Driving game of the year? :sly:
Oh yeah I dont see anything else having a chance against TDU2. THats if it is anywhere near as good as the first TDU.

We do possibly have GT5 coming out (wont hold my breath) and we have NFS Hot Pursuit coming out. I am very excited for NFS for sure. But I truly think TDU2 is going to mop up the competition in terms of fun. Sadly it probably wont get recognized and wont win any awards. :guilty:

I was about to post that but then I realized GT5 might be the best racing game of the year but nothing can beat TDU when it comes to driving.

Just roll down the windows and cruiiise :)

Something I spent many hours doing on TDU1,:) in this installment it'll be a lot more that just that. Maybe this should be called the 'Real Driving Simulator' instead;)

Yep, cruising with no particular purpose was great fun in TDU. Good news about the physics being more detailed in this instalment, now my biggest concern shifted towards wheel feedback. I just hope I can feel the roads properly with a G25.

You're most likely right.

GT5 will win more than likely based on its name alone & the long wait with it. Anything behind it will probably be NFS.

Just don't go saying that you know where.

hi guys,

i am completely new to this game: TDU

But I recently have taken noticed of the soon-to-be released TDU2...

Could you tell me more about this game and how the driving physics is compared with other games, and especially GT series.

It seems that i could very well enjoy this game, but i want to learn more about it before investing on updating my computer.

I am sorry i missed the first TDU, and it look like that a lot of you enjoy this game very much... Should i jump on this bandwagon this late in the "game"?

Having a cockpit set up, does TDU support those well enough?

Thanks for you time,

I like all the unnecessary things. I liked everything about TDU1 and so far everything about this game looks good too. I really like how we can interact with each other and customize our houses. That reminds me of the "Home" feature for the PS3.

I did sign up many, many days ago, does anybody know when we will get news? Or does my ignorance simply mean that I didn't get in? :dunce:

As far as I'm aware the Beta doesn't start till end of July/August so we won't have information yet. But I kind of want it now. Hoping that I get in. 👍

Hi there,

We can't really give you any first hand feedback on the physics as none of us have played any form of the game yet, but in several interviews and videos(such as the one Speedster502 posted a few posts back) they have been described as the bridge between arcade and sim, so i'm not really sure of any games that you could 'compare' it to. Regarding information, there are plenty of links, quotes and videos in this thread to whet your appetite. Don't worry about jumping on the 'badwagon' now, there are quite a few months left before the game is released so you won't miss anything.;)

The original TDU supported wheels(G25 etc.) and from what i've heard was pretty good, TDU2 will also support wheels and i'm sure the experience will be a lot better than the first.👍

I do too, I love the little details, for years I have wanted a game where you can customise your house, avatar and have loads of cars. TDU2 looks to be the one.👍

As for the beta, i've signed up with both my PSN accounts (GTP & normal), fingers crossed I get in along with you guys.:)

I pray that is true, I put my application in weeks ago but I am going to Japan on Monday for a holiday and I really dont want it to come out in those two weeks I am over.

I don't have much experience with beta testing (did it only for SCC) but I guess you will be notified by e-mail so just keep checking, even on holidays. Wiith that email you should also get an NDA to "sign" and only after you send it back you will then get a new e-mail with probably the redeem code to use on PSN.

So, don't worry about your holidays, unless during them you are unable to check your emails. 👍

No, what I mean is, I wont have my PS3. I will check my emails and things while there but if it comes out while I am over there then I will miss some/most/ all of the Beta.

EDIT: I also did it for SCC.

Did anyone hear that TDU2 also includes Hawaii as well as Ibiza!!! They apparently have ported and reworked it.

Its been confirmed by some game sites which had a closed door even at E3 with Eden but there seems to be some confusion whether this is ture or not.

It makes a big difference if it includes the first games island, makes it a far more attractive purchase for me because I wanted it set on Hawaii again.

Robin.
