@I Am Yellow: I found the Aston and the Ferrari to be the best handling cars for me so I was just bummed to find out even as a reserve that couldn't choose either car.

As a reserve you don't pick a car.
 
I say if there is a specific car the reserve wants to 'reserve' for, then they must rely on one person from that team to not turn up. Is that correct? 💡
 
Yeah I agree, and why? As a reserve he picks a car he wants to run and if one of the guys in the cars he wants to run doesn't show up- he does! Isn't that how it'll work? If he doesn't want to run the other cars then he has to wait. That's what a reserve driver is.

Yea. Most don't want to do that though.

It's just the system prevents the maximum amount of drivers if the event occurs.

If it occurs? We always race. Only time I've pushed a race back was when my best friend was in a car wreck.

If a reserve doesn't want to race a car- that's fine, chances are the reserves will be no where to be found in 2 weeks anyways.
 
We've never forced anyone to run another car before. Usually the reserves don't turn up, so this might be a new problem for us.

I wasn't talking about pushing races back. The forced car selection is what I meant.
 
Just a note to people wanting to join/reserve for the Ferrari.... You got no chance! :D TBW and Lout will turn up to every race, pretty much.

Myself and Damu will attend the races also, so that rules out the Aston Martin... dems the brakes. :lol:

Well, my understanding of it would be the reserve drivers run only when one of the regulars isn't available or doesn't show up. So logic would state that in such an occasion, a reserve driver would drive the car that the person he/she is filling in for picked. Why would a reserve driver get to pick a car?
 
Every other series allows free choosing with reserves, as far as I know. Correct me if I'm wrong.

New team name idea: Angry Pirate racing (check urban dictionary if you don't know what it means)
 
Any DP guys run laps with the R390, tested at Daytona and running contant 1:39s with a best of 1:38.8.
