FINAL ENTRY

I don't know anything about anime, and I wasn't finding anything else I wanted to use in the Discovery section, so I picked a random anime character out of the Discovery section because I thought her green hair looked cool. Anyway, this is my first ever attempt at an itasha livery.

The power of randomness made you pick C.C. from Code Geass, what an amazing choice you randomly made! Love her! And love your livery, what a work!

Did these to learn how to take those white background pictures.

Not much of an anime fan. Although I do like Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo, both by Shinichiro Watanabe. Watching this morning in fact. :)

Nissan's Half-Botched Attempt at an Itasha

It's the FIA 2018 Series Manufacturers World Final, and Nissan wanted something special for their car to stand out from other manufacturers who preferred to use their existing liveries. Seeing as both Kokubun-san and @TRL LIGHTNING are interested in Anime, they decided to do an Itasha just for them.

The idea behind it is to represent all 3 drivers in one livery, from the German side graphics and the triangular striping work in the colours of Brazil, to the all-important character on the side and the bonnet, which just so happens to be one of the Kanmusu (i.e. Ship Girl) from a super-popular browser game named Kantai Collection (or KanColle for short). The character on the side is a personification of a WWII ship named Inazuma, which just so happens to mean Lightning in English. Other stuff include the usual sponsors such as RAYS for the wheels, Yokohama for the tyres, and Eneos for lubricants (even though they usually use MOTUL lubes), and then on the back is a rather peculiar sponsor in form of Hizal Cookies, a Turkish-German cookie company that is said to improve someone's stamina, allowing them to run LIGHTNING FAST! Sadly there are no Igor Fraga and Williams eSports related stickers, despite having the driver in question as part of their lineup, plus some hefty backing from Williams GP Engineering.

In order for that to happen, they naturally paid some money to Kadokawa and DMM Games, two companies behind that browser game. This also means a sponsorship opportunity for Team Nissan, to which the former two companies targeted them to finish at least in the Top 10. Fortunately for Nissan, their drivers are pretty much capable of a Top 3 finish, allowing for a bigger opportunity for more money for Nissan and Kadokawa.

Then it's Race Week at the N24 for the one and the only race for the Manufacturer Series World Final, and the team cannot go into the Super Pole session after only qualified in 7th. Then come into the race and Kokubun-san got screwed over by an unfair "corner cut" penalty by some ape-brained stewards, and then Mik Hizal ends up spinning into the wall exiting out of Schwedenkreuz, and Fraga ran out of fuel at Antoniusbusche on the final lap, but manages to stay at the Top 10, just barely within Kadokawa and DMM's expectations, though it could be even worse if they had known the speed Team Nissan's drivers have over the course of a race or two.

Because of how basic looking the livery is, other manufacturers ridiculed the design as "cheap", with one guy from Team BMW said that it was on slum-level compared to designs from people such as yuyuko_0418 and orthoside. After hearing the criticisms of several people, Nissan decided to dump the livery into the bin and vowed to just use their 2018 Blancpain GT Series livery for the 2019 Series.

EDIT: Inazuma decal by @Mistah_MCA.

A2 is my favourite Automata character actually! Good to see I'm not alone in this

My idea was to try and make an anti-anime car. They are always very bright and vivd, so a more muted, simple version was what I went for. Initially knocked together an Akira livery, but realised it didn't fit the brief, so changed it to an Attack on Titan minimalist car.

To be honest I had more fun trying to get the decals to fit the 15kb limit, but the car will have to do :)

Hey, all these competitions are improving my livery creating skills (in my opinion ;)). First having to compete in creating your own decals really helped me in this competition. I found out that my decals were trending, even made the third spot.

I was wondering if I could do something different, then the current posts. I see a lot of liveries which have even better decals and are better designed..... So I was wondering how I could distinguish myself.

Having 'some' experience in inverted/seethrough decals, was the thing which triggered me in creating a livery. I was wondering if I could use a glitter base and being able to make different color glitter paints on the same car. After trying different see-through stickers I found out that a saturation of 50% gave the best results (after editing and trial and error).

Finally, I chose the color-changing glitter paint as a base. With specially created decals with see-through, I was able to make different glitter colors on the cars. Which in my opinion looks really awesome when you are driving around the circuit. Hope you enjoy this livery!!

Thanx for the YouInTheBox for the back decal!!

With the holiday, I didn't have a lot of computer time, and don't really care for Japanese anime, so threw this together, with stuff I already had.

I’ve used that technique a few times in the past with these events. My Animal livery this week uses it to give the pink stripe a glitter pink look with colorshift.

Board and Car selection not meet rules.

CARS : Gr.1 / Gr.2 / Gr.3 / Gr.4 / Gr.B / Gr.X race cars only.
- The car must use real numberplate (i.e SGT, Blancpain, or PWC) or Basic Numberplate 01 & 02.

Thanks for pointing that out, i’ll adjust it tonight. (Change car and plate)

Maybe just me, but these Vision GT stuff are pretty much race cars.
the problem it's pure breed concept car different like RS.01 (GR.X), kart car, old formula car, even drift car you see it and read the story behind it then you'll say "oh this is race car" different story for other VGT, if it didn't appear on GR.3 or GR.1 maybe it can't consider as race car it just a your future concept race car. That's from my vision anyway.

Welcome to the club @Kiki25
Nice colourful livery, maybe you might want to enhance the pictures a bit: study the OP.
- If you choose the White Sands 01/09 location, please follow the settings in the spoiler below.
