A few people and I were talking about dubs an subs and stuff, and we got to how dubs usually sound mediocre after watching it in subs beforehand... anyway, remember in Index II where those girls whipped out pens and stabbed their own ears? didn't you make you cringe a little? I like the changes made to Shinji in Rebuild. Though I personally don't mind the original whiny Shinji nearly as much as some people do.

It's not bad. It's intentionally in a different style than the Asuka of the actual series... it's a little more cutesy and a little less sexy.
Which makes it a little bit meh. It's kinda cute, but I prefer sexy Asuka.
