Personally I think changing the races weekly is the right idea, but they need more than three at a time. Really, there should be one for every single class of cars in the game. That way if people want to browse and try lots of different things they can, but also if someone wants to focus on a single event it's around long enough to be worthwhile. That's how iRacing does it, and it works pretty well even though their player base is probably at least an order of magnitude below GTS's.
I feel as though this may be changed in the future as the ruckus from release dies down a little bit. They kinda have to implement more online Sport Mode races soon enough because we don't have a career mode - the online has to fill that gap, and the only way that can happen is to have more events.

Seems everyone is completely ignoring the Lobby mode still -_- .

The Test Seasons start Nov 4th for me, Signed for Alfa, Manufacturers Cup.

Until then, I do the odd Sport race and use Lobby, look for "Clean" in the title and crack on. GT-Sport isn't only Sport mode.
I don't think people are ignoring the lobbies, yes you can get some great experiences there but it's just the lobbies rarely produce on a regular basis what sport mode does and was marketed to do so. Trying to find a race that starts on time, is clean, with equal category cars, drivers of relatively equal ability so it's an exciting race (not feeling like a glorified time trial), a decent amount of laps and with more than 5 racers can be near impossible most of the time where sport mode has the potential to provide this most of the time as the PD team and Kaz marketed the game to us.

So after my struggles I finally golded 32 and 35 with help from people here I thank you.
Now I am on 36 with the sls I have driven one of these in real life and found it the worse car I have ever driven handling straight from a lop sided hovercraft they are that bad. Way to much power and the differential from an Austin Cambridge. It's a Mercedes I expected nothing less lol.
So any way I have TC tried on every setting and abs down to 1 from 5 then 4 then 3 then 2 . I brake where it tells me and feed the car in sweet to the apexes and all I can achieve is just and I mean just bronze 24.697. Where am I going wrong? If I brake a fraction later I run wide and lose time or off the track I can't see how to get any closer to the apex kerbs without it slowing me down. I lose a bit of time as when I hit accelerate after the second bend to go down the straight the car seems to not want to go seems to be sluggish like I am in 5th instead of 2nd takes an age to get from 55 to 65 mph If I gear down anymore the car twitches all over the place and I lose time.
Help again please. And no answers of it's because you are rubbish (I know this already) :)
If you post a video then it would be easier to help you. In the absence of a video my recommendation is use the cones and only use the cones as a guide and watch some Youtube videos of people getting gold. I'll also point out that if you see someone taking curbs in a Youtube video in that section of the track I don't take curbs there at all because I learned to drive Nordschleife in other sims and you don't take curbs there. You can get gold without taking any curb in that section.

I find races in Lobby like that regular. Sport mode will take time for rankings to settle and none-test seasons to start. It was never intended to be like Lobby with different races all the time imo. It's for official championships.

I mean, why have more than one car and one track anyway? It's not like anyone actually achieves mastery of even a single car/track combination, so having more than that is a waste of time and resources. The game should have one car, one track, and the online should be a single event held only on that one car and track. Amirite?
No way, there's the N class races which you can stick to so that can be your one car one track, as for me I prefer using garage cars for races where I know which Gr.4\Gr.3 car I prefer to drive and race other people with custom livery's, ....each to their own.

Your sarcasm detector is broken.

Your sarcasm detector is broken.
There were other people who replied to you in a similar fashion but all of a sudden it's sarcasm? No smiley faces no winky winky not even a (sarcasm) but my detector is broken? Your attempt at sarcasm was broken because multiple people quoted you. Have a good day sir.

Actually, no. The people who quoted me got the sarcasm, as you may notice. And we discussed the actual issue of limited races and how often they should change. You know, the actual content behind the sarcasm.

You'll also notice that the post contains the word "amirite", which is probably a bit of a giveaway that I don't think I'm right. I'm not sure I've ever seen someone use that to ask if they're actually right, hence the misspelling and the three words jammed into one. But hey, maybe you're just the sort of guy that needs it spelled out instead of noticing that it was an absurdist response to the previous post. And you say you're 46? Fascinating.

One car and one track in the whole game with a single race? And you need more information to establish whether that's sarcasm?

