If it's true the Biden-Harris campaign has pulled out of Texas as a result of this attack, then couldn't that constitute some kind of interference in the campaign? Could grounds now be present that might justify legal actions challenging the admissibility of the vote in Texas?
I doubt it considering they were still able to hold other events. Harris was just in Fort Worth yesterday and got to do her rally. I think the Pflugerville event was the last in Texas, anyway. She's on her way to Florida, iirc.

Pflugerville

"Hey, Buck what should we name our town?"

"Gee Slim I don't know."

"How about you just slam your hand on a keyboard and put ville after it?"

"You're a rootin' tootin' genius!"

*I assume all Texans have names like Buck and Slim while using phrases like "rootin' tootin'" Although my extensive knowledge of Texas comes from old westerns and country songs.

I think you'll find plenty of names with Germanic origin.

Excuse me, that's incredibly offensive to believe we say rootin' tootin'.

We like to yee and we like to haw, and say howdy ya'll.
Also wear 10 gallon hats, boots and spurs everywhere?

How can the truck be guilty of hitting a car that is half in it's lane.
Lanes are just lines on the road. You can't hurt a line by driving over it.

But you can hurt a car and the person in it by running into it.

As for "Texas", if the only place you'd been is Houston you'd think there were all IPA drinkin', disc golf playin' Commiefornians.

Irony being that outside the major gay frog urban areas, Commiefornia's rural areas are literally Republican Texas.

From what I understand Democrats opened the door to this scenario in 2013 by changing the 60 votes needed to confirm a SCOTUS justice to a simple majority. What seems apparent is that the US political system has come off the rails in pursuit of unbridled partisanship.

It seems pretty clear that both parties are willing to be incredibly short sighted in order to get a quick win. Having 60 votes to confirm seems entirely sensible to me, and a great way to at least try and get SC judges that are not too politically biased. Surely there are at least some out there that would be tolerable to both parties.

But no, instead everything has to be done right now and the future stability of the political system be damned. I'm not sold that the founders of the USA were the ultimate political geniuses and that their systems can never be improved, but they sure seem a lot smarter than some of the pond fungus that's in office these days.

It might not run exactly to today but this might be the most important graphic I've ever seen in relation to US politics. It is staggering how polarised the USA has become.

Chart of the likelihood of partisan politics or willingness to work cross-party

Edit: Link because the image won't load.

Here's the YouTube video version. Note that it only goes as far as 2013.

The "Trump Train" attacking Biden's caravan is being referred to as Y'all Qaeda and that's just about my favorite thing right now.

Haven’t been looking at POtuS’ twitter other than what ends up in the news.
Taking a quick look now, it’s worse than the media makes it seem.

Nice video. It's pretty clear to me that the Republican party were the ones who separated/stopped cooperating, and they did it during their severe minority during Reagan's presidency. Southern Strategy at fault? I also note a few congresses where Democratic representatives from red states defied their constituents and voted heavily with Republicans in the 25+ years since then, especially the past couple congresses.

It doesn't work in text, but when spoken out loud, Pie'esh raises a sensible chuckle.

Good to see that a bunch of delusional Trump voters are on the same level as a bunch of murderous Muslims.

Said nobody ever. It's a funny play on words about people classed by their own government as domestic terrorists. The kind of guys who were plotting to kidnap and murder a state governor. That goes way beyond wacky hijinks.

And you even quoted the post.

But as long as it is the opposition, it's all fun and games. You guys are part of what makes GTP a **** place lately. Hypocrites.

Just a couple weeks ago a bunch of delusional Trump voters plotted to kidnap and murder a governor that Trump didn't like. A convoy of good ol' boy redneckmobiles threatening a presidential tour bus, also at the approval of Trump, doesn't seem too terribly far removed from that.

Think you could find a better hill to die on, personally.
