You're SO weird, you missed the point on why Asuka sucks.

Because she's a redhead?

Or is it because the show went through a slump in quality a couple of episodes after she was introduced, despite her first two being excellent in quality?

It has nothing to do with her phisycal appearance, nor the fact that she's 14. In fact, those two are like her only redeeming qualities.

I love the fact that all and any conversations among people who have seen Evangelion will come back at some point to Evangelion, even if they really should all be discussing Serial Experiments Lain...

Any way. I have recently noticed another subtle way in which Evangelion deconstructs it's own parody of it's own deconstruction of Humongous Mecha. Hint: Distribution of parental death.

Is it interesting that a google search for "Misato Katsuragi" brings up this on the first page?

(With the below quote seemingly being the cause)

Here's some Misato news:

Yes. She's a 14 year old and people think she's attractive. Come on ladies and gentlemen, if you're going to be attracted to an Eva character, you've got Mr and Mrs Fanservice in Misato and Kaji, both of whom are in their twenties.

Actually, to be honest, I don't really think it's that bad if people are attracted to Asuka. At least she isn't a real 14 year old. It's just that she's a really aggressive one. She does make for some of the funniest moments in the show.

I don't like her merely for looks. I think she's one of the most well thought-out characters in the series and has one of the best character arcs throughout the show. Her character is very deep. I'm not saying the others aren't, but the mix of how serious her history is and how she copes with everything is interesting and entertaining. I'm not going to get too much more in depth because I already have numerous times. If you don't like the character, that's fine. It doesn't mean that's it's a terrible character though.

IMO,Asuka remains constant throughout the series. But, she matures for the better in 3.0.

Why does the people or main characters in animes always look like a skinny emos with a spiky haircut. Cant stand them. Typical stereotypes.

Is there an anime about Zombies?

Hello GTP Anime freaks :sly:, I really need some help from you guys today!

I want to buy the four first seasons of Initial D, however I'm uncertain on what to buy exactly. One option is buying the S.A.V.E boxsets (Like this one) and then the extra stage (Or extra stages? Can someone please clarify me the number of Seasons/Stages Initial D has?). The second option is buying this other item I just found which, apparently, is a boxset comprising everything Initial D before Stage 5. The second option looks better money-wise, but I'm doubtful about it for a couple of reasons. First of all, the item comes from Malaysia and I'm unsure about the region block, do I have to worry about that? Also, it's the first time I see such item in eBay or Amazon and I'm unsure about it's authenticity.

Which one would you guys buy? Thanks in advance for your input! :)

Ah eBay, the "best" place to buy anime. And by best, I mean the worst by far. Go with just the S.A.V.E. edition, that release that's from Malaysia is actually a bootleg, and those are notorious for atrocious video quality from trying to cram way too many episodes onto a single disc.

I don't want more bootlegs. I actually got into Initial D because I bought a couple of bootlegs from some guy at my university and now I'm stuck in the middle of the battle with "God's hand" and his S2000 because the CD is damaged. I want the real deal, I want whoever is behind Initial D to receive my money because he/she damn well deserves it! :)

I think I'll go with the S.A.V.E ones then. A couple of questions though: Does the S.A.V.E edition come with the original music? And, what's the deal with the Extra Stage? Is it one or two volumes?

My Trigun bootleg looks alright, but it could look much better. The only good thing about bootlegs is that they put more episodes on a disc.

I have no idea, but I'd presume so (My knowledge of Initial D is next to none though). FUNimation has it now, not Tokyopop, so I doubt music edits would be there.
(IIRC FUNimation redubbed the entire show due)

Yes it does, both English and Japanese tracks. There are two Extra Stage volumes.

Thanks a lot for the answers guys. I'll definitely go with the S.A.V.E edition then. One last question and I'll stop bothering you :dopey:: The S.A.V.E edition of the second and third stages come with the "OVA Extra Stage", does it mean it comes with both volumes or just one? If it's the later, is it possible to get the second volume? I haven't seen it so far in eBay or Amazon. Kind regards! :)

After looking into it from here:

It seems BOTH Extra Stage OVA's are included in that package. That is a smokin' deal from Funi...

That it's a terrible show. I watch it for the cars. The characters have more plot armor than Naruto.

Hei

As if that's possible. Like in Dragon Ball, no one in Naruto stays dead, no one (Except a few characters). Bring them back to life again and again and again!

You got a problem with Initial D?

*Enters thread*

*Thanks the couple of guys that were nice enough to help me instead of posting snide comments*

Thanks guys!!! Smoking deal indeed, gonna buy all four seasons of it! :)

*Leaves thread wondering why people get annoyed at the sole mention of an anime series they don't like*

Exactly, and Takumi doesn't lose. Except that one time, then the other guy threw up before the race was over.
