Talk about bad release date choices...

NFS:HP "November 16th"

That's a couple weeks after GT5.

At least F1 2010 and TD:U2 have a month or two breathing room prior to GT5's release. Like many, I will be buying both games to tide me over. Yet, when Hot Pursuit comes out, I will already be engrossed in GT5. Not sure I will have much interest with all the other great driving games already out there.

I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Yeah, you might be DR, you just might be. :P

I actually have a feeling that when TDU2 comes out, GT5 will collect dust for a couple weeks. TDU was such an incredible game.

Yeah, I'm actually expecting TDU2 to be one of the first games I get when I get a PS3. I figure it should tie me over until GT5 comes out. And then I'll put HP3 on my Birthday or Christmas list, because while I'm busy with GT5, I won't be bothered enough to pre-order or go down to the store and buy HP3. I'll probably get the demo, though.

I will get TDU2 for the 360. Any multi console game I will just buy for the 360. Much better online experience on the 360.

I doubt it, judging by past release dates/sales figures, where similar games are released around the same time. Most people will go for their favorite, and neglect the other. Whereas, if the dates were spread out, the numbers for both games tend to even out a bit more (popularity of said games not withstanding).

TDU was such an incredible game.

Except for the physics... The scope/scale of the game was incredible, but the physics left a lot to be desired.

You just had to show off with your logicz, didn't ya'?

...Damn super moderators. :P

On a serious note, F1 2010 and TDU 2 comes out on the same day, don't they? :ill:

Guys quick question ,TDU did have some great songs on the radio but it there any indication that the new one will have custom soundtracks.?

The original supported custom soundtracks, don't see why this one wouldn't.

ironic: I used to by all multiplatform games for the PS3 when I have both systems 'cause I liked the PS3's graphics...and well, I just liked the PS3 better.

If so, I know which one NOT to get. And I'll be getting, if I get one of the two, the pc version.

If it's not a sim, but an arcadisch or simcade game, the graphics are too important. Console is still behind the pc on that department.

Right. The new Pentiums are great, but you do have to remember than while the PS3 was in development, Sony had to BUILD their own PC to test the Cell proccessor 'cause it was setting the motherboards on fire. So, they had to great new stuff to keep the Cell cool and there literally wasn't a processor on the market at the time that could match it.

But, I can't wait to get a PS3 and TDU2...then GT5.

So, TDU 2/F1 2010 should look as good on PS3 as on pc.

In that case I'm getting the console version. Oh wait, I don't have a PS3. :sly:

I'm still missing the crisp graphics (read: anti aliasing) on console.

While Pentiums are still being fabbed, the entire Core 2 and Core i7/i5/i3 MA's don't consist of Pentiums, foo'. :P

The CPUs in PCs are amazing now but it's not just CPU power that make sexy graphics! The GPUs that are available for PCs are just monstrous. Then you can SLI/Crossfire on top of that ($$$ though). Also there is the insane amount of memory you can have in a PC vs PS3 and nvidia GPUs offering physics processing. It is just an extremely powerful platform.

Not trying to start a flame war, just letting you guys know how powerful PCs are. Now, I rarely game on my PC because I find it more comfortable to lie down on my couch and play PS3 but PCs have surpassed PS3/X360 graphical processing power for awhile now.

All that being said I'm getting TDU2 on PS3, but I can't fault anyone for wanting it on PC :) I'm a member of both camps and you're all my homies 👍

Something like that, it will be one hell of Semptember..

I'll be picking both for PS3, I really hope for some decent FF support from both games.

I have MS FF wheel for 360 and Eden did some nice job with the first TDU after patching the physics for the wheels, but I somehow look forward to play them with Logitech..

Still looking great, but one small thing I noticed is that the rain seems to have no effect on the windscreen, the visibility is clear but the wipers are not working.:odd: I hope this is just because it was not programmed into the game at the time of this video being made.

maybe you have to turn the wipers on.

one another note. I have noticed they've been showing the same vehicles over and over. They're certainly being careful not to reveal too much of the car list.

Mhm. I forget his name, but he's said something along those lines several times. They're not going to reveal anything really new concerning the cars until the launch is near, so basically, next month is when the goodies should start being revealed.

So is the beta happening or not? There is only about 2 months before release and surely a good chunk of that time will be production and distribution which leaves little time for testing the game and fixing any bugs.:nervous:
