Giving it a drop shadow was like the next thing to do naturally I decided not to though this time since I did do it back in the rounded square avatars.

Here's the sexy full-rez version:

I clearly didn't really consider how it would look at 120px. Even if I can make the panels a little bigger by getting rid of the drop shadow, I may still have to resize the Misato and Rei pics to make them a little bigger.

I don't know what I can do to take that a step further... the idea already seems too "finished" to be worked on any longer. I'm just coming with other panel style at this point.

Something this broad and vague doesn't need to be lifted from anywhere :P

Also, Congratulations uMadson?! You are now a member of the A.O.S Brigade!

Congrats uMadson?! We are growing stronger.

AOS- release the member list already! :P

In Cephiro, your will determines everything.

I'm actually really glad I'm taking my time with Rayearth. One thing that can ruin an anime experience is to watch it all ina 2-3 day marathon. I get to digest and even become nostalgic about it, and then go back for more. This really is a (simple in some ways) very basic great anime series.

YIPPIE-KAY-YAY! Thank you AOS- :D

Now if my internet will go back to normal I can now watch NGE. 👍

In any case, observe this:

What do you think? Think of it this way, the style sits at 100px in both axis, but premos get more pixels.

The weird shapes allow each image to be more unique: The top panel is best suited for horizontally arrange images, the bottom left is for vertically arrange images, and the bottom right is for images that have a central focal point. The sample used slightly illustrates that.

^ There's that. Then there's this after a brainstorming session. (There's 5 of them)

I personally have a soft spot for Banner proportioned layouts... it's pretty traditional and more often times than not tend to be easier to get desirable results. The down side to this in comparison to the current scroll layouts is that we won't get any dynamic poses, or assertive stances like the character in the center of my avatar.

I like the first and fourth ones. The rest are ok but would work better for just one character IMO.
