I can't wait to take a muscle car off-road, preferably a Dodge Charger. In orange.

I still don't like the sound of "online exclusive" vehicles. It's, again, essentially forcing people to participate in multiplayer activities. :indiff:

I wonder if it'll just be paint or body kits though. Like the Dub Edition cars in Midnight Club.

I hope it is something like that, because that's trivial. From the sound of everything however, it seems that actual vehicles are limited to clubs and such. The MP4-12C (and now the Apollo Sport, apparently) are two of those vehicles thus far.

If it continues like that, I won't have much of a reason to purchase the darn thing.

Last thing I'm going to say on this thread: All I had an issue with was how he responded to my minor mistakes. It's not like I'm the ONLY person in this thread to post dublicate threads and information that's already posted. I don't understand why he had to be so rude.

I'm sorry for posting stuff that's already there. I made a mistake. I'm human. Sue me already.

Man, from the sound of it, you're all Xbox junkies. I can always tell, 'cause XJ's always whine a lot.

Even if I were to sit down with the game and had the entire car list before anyone else, I wouldn't tell you guys. Because I know there'd be a lot of "No way! that car isn't in there." and "You're full of crap!" and a lot of whining. This is the reason Bungie stopped checking their own forums.
I would suggest you stop. You know what has happened in the past 24 hours, its new leaf time ok?

You were almost forgiven til' you decided to play the console card.

At least thanks for linking to some new info.

Yeah, the gamespot preview mentioned that you'd also be able to build your own cars which is intriguing to me. Don't know exactly what that means, but maybe they'll be engine swaps.

I welcome engine swaps with open arms in racing games, especially if you can do cross brand swaps, a SBC in an RX-7 is always a great combo:tup:

Well, from the video above it seems that cars are exclusive to clubs, like you said. The whole club things sounds like an online thing so I guess we are SOL on that one.
Makes little sense. A the beginning she said you can progress in the game 4 different ways, one of the being the online way. Towards the end with the exclusive cars and clubs, it sounds like no matter what you'll need to most likely use all the different ways to fully experience the game. Bummer.

Nice, I am direct downloading it now :).

EDIT: Btw Mclaren, those pictures keep making my Wifi drop out mate. It doesnt like to load large pages over the distance of my house, I hate to be an ass but could you please remove them? It is just really annoying having to reconnect it all the time.

EDIT: Err, I pressed refresh and it posted the above again, anyway, here is what I posted on the TDU forums about the trailer:

The environment from 1:25ish to 1:37 looks awesome. The physics are terrible again but I guess that is because they are not done properly yet. I do like the looks of the off roading, with some proper physics I can see that they would be real fun

Overall, good trailer and the music suited it too.

No.

Okay. :P

Edit* For a few seconds there, I thought I was watching the Ballad of Gay Tony. Nice trailer, but it's lacking some things.

I'm pretty disappointed by the physics, I hope that isn't what we get stuck with. And the graphics weren't too good either, the wheels even go 2D.

"Cosmetic Surgery Clinic"? I'm sorry but what the ****? Did they mistakenly name a video game representation of the Jersey Shore, TDU? Is driving even the main feature of this game?

I think they had them in the first one as well, it's where you go to edit your character.(IIRC)

Pretty much, after that they showed character customization screen .. but what the hell I thought that was totally something different especially for female characters .. you know what I am saying :sly:

The game is depicting a particular lifestyle, same deal as the first TDU. Only this one adds a bit more to it.

So far, it sounds pretty backwards-hat lowlifey to me, but we'll see. Never played the first one and have no interest whatsoever in creating a game "lifestyle".

I'll probably just play ModNation Racers, F1 2010 and SBKX while waiting for GT5 and skipping this one.

Figured as much.
This game is totally aimed at the NFS and midnight club crowd isn't it?

That was the feeling the first one had to me so I agree a bit with that. It didn't have the huge wings and under car lights etc. that those had, but it does have a little of that feel. I wish they would have just spent more time on the game with the physics and such and less time on "hip features" and such.

I just bought the first one yesterday and so far I'm very impressed. It's very enjoyable to just drive around (despite the dated graphics). It's a shame there's only ever a handful of people online at one time. I'm a bit reluctant to play it out though... might detract from my enjoyment of TDU2. I don't think it's for NFS crowd. The vibe I got was one of passion for cars and driving. Definitely worth a try for anyone who's thinking of it.