I wish I could find races like that regularly in the lobbies but unfortunately for most of us we don't have that kind of luck. In fact Sport Mode was supposed to be like lobbies but with all the things I mentioned before, it was made to try overcome the multitude of problems players experience with the lobby mode in racing games, yes there are official championships thrown in but remember this is a game made for mass appeal, not to cater for the top 1% of hardcore sim racers, at the end of the day and we were told the game would contain and provide these things for regular players. Remember, only a handful would get the benefit of sport mode if it were truly for official championships and that doesn't make sense for a successful selling model at all

While I agree with many many post here. I just see this thread a way to express your frustration with the absurd design choices or other elemental flaws PD have made and continue to do so.
I am going to rant only about one particular aspect of the game "the sound". I am impressed with the "sound improvement" overall but does it really compare to other titles.. (close but no, not really).

Personally I do not have the game myself (nor a ps4(pro)) but having played the game at a friends house and hearing some of my favorite cars sound made me dissapointed (not to mention the lack of the car list in itself overall).

There are some cars that do not sound good at all and I can come and say this while many do have a "decent" sound it does not come close to what -insert other title- sounds like.

Engine sounds: You can hear distinction of 4 cylinder, 6 cylinder, v8, v10, v12 and w16 but they all seems to lack an intake sound (it feels like they are poorly or not presently mixed in with the exhaust sound of the car)

Transmission whine: I am getting super annoyed about this, all I want is to be able to set a volume slider for different sound effects so that I can tweak and hear the engine sounds a bit better!
But seeing the way sound is being mixed in this game I can only hope.

Sound effects: Glad they are finally introducing some nuances like pops, crackles and other meaty backfires but some of them easily sounds pretty repetitive and too quiet. Again this is where a sound slider would be usefull to tweak the volumes.
But hearing these sound effects on the Gr.B rally cars is where it starts to dissapoint the most compared to the Dirt series (not trying to make this a VS thread just my initial opinion on the sound effects).

Noticed there is a "increase sound effects" option on the sound but this will surely make the transmission whine overpower all the other tiny details.

So the sum up: Sounds are weak (still better compared to previous GT games), transmission whine is annoying, needs a sound slider and need to increase some sound effects (or make it louder) on some of the cars especially Gr.B cars.

While I have fun with daily races, sport mode is in no way a substitute to a career mode. Not enough variety, no "goal", no championships like a mx5 championship...
Honestly, I love the discovery feature and the menus in general, the base is good but there is simply not enough content and many features missing. I could be a little more patient, though the lack of communication of Poly is simply bad. Am I surprised? No, even more from a GT6 player.

BOP is either a total joke or blatant nepotism.

Gr. 4 and Gr. 3 need urgent BOP (balance of performance) re-balancing, I don't know if Polyphony did it to bias things towards Nissan as a means of corporate shilling towards them, but most Sport Mode races feel like single-make races because the top-half is always exclusively a GTR-club in both for the unrealistically OP GTRs in Gr. 4 and Gr. 3, I feel like a lot more needs to be done to get the cars a lot closer together in performance.

If Polyphony wants Sport Mode races to mimic real-world GT4 and GT3 races then they need to make sure that there isn't one car that's clearly OP compared to everything else.

I really question whether or not Polyphony actually ever watches any motorsport or they just base the car performance on whatever they feel like as if it was an arcade game like Ridge Racer or something, and here's why:

If you watched GT3 racing you'd know that the present day version of the GTR GT3 struggles to even finish in the top 10 these days in Blancpain Endurance: a championship they once won. The top cars that are wining the lions share of races are the Lamborghini Huracan, Bentley Continental (which doesn't exist according to Polyphony), Mercedes AMG, BMW M6 and Audi R8. The highest placed GTR in Blancpain Endurance (which is the top GT3 championship IMO) is 23rd in the championship with the current version of the car and an all PRO driver line-up.

In real-world GT4 racing, the likes of BMW, Aston Martin, McLaren and Porsche rule the roost, there is no GTR in GT4 racing, but there is the 370Z, which again, struggles to finish in the top 10.

