The best GT5 cars according to stormbringer!

There's:

Amuse S2000 GT1 (standard)
Amuse S2000 GT1 Turbo (premium)
Amuse S2000 R1 (standard)
Amuse S2000 Street Version (standard)

I think that's all the Amuse S2000s there are in the game. The Turbo is MUCH better than the original GT1, very important to note ;)

nice one, tried the street version yet? might be interesting.

I had it once, nothing special. Only used it for drifting then traded it.

Just won the Audi R8 LMS Race Car, glad I didn't spend 5 mils on it in the UCD. Fantastic car the Citroën GT Road Car, no assists on and it's just a dream to cruise it around the Nürburgring Type V track for 4 hours to win the race with 9 minutes to a HKS.

HKS: I tried your setup last time with no good outcome. What strikes me is that in the description it says that the car have done 53.0xx on Tsukuba IRL, but I couldn't get it any lower than 56.3xx. Huge difference.

i really want to get my hands on the R8. how is it? must be kick asss
Tried the Citroen GT road car online today, gotta say i really liked it as well.
i dont like that electric battery power tranny aspect of the concept. I will get the road car soon.

HKS: i suppose you probably take your car to the limit. Im more of a tame driver.
i dont take too many risks. For me the hks was solid from day one.

Got a few of really cool tuning company cars today from the UCD. very excited about this one. Trial Celica 399hp/970Kg. should be a bit better than the wedssport celica. also got a bunch of RM able cars. gonna test em tomorrow

splashed a cool 2.6mill on a Zonda R ... I was a bit disappointed actually, did the dream car cup with it, won the first 2, then stuck hard tyres on and was shocked at the lack of traction :embarrassed:
if you have a set-up for it id be glad for your response :) if you haven't used it then you can add me: smalldave and I'll lend it to you to test... if you have done it already add me anyway I'd like to race you online :)

Was it the Premium one (Amuse S2000 GT1 Turbo) or the Standard one (Amuse S2000 GT1)? The Turbo one is much better and for the same amount of money :)

And I know it's been a long time since I mentioned the HKS: It sucked - was so bad that I traded it as fast as I could, only to realize it's a prize car later on - NOOO!! It understeers like the Devil - perhaps skid is the answer to make it handle? Idk and I won't find out ;)

Just found the Jaguar XJ220 a few hours before you wrote it - have updated my garage now though as it wasn't the first time I tried something like that :)

Crossing my fingers: hope to find the Nardo today as holidays are over tomorrow.

It was the Turbo one. Bought it from the New Car Dealership.

With proper tuning, I realize that it could be made into a much more stable car, but with default settings, it drifted a lot and was hard (although fun) to control at times.

btw my takatas at 489hp and 1100kg and i dont think ive done any mods to it. why does urs have lower hp and more weight?
\.

Frankly, I don't remember paying for my Takata. I think it was a random prize car for completing 1000km, or completing all intermediate races or something.

I think there's a few versions out there. What's the full name and year of your Takata?

yo, i'm getting really really bored with gt5. i've got x1 and i've given away my f10 and formula gt and the rest o fmy cars. all i want to do now is find a couple of low power cars with insane grip. i've had the amuse s2000 gt1 turbo ( awesome) but i got bored of it as i used it every race online lol i'm thinking of buying the IS F Racing concept 08. but i cba to wast emy money, fancy doing a test for me?

I'm testing the R8 LMS tomorrow I hope. And getting a Bentley Speed 8, it just popped up in the UCD :D

I'm a very solid driver. Not that aggressive, can drive 20 laps straight with no mistakes, shouldn't be that big a problem :)

TAKATA DOME NSX: There are two of them, one Premium and one Standard.

The Standard one is yellow and from 2003 (I got this from expert a-spec events ticket)
The Premium one is green and from 2006

Yeah, mine is the Standard yellow version.

The Zonda R is a very cool car, but can be very unforgiving especially without TRC. Ive got mine tuned to 900+hp and i find it hard to drive especially on nordschliefe. I feel much safer using it on a track with wider roads.

its on my list #25 right now. Will add u.

Ive tested the IS F RM which was great (dont have it anymore, someone sent it over for a test) Im assuming the racing concept will be better than the RM. If so, it should be a kick ass car. Will get it soon.

You should really try the last Nissan Calsonic Skyline.
It's a premium car, around 1m cr.

Ive tested the Xanavi Nismo GT-R (great car). They are all the same except for paint, right? if so, i dont see myself buying another one.

Yeah, mine is the Standard yellow version.

I suspected you might have an older one. thats a pretty good lap time u achieved with it.

Thanks, I look forward to racing you... but I don't know how your zonda is above 900bhp - I bought the turbo upgrade and engine upgrade yet it's 880bhp. If you race it more does it gain bhp?

I doubt used cars are more prone to damage. Rally and touring cars supposedly get damaged more easily than road cars.
don't think I've seen much damage on my cars. I read somewhere damage gets activated at lvl 40. I'm still at 32.

alright sorry I'm late but it was incredible damage first few laps after putting all I could in the Saleen. I wouldn't do it again, but everything looked cool about it.

