I really wanna see Excel saga. I know its some satyrical thing, and I've been told is really funny. I think some sister of a friend has it... but it'll be a long time before I see her... I guess I should try to kazaa it. how many episodes it has?

there is something called "private message" that allows you to send him anything he and you want. and I think that the thread is called "general anime thread" not "post pictures of rice" and I dont see what does posting car pics has to do with rice. what you think matters, but as long as you stay close to the forum rules.

Excel saga is 30 episodes??? oh, damn... I think Ill wait till I see my friend :embarrassed:

Excel Saga is 26 episodes.. two seasons.. but watch out for ep 26... it was released straight to vid/dvd.. so no censors ;) Just made it SO much more fun though!

yea it's satyrical, it makes fun of a bunch of anime and also of Sentai (if you don't know, the Japanese version of power rangers) but it's hilarious. My avatar is from that series! You just gotta love Ropponmatsu #2 ;) :embarrassed:

i dunno, but heres what i know about exel saga: 1)i have an amv of it which compares it to pinky and the brain (it makes a convincing story anyways) 2) 2nd, they use the menichi thing in newtype magazine as an ad to get people to subsribe by putting crosshairs to it.

why pay 30 bucks for three eps than u can go to chinatown and pay 30 bucks for the whole set for initial d or any other anime           :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Did anyone see the new Big O episode on CN last night? What did you think of them? I thought it was confusing even though I've seen the first 13.

Big O...

i dunno if anyone is still interested in this being a place to post art, but here is something i made out of a test, the hand could use more detail, and i'm sure if you've seen hunter x hunter you will reconize this. Right now i'm in search of a nice picture of kurapica with red eyes to blend into the background.

Big O...

Big O kind of bothers me. It's something to do with the actually animation. Kind of like Reign bothers me. I think it's because the robots in Big O look kind of disproportioned.

Same here. I used to like it, I even have the first volume DVD, but the series just got worse and worse as it went. It's almost immature at times.

You can probably find the Blue Submarine No. 6 DVDs at animenation.com or rightstuf.com

nah, dude!!! gosh. I just said that the SAMURAI X name sucks. I hate when people call kenshin samurai X. its a lame name >.< I KNOW for sure that kenshin is the same kenshin in everything called kenshin ¬¬ OR samurai X. and no, the ovas are called remembrance. Im not arguing. just saying that the SAMURAI X name really sucks :P

as for love hina, its a fun series, but just that. it was entretaining. I like the girl with glasses (dunno if there is one, but I always like girls with glassses)

as for the drawing things, were, I draw anime, but not as much as I used to. now what I do is draw cars full time :P
anyway, here are some of my anime draws. these are really old, so consider my style has somewhat evolved from those years. all in all, im not that bad. I will have a page for all this someday not far, so I will tell you when that happens. meanwhile...

I like the Japanese names for Samurai X
The Beginning (the story of the cross shaped scar) is called
Tsuiokuhen. Rememberance is "Seisouhen". Much better than "Samurai X: (enter title here)"

Well, I saw my first episode of FLCL on Adult Swim yesterday. And in my opinion, it better improve by midway because it looks like incomprehensible blather to me.

I do not watch a lot of anime, but I do watch some, and there is similarity between FLCL and Evangelion, both Gainax (spelling?) productions or associated with the company, none of the characters are likable. Actually, the psycho with the guitar may end up being the best character.

From what I can make of this, some pushover kid idolizes his older brother whose girlfriend or, want to be girl friend, whatever, likes to tease the kid. What's his name Shinji could beat up mopy boy.

The tired jokes, mostly in the form of slapstick and whatever you call giant heads and flattened bodies, are not the most annoying part. But, before I say what that it is, I should mention one other thing. It seems robots will come out of his head, fight each other and be rewarded with servitude to miss nutcase.

And the worst: The incomprehensible dialog. If you were to guess that the response of one character on his feelings for a classmate was to recite William Blake's "The Tiger," it'd be a damn good guess.

Blue Gender had about the same or weaker voice acting, a dull character design and unoriginal story, but it was still better.

Either this thing is overrated, will improve soon, or I just "don't get it."

I agree, FLCL (whatever that means  ) was horrible, I'm not sure what the show was about. Just like Trigun, if they do not capture viewers with the first episode, not many will stick around to watch the second episode.

Blue Gender was better. I thought it had a somewhat interesting storyline. The voice acting was done by the same studio, FUNimation, that did the acting for Dragon Ball Z. Go figure...

i hate the american name 'fooley cooley', 'furi kuri' sounds so much better, i loved flcl, you dont like it big deal, it's one of those series you like BECAUSE it is weird! geez.... (again judging a series by its first ep, at least watch the whole damn series first, theres only 6 eps....)

i love anime!!

i like cowboy beebop DBZ & GTany of the gundam seriries and thats basically it im starting to grow out of it though

some of my fav movies are gundam wing:endless waltz , any of the dbz movies AKIRA (absoulety love this movie):D and vampire hunter D: bloodlust:D

thats how most people start off when they watch anime, cowboy bebop is a must see really, for me i believe my first series was love hina (the series that got me into anime, truthfully it was samurai pizza cats when i was 6, that was my first series :P )

Cowboy Bebop is a great series . . . I have yet to see all of it, but I absolutely love it. The ******* at CTN decided to take it off for the time being and I was going to watch the whole series through, which didn't get to happen. But now I decided to slowly buy each DVD one by one until I have all six of them, which right now I have three of them.

What a sad episode of Trigun tonight! :( :( :( "That tastes good." Wolfwood . . . what a great character. But I guess this does mean that it is getting closer to the last episode, which is just bloody freakin' awesome.

I agree with the last part of your statement. I watched the first episode of FLCL last night and thought it was rather odd and for the most part didn't have a clue what was going on. But I didn't watch tonight's episode because I decided to watch MacGuyver instead. It sure does bring back memories of watching the show of when I was growing up and watching the show every Monday. I'll eventually get around to watching all of FLCL though, I'm not going to go ahead and let my lack of viewing of the series detour me from watching the rest of it.

right on vash! :)
I didnt understand flcl when i first finished it, not entirely sure if i understand it anymore now :P I love it because of the various bits of hidden humor in it, the sound track is the best (so is the initial d one).
As for cowboy bebop the ending is great, u'm not going to say what happens, all i can say is it was, well... great :P
i'm yet to finish trigun, i'm at the point where he goes to fight legato . Theres no real need for me to finish trigun atm anyway, i have about 15 amvs so i have already peiced together what i havent seen :)

I like all works by Hayao Miyazaki..."kaze no tani no nausicaa", "totoro", "sen to chihiro nokamikakushi", "majyo no takkyubinn"," monoke hime"...etc

Right on about what? Well the first episode of FLCL just lost me . . . but I will eventually watch all of it and see if I can piece it all together. I've seen the ending of Cowboy Bebop and it is rather sad too. Dare I say it compares to last night of Trigun??? You should finish the rest of Trigun, most of the episodes are all pretty good. Most always have some pretty good humor in them, and some of them are just downright serious. Or at least eventually get around to seeing them all, it's well worth it.