Yet, in Polyphony's warped interpretation of motorsport, nothing shall dare ever be faster than their holy saint of GT racing: an ANCIENT 5 year old version of the GTR GT3 is apparently so much better than the Huracans, AMGs and R8s in Gr. 3, while in Gr. 4; gone is the 370Z, replaced with another OP GTR, Polyphony may as well have invited all other manufacturers to drop to their knees with their mouths wide open in their shiny and over-indulgent office if this is how they interpret competitive motorsport.

No skit marks and nearly no smoke from the tires kills the overall beauty of any race replay IMO.
Its 2017 and skit marks are still too hard to implement properly? Come on PD

That is rather strange because there were skid marks in the closed beta :odd:

Seriously:censored:🤬🤬🤬🤬, I am growing very tired of only getting the damn Vision GT cars for my prize cars :indiff::ill::mad::nervous:
You think that's bad? Just yesterday I got my third, MY THIRD Peugeot 208 GTi. And then the next gift car I got right after that is the regular Peugeot RCZ. :grumpy::grumpy::grumpy: Dammit Kaz, I don't need three copies of the same 🤬 vehicle. Adjust the shuffle so that it actually gives us something that isn't in our garage yet.

Fun fact, one of the cars shuffled alongside the third 208 was a LaFerrari, and one of the cars shuffled alongside the RCZ was a Veneno. :grumpy::grumpy::grumpy::grumpy:

I just don't get why is this project such a mess. It is really sad considering how good start they had with the first few GT games.

Today's been a write-off for me as far as the Gr. 3 daily race is concerned. A while ago, I started the race in 2nd and managed to take the lead at the start, but someone rammed me from behind at the chicane, and I had to slowly cut the chicane back onto the track (no penalty, thankfully), dropping down to 6th. I managed to get back to the lead at around Lap 7, but on the next lap, someone else spins me out at the exit of Turn 1, and I drop down th 6th again. I manage to get back up to 3rd by the end of the race, but I was so frustrated that I couldn't care less where I finished.

In the most recent race, I find myself fighting @praiano63 for first place. We're breaking away from the rest of the pack, and I'm keeping him honest, staying around a second and a half behind him. At lap 4 (or 5, can't remember which) praiano makes a mistake coming out of Turn 4, and I take the lead from him... only to get promptly disconnected as soon as I pass him (just so happens to be the first time I've been disconnected mid-race) . :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Honestly, what do I have to do to get a win for this race?

Besides the dupes, why can't we even sell them for some credits instead of deleting???!!!

If I have anything to complain about is that the ghost doesn't apply the livery and the ghost doesn't show the driver.

Also this GT is also to serious for it's own good.

Man I'm so angry! I can't play this game and now I remember one of the main reasons I gave up the older titles.

No manual pedal calibration!

I like this game so much but I can't play it because of that one missing feature.

I have always used Logitech pedals and over time the pots in Logitech pedals don't function like they did when they were new. This isn't a problem in any other game I play because you can calibrate the pedal but GT Sport has the insane idea of auto calibration with no deadzones and as a result I get to watch my brake dragging randomly as I drive so I am always losing valuable time. It has even caused loss in SR in races as I unintentionally brake check cars behind me while going down a straight.

I don't know what to do anymore. It's got to the point where it is unplayable, I just got so angry playing it I felt destructive. I'm here saying the game is great because it mostly is but this one issue is completely wrecking my experience.

I don’t know why, maybe because it’s Halloween, but this made me laugh so hard at the thought of a possessed, demonic pedal hell bent on destruction.

And now you understand why some of us are constantly asking for these small features that we find in other sim games. Fine tuning your view, fine tuning your wheel, fine tuning your FFB. All small things but they all add to the enjoyment of the game without affecting other users who can simply stick with default settings if they want to.

Sport mode is great - I just had maybe the best online race I've ever experienced.

But thats literally all there is to this game. Just waiting until the next GR.3 Sport race.

That's why you play Project Cars 2.

New set of daily race is out today with lake maggiore "backward" !!
what the heck is that backward circuit in real driving simulator? I just feel embarrassed to see this happening...
