I was a long-time supporter of the TD series on the PS1 (had TD 4,5,6, TDOR 3 and TD Le Mans), but I never got the chance to experience TDU1. Now it looks like I'll finally get a piece of the action :). Bring it on!

I'm just gutted that the club cars aren't available to everyone though. Guess you can't have everything...And the pre-order bonuses :banghead:. I wish devs would stop doing this.

Still, that trailer is absolutely -worthy.

Pre-order bonuses are one of the ways they have been able to deter people from buying used, so I doubt it will be ending any time soon.

Couldn't they just give a one-time code that comes with every new game then? Does the same job, but saves you the hassle of pre-ordering. Not to mention if different stores have different pre-order bonuses .

Did'nt they say if your a member of a club you can have any car regardless if you chairman. any news from e3?
Yes, I think I read that all club members get the car regardless of rank in the club. I think this was read in one of the Fabien or Diablo articles.

^Yeah, but I was hoping they would let everyone, regardless if they join any club or not, to be able to have the car after reaching a certain level in the game. I really want to drive both the Gumpert and MP4-12C :(.

Join my club then. This is what I said a page or two ago...

We've got 3 or so members so far.
So with that said...I propose we set up a club with, well, the people here.

Who's in? I could care less who's the leader, what the name of club is - I just want my MP4-12C and Apollo. :D

^That'll do. But I was under the impression that one club is limited to only one exclusive car (type, not number), so that means we still can't get both at the same time. Or am I wrong?

I'm pretty sure you can have both. I'll have to read the excerpt again and make sure.

I just watched the trailer and...

Oh. My. God.

It looks like a masterpiece. For once I actually want to pre-order something not because of benefits or whatever, but because the game looks so perfect. Huge fan of the first game, looks like their new additions are great. Hopefully car sounds/physics are tweaked a bit, and it'll be perfect. The customization is amazing too.

September 21.

I don't think anybody else on any English TDU forums spotted this, but also remember this date is not set in concrete.

The date itself, or the showcase of the car/game?

Because the date is nothing new, at least not in this part of the forum. :P

The date, why would I post a picture of a random SLR with vinyls on it? :odd:

It was known to be early fall, but the specific date wasn't mentioned anywhere.

Oh, my bad then. Didn't see that one. It's a shame my stupid internet doesn't like loading that site. :(

It's no big deal, the more notifications the better.

Now, join my club so I can use the Apollo and MP4-12C.

New. Pictures.

September 21st, FTW. :D

Oh, F1 2010 comes out on the same damn day, too.

Never mind, that trailer wasn't new...don't know why it was being passed off as such.

Rawr! I dont mind what carbon patterns they used because that interior is insane! No wonder the people who have seen the game say it looks so good, it looks amazing!

I'm drooling ova' here!

See?

The article where those pictures came, confirms a 24-hour day/night cycle for the eleventy billionth time...September 21st better hurry the eff up.

The interior looks kind of meh to be honest, not that it's bad, it's bloody brilliant, but that type of quality can already be seen on TDU1 modifications:

I know there's a couple of inconsistencies present, like for instance where it says Zonda F, and missing buttons near the gear stick, but keep in mind that there was no original model and this had to be individually crafted into the modification. Quality wise, it's still brilliant and if anything, almost up to scratch with TDU2's interior:

The main difference is the lighting effects, other than that, model wise at least, it's not too much of a step up from TDU1. However please note I'm not saying this in a bad way, I'm just saying that we can already find quality like this in TDU1.

Can you find quality like that in TDU1, or is that quality coming from someone else?

Because it's actually quite easy to incorporate a model into a PC racing game that's just as great as the developers' models. What happens though is that the 3rd Party car then requires more of a high end PC. GTR2 Mods incorporated cars that were pretty much on par with Simbin's, but then you had WSGT guys modeling cars far surpassing Simbin's, but requiring a lot of memory.

Like I said, it was a modification. I know it's not original TDU1, but it does mean that high quality models can be used in TDU1 without it looking rubbish.

Edit: And no, apparently these modification do not affect low spec computers with a large impact. Of course, I cannot prove this, but many people with low spec PC's can still run these fine without any problems.

I edited my previous post since I figured that wasn't a proper reply. I have personally asked many people with lower end PC's and they claim that it does not affect their FPS. In TDU, it's not the cars that drop the FPS, it's the environment (eg. grass, trees).

For instance, this car, has been converted from Forza 3. It's a MB SL65 AMG Black Series. A couple of people did comment that it does not have an impact on their PC's, and they can still run the game with a perfectly acceptable FPS. Basically it isn't that the cars are a higher file size, as TDU has a very strict limit on what filesizes are. Every single car exterior model has to be under 3mB or the game will simply crash. Interiors are only upto some 6mB, and normal TDU cars do reach this point. It's not that it is a better quality model/textures set, it's that it's simply optimised better and the space is used a lot more efficiently.

Wow. Just wow.:drool:There were so many awesome things mentioned. I'm glad to hear the cars have been given characteristics and will take some getting used to, the fact that all the cars pretty much felt the same on TDU1 dampened the experience for me.

Really looking forward to the release now.:)👍
