no, as in they feel. I can't explain it now :P but they don't feel like the gran turismo cars. Those cars have a weighty feel as well as grip but in grid some cars just don't :)

Ahh, i understand, the strange feeling you really can't describe, i know what you mean.👍

Grid is the best for damage simulation

Even the tires blow up once in a while which does happen once in a while in real life

How and the way cars get a flip to

look at that CCX head on with another CCX at 200 / 200 kmh +

the other CCX is just bits and pieces at the end :D

That really doesn't look that great in my opinion. I think I prefer cars bouncing off of each other to passing through each other like they are not even there.

I know off topic but I just bought a used copy of Dirt 1 and I like it I think the cars handle and feel good compared to GT. And the damage is prett good. For Rallying p2p is all I can think of this generation for except for dirt 2 but I have only played the demo of that one and I think it's more arcadey maybe it's just me.

YOu know colliding cars sink into each other. It's not that big of a deal if there is some visual clipping. Overall the crash looks more realistic than those bouncing cars we have seen on GT.

If you like things going "boom" and "crack", you should try Flatout: Ultimate Carnage. It may be a slightly rough game but it's great fun.

I think I played Flatout 2 for a while; as a game, sure it's not so "polished" but it is a lot of fun! The physics are a mix of arcade and sim - the way the cars interact is very realistic, but the handling and actual (mechanical) damage model is more arcade-oriented. But the cars have a real weight to them and it feels great to rub paint here and there. I only played it with a keyboard, too. Makes the physics-based challenges a bit tricky, though.

Do you find the brakes are Too good.
Do you use a wheel, and does the input lag annoy you?

I use a G27. Ofcourse the only way to shift gears is with the paddle shifters. I do think the brakes are too good, and the input lag is not that bad I find the game fun and challenging to complete the stage going as fast as I can for a rally game.

Has anyone seen any footage of the damage to the C3 Corvette? The reason I'm asking is that the Corvette has a fiberglass body, and so would receive damage differently. It wouldn't bend and contort the same way metal would.

Look at this photo, for example:

I suspect that the in-game model probably receives damage the same as any metal car. But if it does take damage differently, then that would be amazing.

For an old game it's not bad. I actually prefer the physics on D2.
If D2 had the tracks from D1 it would be excellent IMHO.
The input lag throws me off, having to steer .5sec before you really need to is an art. Lol.
