I'm trying to point out that there's nothing wrong with the people that buy body pillows, they know what they want and go out and buy it. It then theirs to use however they want.

There's everything wrong with the people who judge them for what they buy for personal use and how they think they might be using it in the privacy of their own homes. You.

If someone wants to buy a giant Yoko pillow and take it home to have pretend sex with it, what is your problem exactly?

I firstly apologize for butting in. When I was volunteering at my local anime convention, I overheard a few volunteers talking about this sort of thing. One was appalled for this, the other was trying to say pretty much what has been said here.

This guy (I think): https://encyclopediadramatica.es/MadThad0890

I posted about him in this thread before. This guy, I tell you.
wat. do you know what site you linked? :P I think the guy I saw was a Japanese fellow.
My desktop is just a huge picture of Norio Wakamoto.
I didn't know who that was, so I Googled.

Is this your wallpaper?

Am I culturally ignorant for not knowing who Taylor Swift is, or is it some random person who it would have been highly unusual if I had heard of?

My desktop background used to be the Cardiacs and Radiohead logos alternating in a chequered pattern. I thought it was quite well done.

^She's a singer who (as far as I've heard) has not done a song that ISN'T about a break-up or boyfriend or something like that. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I haven't heard a single one. Her music also has a sort of country music vibe, and despite my place of residence, I hate country music.

This is off topic but you should definitely look her up.

A majority of her songs are about relationships. Also, her latest album is hardly country. And for the record, I'm also not a fan of country but I do like her music.

And now we return you to your regularly scheduled anime discussion. But, <3 Taylor.

I have come to the realisation that Rebuild of Evangelion is entirely intentional on Hideaki Anno's part, and it is all one giant metaphor for Neon Genesis Evangelion.

A friend showed me the first few episodes of Free, and I was right. Most of it is fan service. Plus, it made me feel self-conscious about my body. I really don't want that from an anime.

What's all this talk about body pillows? I have one, but it's just a regular one. No print or anything. I like how I can fold it over to get the height I want rather than stack pillows. Also if you fold it in half it's perfect for laying on the floor with the laptop in front.

All these Noel Vermillion avatars. You guys ready for Chronophantasma?

^ They better not have actors who portray sissy characters for the live action. That would be the biggest flaw for me.

Thanks for the optimism, Cano. So much for a discussion.

Its been out for months and Noel actually has a learning curve.

The snow white thing kills it for me.

Live action? I have no problem with live action and I'd be willing to give dream works a chance if the preview looked good. However, with that director and what I thought of SW & The Huntsman I'd say it will be a stinker. Really sorry to hear about another good title being ruined.

You guys should all go check out "The Edge Of Tomorrow."
I posted a thread about it in the TV Movies for a while back and it still has no responses. Makes me wonder if any one is actually interested in mech based combat anymore.

I mean, it's based on a manga so that should help, right? 👍

Oh, and Emily Blunt isn't exactly hard on the eyes either. :embarrassed:

I can't be the only one that digs the song in the ending of Space Dandy:

Have had a terrible time finding the name of it (even shazam has failed me), but I found it pretty catchy.

I tried to avoid using the words "all you need is kill" to encourage curiosity.

That said its on manga here.

As for space dandy...
My out rage was enough to over come an good thoughtsmabout future episode or soundtracks.

He messed up horribly with space dandy and i only hope its not his last production like miyuzaki's offense to humanity that everyone avoided once @MHPALA mentioned and I commented on.

Real funk?

Which Miyazaki work are you talking about?

Also, have you seen the uncensored version of Mezzo Forte?

"The Wind Rises" ... You know, the one he's ending his career on (on a horrible, disrespectful, and borderline trollish level).

And yes but we shall not speak of that sort of thing here.

I haven't seen it so I can't comment, but is it really that bad, because I think it looks great and want to see it.

 Yeah I know but I saw your delicious new avatar and had to ask.

And strangely enough the avatar is old, like from 5 years ago or something. I used to have it with the custom title "guns and butter."

Just felt like it was time for an avatar change and... Dat 1911. :P

But yeah, the wind rises is basically a movie about the creator of the Zero fighter, more emphasis is placed on the loss of a plane than a person, all Japanese war crimes are either ignored or completely absent, and the Japanese are suddenly victims of Nazi Germany rather than allies.

It's a spit in the face of actual history and honest people alike. :unamused:

I didn't expect it to be historically accurate, I just like old prop planes.

Oh, there is a 1911 in that picture. Just noticed it. :P

Historically accurate v. pretending to be on the other side of the war make for a pretty big difference. I don't expect him to make a big deal about the war crimes like what happened in nanking but I do expect some basic respect for the events of WW2 as they actually happened and not a full blown denial.

It's sad to see that a man who contributed so much to this genre will finish his career with an embarrassing and disgraceful movie.
