Used it with Logitech DD, never went into settings anywhere just my own on the wheel from ACC at first, then it felt better with the Forza profile I use, turned down a notch;

Felt great, better than FH5, way better than The Crew 2, maybe a touch wobbly after some turns but I'm sure there will be a setting to solve that. Probably a better feel when turning than any game I've used the wheel on to be fair.
Same felt great, better than H5 IMO way better than TC2 with my Fanetec DD Wheel. Very happy with it.

Set bonuses:
  • +25% exp
  • +15% bucks
  • Loot digger x2
  • Sniffer x2
  • Nitro chemist +50%

Differences with tC2:
  • Cap for money affix - 20+21+15=56%. In tC2 its unlimited, but for same bonus you need 35*3*10=1050 levels. In tCM you need 20 legendary points(was obtainable in beta, afaik).
  • Cap for experience - 20+42+25+30(vehicle of the week with maxed Mainstage)=117%. In tC2 getting 142% only from parts.
  • IDK what modifier nitro set have(if there any)nitro chemist is +50% , affixes from parts were ~same for power/longevity and cut in half for gain. Maxed legendary points bonus almost the same.
  • Slightly less power bonus from parts for slipstream.
  • New & cut affixes, nothing META
  • NOt sure if reroll is bugged or just have fixed price(low).
  • New legendary points(LP) system. Instead of familiar level based, its activity based system. 5LP for every monthly Mainstage category(15 total), 10 for Italian Summit silver medal. If this is trend, obtaining all META perks would take years.

Categories EU month(revisit/compete/explore):
  1. =50k? +5%exp/5LP/50.000B
  2. =+50.4k 5LP/100.000B/+5%exp
  3. =+151.2k Mini Cooper TC/+5%exp/5LP
  4. =+252k Clothes+Title
At least, one category should be completed to gain access to Mainstage. Ideally, you need to complete all three, which is ~1.500.000exp.

Mainstage:
  1. =200k=+10%exp
  2. =+300k=smoke vanity
  3. =+100k=Huayra
  4. =+100k=title "European Legend"
  5. =+100k
At least, ~1.100.000exp needed for obtaining monthly car reward, all valuable Mainstage monthly rewards is 2.600.000exp.

Other known Mainstage rewards:
  • 2014 Lancer Evo X Red Fury [SR2] (Japan month?)
  • IVT Falcon R-1200R [SR2](American month?).

Is there a Legendary point cap from levelling up? Also I saw a French dude who had a level of 35,871 during a certain beta from the video I uploaded earlier in this thread so level cap could be beyond 9,999 but not sure at all.

Leveling doesn't provide LP, but reaching certain level in categories does. Categories resetting every month, so you can gain 15 points per month via them. You gain different prizes for reaching 4 levels in categories and 3 rewards for first 3 Mainstage levels. After that levels doesn't provide anything worth grinding(statuses).

With photo mode, once you change the time of day, when you exit to freeroam does it stay at that or reset back to whatever it was before entering photo mode? Also how is it with rain, can you "turn it on" in photo mode or does it just happen randomly when in freeroam or a race? Does the rain affect tyre grip and can you change to different tyres?

You can change the time of day in Photo Mode only. There are also different sub-times to pick the Weather conditions. Once you leave, the world resets to how it was before.

The tire system is a simplified version of the recent Need For Speed.
There is only one tire compound, but performance is increased by installing higher level tire parts.
And vanity items exist, which allow you to choose from a wide variety of tire looks, including slick tires, stretch tires, off-road tires, and crazy looking tires.
In the meantime, there are rumors that tires as this vanity item can affect grip, but I have not experienced that.

For example, this is an example of a tire that can be selected as a vanity item.

What? Payback has similar to tC upgrade system, but it was copied from tC1. Vanity system was copied from NFS into tC2, but it has more to offer. Recent NFS system is more like Forza. There is no tire compounds, like in Forza, because there is classes with preinstalled slicks/rally or road tires.

There was difference because of offsets and tire wideness. They patched it in s9, afaik.

BTW. How big is Oahu actually is? How much time you need to get from one side of the island to another? Is it bigger than Forza Horizon 5 map?

Oh, sorry for the misunderstanding.
I assumed @GTEnthusiast9 had never played the TC series, and I gave this explanation because I thought it would be easiest for him to imagine what the system was like.

Two Horizon 5 maps combined(~200km2). Excellent road layouts, especially in Volcano area(Laguna Seka flashbacks) and in mountains(Fortune island drift mountain-like). Honolulu is like two Surf Paradises in size and has all sorts of turns, cuts and even some verticality. Map is too big and complex to explore it all in three days, but its definitely one of the greatest maps in racing games.

Biggest concern is lack of traffic and animated objects. Map feels little bit lifeless because of that.

So there is no manual way to change the time of day while freeroaming? Eg. if you want to skip nighttime

Does that mean if I buy a street evo for example, I cannot use it offroad, or are there upgrades I can use that will let me race both on the street or offroad?

If affixes are still there, you might wanna look for the muddy affix for offroad driving a non all-terrain car. But like I say, the affix feature might not be there anymore.

You can't change class of vehicles, but nothing preventing you from racing rallycross car at tarmac or hypercar on dirt. Classes doesn't restrict where you race(anymore), but against who you race.

Affixes mostly unchanged, but muddy was replaced with "save speed while in water". Off-roading with hypercars became more tricky, but you can reach higher speeds.

And that is the reason I hope for the race creator to be added ASAP. It's the only way to make a race with traffic and the exact time and weather you want. So you can create the right type of race which you can practically use as free roam and enjoy the map without time and weather changing constantly.
You can customize Playlist races after you complete them. But making custom routes will most likely be in later, they already have randomized routes for The Grand.

I wonder if you can still slipstream traffic cars, for example, on a Motocross bike in TCM too. I love that feature in TC2.

Big question here:
We have 13 Summits and 12.5 weeks between early access and season 2(dec 6). How should it work? Most likely, image from transfer explanation picture have typo and s2 will start at Dec 13. I even could see pre S1 two-day-Summit "Summit classics". Or ****ed way - "American muscle power" summit will be 2 day long and only available to those who pre-order GE.
