for comfort tires. Keep practicing with the mix settings and I'm sure you will get totally used to it.

Just wanted to say that i LOVE your Tunes.
I've been tuning up some 60's to Early 90's Vehicles. ;3

I Love the Oldies <3
When the cars were PURE.

Thanks. Ya the old car are awesome and to drift are even more fun. If you haven't tried the Shelby 350 yet I def recommend checking it out.

I wrote down sector scores for 4 or 5 of my better scores and tallied the best sectors and I'm good for 25-26000, it's just a matter of linking each sector. A little frustrating cos I'll get a 8xxx for the first sector then end up on the grass in the next sector or I'll do average in the first and score high in the next, it's frustrating :banghead lol

One day you'll see an SS on top of those speed 12's lol