I can take corner in rc corvette the saleen, couldnt.. warning to others the saleen looks sweet but damages at slightest touch.

Saleen deserves below satisfactory.

you probably need an oil change. You do gain some hp in new cars the more you drive em (not sure if used cars behave the same way)

👍 u lucky dog :) Ive never seen the R8 or bentley in my UCD.

I think you could get the R8. I don't remember your a-spec level, but it is won in a-spec level 32 (Nürburgring 4h race).

EDIT: Think I said earlier that the Audi R8 LMS could be painted. It can't. Now it's just a Sepangblau Audi R8 with a spoiler and Gran Tursimo ads. Would have preferred the Team PlayStation one.

The LMS Race Car is fantastic. It's handling is outstanding. Did a 1.10.1xx on first lap at Deep Forest completely stock and all assists off. Put a turbo on (if you can) and turn on skid and you should get yourself a 1.06.000 lap, I think.

The Speed 8 is 5.5 mils and just after I bought it the damn thing appeared again 4 cycles later.

Now that holidays are over I can't progress anymore in the a-spec, so I must start some b-spec. Only races I can do in a-spec that I haven't won already are the Suzuka 1000km, 9hr Tsukuba and 24h Le Mans. This game could really need a mid-race save function for those races.

i've seen the r8 once, think it was up for 5.6mil. the fsi r8 handles well so i cant imagine how the lms handles :P

Thats too much cr. Im gonna try to win the prize car, thanks to bombe. Now if i can just gather up the courage to do a 4hr Nurburgring race.

bad cars/buys:
10-Integra Type R touring car (150K in the used store. not bad, but not worth it with the evos and imprezas around)

I actually found the Integra Type R Touring Car pretty decent with a slight tune to soften up the front and control the natural FF understeer, it showed up for $74,415 UCD for me and it comes with full modded kit, custom susp, custom tranny drivetrain etc, and by just adding the $20k Stage 3 Turbo to it, I was able to beat my Cusco Subaru Impreza Touring Car times on the Nordschleife with a 7:17.474 which was also very close to my ISF Racing Concept '08 times, so this thing competes with the $900k DTM cars that I normally beat with my ISF '08.

I generally agree with your results, but you might want to revisit this car under the bang/buck criteria, I think it is a great deal for a very decent handling car, that comes almost fully modded and competes well with more expensive JTM and DTM touring cars, I only wish they would let it compete in the DTM challenge like the ISF can.

Great thread by the way, it's been very useful to me in the UCD addiction for purchasing decisions, looking forward to hearing how you like the Speed 8 as I've passed on it a couple of times not sure if it's worth the high cost.

I was particularly dissatisfied with Spoon S2000 '00, Mini Cooper and Honda Civic RM '97. Amuse S2000 GT1 was also hard to control, although it was fun to drive.

Spoon did suck. but the Civic RM was cool. ya a little slow, but its very responsive and light footed. i enjoyed driving the civic RM

Cool in case you don't want to fiddle much with the Integra Type R Touring tune, here's the simple changes I found helped a bunch with the FF understeer for me (I'm no tune wiz, just for FF cars I soften the front to get power down, tighten the rear spring to help rotate in the corners):
Transmission: Top Speed 174
LSD: (stock) 10/40/20
Suspension:
Ride height (stock) 0/0
Spring Rate 12.0/14.0
Dampers Ext (stock) 8/8
Dampers Comp (stock) 8/8
ARB 3/6
Camber 1.5/0.5
Toe -0.10/0.20

That combined with adding just the Stage 3 Turbo made it feel good for me on G27 wheel, all aids off except ABS=1

Look forward to hearing if it helps.

Ok, i just drove it again for a bit. Tried your setup as well.

I couldnt really get a better lap time. Shaved maybe 300ms off, which doesnt mean anything.

The cool thing about this car is that it revs to 11,000 rpm. which is amazing.
I forgot to note down the peak torque #s. (will edit them in).
she really should be a much faster car (407Hp) vs the RM (386Hp)
especially since she can pull each gear for much longer. but she isnt. and its pretty apparent when you drive one after the other.

I dont really get why shes 2 seconds slower than the RM. Weighs 100kg more which is a factor. but w/p ratio is just 0.10 higher. Has better aerodynamics, corners and brakes better. Its kinda strange to me. dissapointing.

lap time is even lower than the civic RM (thats just  but she does weigh 200Kg more)

Im assuming her only talent might be grid starts, where her high rpm will really come in handy. She'll still be pulling in first or early 2nd gear while the other cars are reaching for their 3rd. Should also help take corners faster. (all my tests are rolling starts so its a theory so far)

I will remove it from the bad buy list. She is dirt cheap. and youd end up paying 3 to 4 times more modding an integra RM. I agree, Good car for the money 👍
Would i choose this car in a race over the RM? probably not.
